    Advent breathed heavily as sweat dripped off his forehead. His strength was fading quickly. He used the back of hand to wipe the sweat off as well as brush a few strands of his white hair out of his eyes. "Angel..." He forced himself to keep running, hoping he wouldn't be too late.

    Angel forced back a whimper as the second beast tightened its grip on her arms. She clenched her teeth as the first approached her. She was ready to give it another rough kick if it dared to touch her.

    "It's always fun when they act tough."

    Advent looked up ahead, seeing a few of the beasts crowding around...he couldn't see but he knew it was Angel. Damn it! I'm sorry! "Hey!" He shouted at them, in as dark a tone as he could muster, trying to sound like the Corona. "Leave her alone!" Advent centered his eyes on one of the beasts, getting ready to attack it once he was closer.

    Angel turned her head to try to see Advent, but couldn't because of the hold the second beast had on her. She waited, wondering why the beasts didn't respond right away.

    "We weren't sent by you. We do not have to follow your orders."

    Angel flexed one of her hands as much as she could, but couldn't find a source of water to manipulate. As the third talked with Advent, the first beast waved one of its paw-like hands in front of Angel's right eye. Angel caught the movement with her left eye and unleashed another kick at the beast. To her disappointment, it moved out of the way in time.

    Advent continued running, slamming his shoulder into the nearest beast. "Then I'll make you move!" He shouted, getting back up to his feet. Even though the other beasts were still so close, Advent had to tell Angel something. He slowly turned towards her, intending to take down the beast that had her pinned. "I'm so sorry for leaving! And..." He trailed off, biting his lip as he thought of what he would say. I have to do something...

    Angel sighed, and lowered her head. She was not mad at Advent for leaving; half the time she was expecting that he would leave the moment he could. She was about to snap back at Advent to show she was fine when the beast holding her moved one of its hands to the back of her head. She held back the cry that was pushing its way up her throat, clamping her mouth shut.

    "It seems our master isn't the only one who wants this girl's powers...."

    The pressure on her head was making Angel dizzy. Her already impaired vision started to waver and blur as pain and desperation took presidence.

    "I don't want her powers...." Advent said lowly, shaking in anger. Then what do you want? You don't want to be a hero, that's for sure. An inner voice told him, not the Corona(although it had its voice) but something in his conscience(ooc: Can't spell!). Advent pointed a finger at the beast that was causing Angel so much pain. "Bang." He mumbled, shooting a sharp blade of wind at it. I may not be a hero...but I can try to be someone better! Why try when you're doomed to give in to the darkness? Is it to spite it? Or because...I love Angel.

    OOC: OOOOOoooooooooh. XD

    OOC: lines like these "'Bang.' He mumbled, shooting a sharp blade of wind at it." make me squeal like a fangirl XDDDD (I thought of Roy Mustang!) I have to say it: Could Advent get any sexier?? Lol. It's hard to write a character that goes against him!

    BIC: Angel was dropped to the ground by the beast, recieving shallow scratches on her neck in the beast's attempt to take the necklace. Despite all she was feeling, Angel stood back up, stumbling back a couple of steps. She pulled out her daggers and raised her head to glare at the two beasts before her.

    "She wants more."

    "She wants more? Then let's give her more!"

    "But Master said to bring her to him alive."

    "Aw... that he did. He doesn't want us to have all the fun."

    "I've got a message you can give to your master," Angel growled. "Tell him that if he wants me so badly... he should come for me himself!"

    OOC: FINALLY! I made a sexy character! 8D I like that line.

    BIC:Advent moved swiftly in front of Angel soon after she stood up, extending an arm as if to hold her back. "If you want them any angrier just tell me!" He said loudly, aiming the palm of his other hand at the beasts. "Thomas is the one doing this." He muttered toward her. "Stay back and let me do all the work." He glanced over at Angel, grinning before winking at her. "Deal?"

    "Thomas...?" Angel wanted to, but couldn't, protest. She was having trouble enough standing up; a fight would be too much for her. "Fine," She mumbled in agreement, sheathing her daggers. With only one beast left, it was hard to just be still. The again, she wasn't still; she was waving, trying to keep herself standing. What the last beast said next sent shivers up her spine.

    "Death will come quickly to you, Seer. And it will be no accident."

    Advent growled, suddenly balling his hand into a fist. The movement caused the air around the beast to increase in pressure dramatically. Advent was trying to kill it by basically crushing it to death. "Shut up! Angel's not gonna die as long as I'm alive!"

    Advent took several deep breaths, letting his anger settle down before turning slowly towards Angel as he lowered his hand. "I'm so sorry..." He whispered, lowering his head. "How's your head?"

    "I'd do anything for you..." He whispered, feeling his face heat up as he spoke. Advent stared at the nearby inn and thought for a moment, knowing that going back inside wasn't probably the best idea.
