"Why...? Why would you do this..?"

"You stood in my way just as the others did. None of you could possibly understand." The hooded figure's keyblade vanished as he approached the fallen Master who was surrounded by his students, each of them barely breathing. The man looked to the blackened sky as the ground beneath him began to shake. "This world too, will fall." Even as he spoke the wind began to pick up as dark clouds swirled overhead.

Knowing there was not time to spare the hooded keyblade wielder gripped the Master's collar to lift the man off the floor with relative ease. "Don't waste your last moments cursing me for this betrayal. I can fix this. All of this if you just tell me where they are."

"Chasing the light–" The Master coughed out blood splattering it on the black sleeve of his enemy. "That's what caused the first war. You know this!" He gripped the hooded figure's arms as his eyes stared into the black void where a face would have been. "Please, there's still time..." The Master's voice was low and even with the small distance between them it was difficult to hear his voice.

"Not for you." Dropping the Master the hooded wielder summoned a keyblade in their right hand and prepared to strike him down when a young student's desperate voice cracked through the storm.

    "Fira!"

The magical burst of flame sped towards their left side but broke apart when the hooded figure summoned a second keyblade leaving them unharmed. The black void hiding their face turned towards the young man who had launched the attack. The young keyblade wielder froze in place in shock that his surprise attack had failed so spectacularly.

"Looks like I missed one." The hooded wielder mused. The ground began to shake leaving the young man struggling to keep his balance as the hooded figure began to walk towards him. "I'm sorry it has to be this way, but I have no other choice."

"No!" The Master gripped the hooded figure's leg in an attempt to stop his apprentice from meeting the fate of his fellow students but this futile effort was only met with the quick swipe of a keyblade. The Master rolled over onto his back and looked onward at his last student as he began to fade into fragments of light. "Allow us to be your power..."

The Master raised his hand, palm outstretched to the only apprentice who still remained on his feet. As he did so, the other students around him stirred and followed suit holding their hands out to the only one with strength left to fight. One by one they began to vanish into fragments of light that began to circle the young man. One by one they faded away until just his Master remained.

"No...don't leave me...please..." He outstretched his hand, his voice cracking.

"Protect the light." Were the last words his Master spoke before he too vanished. The swirling light that belonged to his fallen friends began to draw near and seep into his skin as he began to take in the last of the strength they had to offer him.

"That power won't be enough to protect you, I'm afraid." The hooded figure spoke with unwavering confidence, unfazed by the turn of events as if they had played this out once before.

"We'll see about that!" The young man growled, his eyes burning with anger and hatred at the one who had struck down his friends, as he charged forward. A bright golden aura flared out from his body as he drew on all the power of his comrades to end the battle in a single blow. To him, it did not matter if he too faded into the light–or even into the darkness as all that mattered was bringing down the one who caused all this pain.

    The two clashed blades.

The light shining from the Master's apprentice faded, his power spent on the attack. He smirked, allowing himself to take some satisfaction that he had defeated–"H-how...!?" His keyblade dropped to the ground soon followed by his knees hitting the earth beneath him. "Damn...you..." As he fell to the floor, his vision fading to black, he could see the hooded figure walking away from the battlefield unscathed.

The hooded figure stopped, turning their head towards the fallen young man. The world was sinking into darkness and in seconds another star would be gone from the sky. "What? Did you think the power of friendship would be enough?" A portal of light opened and without another word the figure disappeared leaving everything that was left to fade away.

He had given his students until midday to prepare for their departure and as he watched the rising sun it appeared that the time had nearly come. A chilly breeze came as Choma leaned against the balcony rail to watch tiny flecks of snow fall onto the trees in the castle courtyard below. These students were so young and it pained him to know that their safety in these walls would not last long now but if had not believed they were capable he would have never allowed them to join on this mission. Choma shifted his gaze from the courtyard to the city that resided in the valley shielded by the mountains where his castle resided. The mountains were covered in evergreens but the higher peaks, like the one the castle was built into, were capped in snow. Thankfully, magic older than himself kept his students from freezing any time they ventured out of the castle.

Perhaps, when this was all over, things could change. The castle was too large to be shared by so few. There were more rooms than there were people living inside as was the case for every castle created for training keyblade wielders. Those who built these castles must have longed for a time when things were simpler.

Choma stepped away from the balcony and began to head towards the Great Hall to await his students.

"Hm..." The Master of Overcast Haven leaned back on the armrest of her chair, her legs hanging over the other armrest as she flicked through pages of a very large and very thick book that showed obvious signs of wearing down from age. These days she preferred to stay indoors rather than watch as yet another star vanished from the night sky. Worrying about what she could not change seemed like a pointless endeavor and at least if she learned something new it might help in what was to come.

Still... As she read the tome in her hands she was beginning to wonder if it held any answers whatsoever for what was happening. Unless Choma had a very different book than the one she held in her hands, it was unlikely that he had found any answers. It seemed the only Master who had some kind of idea was Thallasa and she had up and vanished. "Maybe..." Atmos shut her book and snapped her fingers causing it to vanish into thin air. "Maybe Eventide might not be the best place to start." Placing a finger on her chin as she mulled it over the woman turned her head to glance at the clock in the hall. She had told her students to be ready for whatever was to come and to expect to be unprepared as well. After all, one could not prepare for everything.

Atmos let out a soft sigh and closed her eyes. Maybe it would have done her some good to get some fresh air but she had grown tired of the cloudy days and chilly nights. It was always more cozy to just stay indoors by the fireplace and have a hot drink. So, for today, she took her opportunity to enjoy the warmth of the castle before the adventure they would embark on. "I'm just gonna lay here for a few more minutes..."

Mikaela sat under the tree, having lost track of time as she explored the surrounding area. She couldn’t help her curiosity—there were already too many holes in her memory, so she wanted to learn the land as soon as possible. So, ever since she’d awoken in Tellurion City, she liked to explore.

Mika laid her head against the tree trunk, wondering what the future has in store for her, wondering if she’d ever find out the secrets of her past. Suddenly, as Mika was lost in her thoughts, she heard the rustle of leaves and felt the sharp cold of snow fall onto her head.

The young woman cussed loudly and looked up to see what had caused the snow to fall on top of her. Looking above, Mika saw black fur and bright blue eyes.
“Nini!” the young Keyblade Wielder shouted. “How did you even—”

Mika was amazed (even though she was also pretty annoyed); she’d left the tiny cat back in her room at the castle—how could the cat had made it all the way there, much less into this tree? The cat mewed sharply, as if to laugh at the young women with snow mixed with her red hair.

Mika glared at the cat and hid a slight smirk.
“Get down from there!” Mika shouted, holding her arms out for the cat to jump into. The cat seemed to glare at her and Mika shot her a dirty look. “I will leave you here. Don’t test me, brat.”

She couldn’t believe she was arguing with a cat. How did this become her life? Of course, she didn’t know if her life before this was any less weird, but still! Ever since Mika’d found this silly cat, she’s been nothing but trouble. Hell, she was a bit tempted to leave the cat behind. But there was something about this cat that was different. Mika didn’t know how or why, but she just knew.

As Mika grabbed her bag and looked like she was going to walk away, the small cat started jumping down the tree branches until she reached the one closest to the ground. Mika opened her arms again for to catch Nini, only for the cat to turn away from the young woman and jump into the pile of snow that the cat had previously knocked from the leaves (and into Mika’s head).

Mika rolled her eyes at the cat’s actions and picked her up out of the snow pile, causing Nini to mew indignantly.
“C’mon, you little dork,” said the woman, brushing the snow out of the cat’s fur and walking away from the trees. “Let’s get back to the castle.”

It was almost time, almost time to leave Tellurion city after one a single month of being here, training. She was not ready to leave, the minimal training she had felt insignificant and the fear she harboured in her heart still remained, nearly as strong as when she first arrived. She had ventured out to follow in her brothers footsteps, tried to find him again, only to fail and be found by Choma. After Chrono left home to go train in the art of wielding the keyblade, Tinarah had decided to finally get over her fear and follow after him. He was so strong, so much ambition, meanwhile she could barely leave her bedroom, she was so scared. There was a fear that had always lived with after the attack. For the longest time she wouldn't leave her room unless she had to and would never leave her house alone. That had gone on for years, until her brother had left to go train, it wasn't until then that she finally got up and decided to go after him, a mistake in the end.

After leaving home, Tinarah had realized how much of a mistake it was. Not only had she ran away from home without telling anyone. She had only made it so far before her minimal supplies ran out and she found herself in a bad spot, and unable to do anything to help herself. Her fear had crippled her during that time and she had thought that she was going to die. It was the second time in her twelve years of life that she was cornered and she had legitimately thought it was the end for her. She would never be as strong as Chrono, never even come close. However she was not allowed to give up hope, as a man name Choma had come to her rescue and brought her back to his haven.

Not having much other choice, Tinarah followed Choma back and let her patch up some wounds. She couldn't explain why, but he made her feel safe, she felt like she could trust him, and so she stayed. To be honest Tinarah didn't know how to get home and she hadn't found her brother yet. It wasn't that she needed to be with him per-say, but she wanted to do something, she wanted to be strong still, even if that dream felt like it was slipping from her every day. Each day of this short journey it had seemed more and more hopeless. However Choma offered her training and safety, it was more than she could do for herself.

Leaving this city, leaving this haven it scared Tinarah more than ever. She didn't know what to expect beyond here and she was no where near as good as the other girls were, but who was she to argue with the man who had saved her when he told her that something needed done. In the hours leading up to the time to leave, Tinarah found herself sitting up on one of the highest points of the castle that she had access to, violin in hand. The one good thing about spending the majority of her time in hiding, was that she had ample time to learn how to play violin and perfect it. The music she played was soft and slow, almost sad sounding in some ways. The bow danced across the stings as Tinarah played the melody that she had memorized long ago. She played it was elegant ease and it calmed her slightly, though she was still a little panicked about what this day was to bring.

When the song came to the an end, she placed the violin back into it's case and gently closed it up, taking her only possession besides her keyblade that she had here, down to the grand hall with her. It was rare that she would travel far without her violin, and she didn't know when or if she would be returning, and thus refused to leave without it. Descending down the grand staircase, Tinarah entered the grand hall shortly after Choma had arrived. Both her hands gripped the violin case in front of her, both her hands trembling far more than she would have liked to show. Her heart was racing and it took a good two minutes before she could even begin to calm down enough to speak.
"Choma? I... um...I... I am ready." She managed to stammer, not sounding too confident in the words she spoke, but didn't wish to admit that she still wasn't sure about any of this. If she could she would stay here, with him in the safety of the castle while she trained. Instead she was leaving to the dangerous world beyond, she would become stronger, like she originally wanted, even if she wasn't so sure anymore.

    Tick

    Tick

    Tick

The repetitive ticking of the pocket watch served to help Chrono either think or calm any lingering nerves. In this instance it was more the latter that he was listening to his pocket watch for. Eversince he chosen to leave his home in order to train in using the keyblade, he had been doing this more often, mostly mostly due to how the decision had caused him to leave his younger sister behind in the care of their father. While he did have faith in his father to look after her, there was a strong since of apprehension ever since Tinarah had gotten attacked. That had served as part of his reasons for going off with Master Atmos to learn of to use the keyblade.

Now here he was at Overcast Haven, having little over a month of training and there was still some lingering doubts that he felt. Two more ticks of his watch rang though his ear before he decided to put it up and start walking. Chrono wasn't completely clear as to where it was that he was going so he just walked onward, maybe he would stop by Master Atmos to see what they would be doing next. Admittedly he did want to learn how to use some magic next. Seeing some of what the keyblade can do as a demonstration was more than enough reason for him to want to learn how to do so himself.

The cold burned her lungs as she ran through the snow. Her cheeks were rosy and her spirit was even brighter. This helped her feel alive, this made her feel stronger, and it made her feel-

    "
Tired, ow, burning," Aria panted as she slowed down to a walk. Her legs felt as if metal had fused with them, and her lungs were on fire. She stopped walking and stood there, placing her hands on her knees as she fought to regain her breath. "Holy smokes, that burns." She gasped and threw her head back, laughing breathlessly. "Still, that was kind of fun. Brink-of-death-rush, but still fun." She stood up once more and brushed out her skirt, taking a look around her. It had become colder since she came her, but it didn't bother her anyway. She could hang outside all day; thinking of a fun way to train, baking something new, or finding a really cool hiding place. She glanced up at the sky, noticing how high the sun was.

A palm suddenly slapped her forehead as Aria suddenly remembered one important task she had to do today. "
Oh no, that meeting is today!" She took off, fighting through the pain that throbbed her legs, chest, and sides. She couldn't be late for the most important meeting since she got here. She was approaching the wall when she noticed a girl with a cat walking back to the castle. She smiled and waved to them as she ran past. "Hi Mikaela! Hi Nini!" She didn't know them so well, save for that Mikaela had a cat and didn't remember much of her former life before arriving here.

She pushed on, running through the castle gates and through the snow dusted courtyard. Down some hallways she turned, and then she burst into the Great Hall. She stopped where she was, heaving and bent over to regain her energy. She took in a couple of deep breaths and looked up, seeing Choma and Tinarah already there. "
H-hi," she breathed out as perspiration appeared on her forehead. "I didn't run here, nope, just... dodge rolled fast. Yeah... Ow."

What do you mean, go unprepared?

Take was pacing back and forth in the hall, Master Atmos had said to meet there soon, and to expect to be unprepared. Which he didn't understand even the slightest bit. And he clearly was overthinking it. He kept stumbling mentally the more he thought about it even from a philosophical perspective. But orders were orders, and he was going to try and follow them, but he didn't know how exactly he could go unprepared without going completely unprepared at all.

Isn't the phrase usually, "Expect the unexpected"? Or prepare for the best and expect the worst? You should always be prepared, prepared for anything. Otherwise you aren't prepared.

He knew he was overthinking it, and Take tried his best to just stop questioning. Even if it was encouraged highly by his master, it only happened in instances such as these, where something felt super conflicting with the instructions given. Take leaned into a nearby wall, soaking everything in as he waited. It wasn't like he had anything better to do, usually he was just hardcore on the training, and since they were presumably going on a mission he didn't have that. He tried to calm himself down though, his pacing was not keeping him calm and collected and it went completely against everything he was raised on. But perhaps just some quick meditation without pondering on those thoughts would do him some good.

Mika was walking back towards the castle with Nini squirming in her arms when she heard Aria’s greeting. But before Mika could say a word to her, the girl had taken off. Wanting to follow her, Nini jumped out of Mika’s arms and chased after her.

“Nini!” Mika cried in exasperation. Mika was so done with this damn cat. She’d rather deal with training for the next million years than continue to put up with this cat at this point. She’d rather fight a million Heartless. Okay, maybe not a million—Mika knew that she couldn’t handle that many without dying, but still—Nini was getting on her nerves. Luckily, Aria seemed to be heading towards the same direction as the castle though.

Mika ran towards the castle, chasing after Nini (and by extension Aria). After running through the castle gates, she headed towards Great Hall. Breathing heavily, she opened the large, ornate doors to find Nini curled against Aria’s leg. Mika scowled at the cat and said,
“You are a brat, little cat.”

Mika was exhausted at this point, but she knew she was needed for the meeting. Although she'd much rather sleep (or at least sit down), Mika gathered her bearings and turned to her master and the young girl at his side.
“Sorry I’m late,” she said simply. “I blame the cat.”

Nini meowed in agreement before nudging herself against Aria’s leg. Mika gave the cat a low growl, which was ignored. Mika rolled her eyes and looked sympathetically at Aria.

“Sorry she’s a brat,” Mika said, smiling sheepishly at Aria. "I really wish I knew what was into her. But alas, she's just a little shit."

    "Vivamus quamdiu lumine gloriae scriptor"
That was the last thing he said to her. The very last thing before he disappeared from everyone's lives.

    "
Vivamus quamdiu lumine gloriae scriptor......Dum vivet......Dum vivet frater meus, ubicumque es..." The girl held the umbrella on her shoulder as she continued walking. Feeling the wind blow ever so slightly, she looked up and saw the clouds before laying her eyes on a Sea-Salt ice cream stand. She walked over and placed her order of Sea-Salt ice cream.

As she continued to walk, as she had a meeting with Master Atmos and other students that might be there. For moment, her mind was clear as water, no thought or action going through her head. That was until her thoughts traveled to a particular subject, "
Quam diu?....Quam diu est qoud fui nunc?" How long? How long has it been now? How long has it been since her brother disappeared. Two years? Two years since that infamous day had occurred. The girl and her brother were apart by a year, with the girl being the first-born. The two of them were practically inseparable. Her brother took the Knight's path while the girl took the path of the Mage but never neglecting her hand-to-hand combat. The one thing they practiced together was their acrobatics. Their mother would help them practice and teach them how to incorporate it into their individual ways of fighting. Years and years went by as they continued their lives in Solara Lua.

The night of the Prince and Princess' 18th birthday ball, the girl and her family were invited as VIPs along with the royal family. The girl's brother had been in a relationship with the Princess for over two years at that point. He had mentioned to his sister that he had planned on proposing that night. Before he and the Princess went off, he had spoke to his sister before leaving the room. Little did she know that that would be the last time she would see him again. After that day, she moved to the neighboring world that was in Solara Lua's jurisdiction, Stella Nihil.

    "Koa
....ego vere vis etiam hic es..." The girl covered a bit of her face with her umbrella for a moment for her missing little brother before continuing her walk.

She came up upon an open window just a smidge out of her reach. The girl crouched down before leaping up and into the room the window originates from. Scaring the woman that had been sitting on her chair. "
Salve......Quis es?" The woman kept looking at her as if she couldn't understand the girl eating her ice cream. Before clearing her throat, the girl messed with her umbrella a bit, waving over the little charm that matches her brother which he gave her for her birthday. Clearing her throat, "Pardon me, my primary language is Latin so pardon my native tongue. Do you have a name Miss 'Let's leave my window open and hope no one intrudes'?" The girl continued eating her ice cream before speaking once more. "Illiana.........Illiana Salavic. That's my name, madam" She hopped off the window ledge, still holder her umbrella and ice cream as she turned to the woman who was still sitting on her chair once more.

"You're ready?" Choma repeated after Tinarah eyeing the young girl with curiosity. The child hardly seemed old enough to be embarking on such a dangerous mission but was not as if wielders of her age had not existed before. He had been a young man by the time he could summon his keyblade but had once crossed paths with a Master taking a young lad who had drawn on the power of the keyblade at an age even younger than Tinarah. He recalled that even Atmos had once trained a child around this girl's age. Still, seeing her here so young and innocent made him wish he could just have her stay behind. But that would be unwise, especially given the powerful light she held. He was not going to remain at the castle and she would have been alone. At least this way she would have her fellow students and friends to look after her should she ever falter.

Before he could offer Tinarah any words of comfort the sounds of hurried footsteps came echoing into the Great Hall causing him to turn his head in the direction of the two girls who arrived just now. Aria and Mikaela.

"Good to see you girls. It will be some time before you see this castle again so I hope all of you are well rested. Normally a mission like this would require all of you to have several more years of training but, given the circumstances, there is no time for that. All of you will have to become masters of improvisation and keep each other close. The dangers ahead will be very real but together I have confidence that you will overcome the trials ahead." Choma spoke sternly, showing no signs of doubt or hesitation in his voice. He truly did believe in these youths. They may have lacked experience but even now he could feel the strength of their hearts.

"I know that I have not given you enough information on the journey you all will be partaking...and truth be told, there is much that is still unknown to me, but I will be as open as I can be to what this is about."

Atmos opened her eyes upon the sound of rustling just outside her window. She turned her head lazily to watch as a girl spoke in a language she did not understand. Atmos perked her brow and tilted her head quizzically though she did not get up from her chair to do anything about the harmless intrusion. Finally when the girl did speak in a language she understood, an accent present in her speech, the name this girl had given her matched the newest student who had arrived earlier. They had never formally met until now. "It is good to finally meet you, Illiana. Do come in, please. I am Atmos, Master of this castle. And the window is open because I like the breeze. Despite their size, castles can be quite stuffy if one does not open a window."

The woman finally stood up from her chair and moved towards her bookcase, staring at it for a moment before shaking her head. There was nothing of interest here anymore. Atmos glanced over at Illiana and focused on the ice cream she held. Perhaps it was not her favorite color but ice cream was ice cream and watching someone else have some made her want some. Maybe when this was all over they could all get ice cream as a reward. That seemed like a tastier treat than the self-gratification of saving the worlds. "I hope you brought some for the whole class, Illiana." She motioned for the girl to follow after her with her hand. "Come. I'm sure Take will have a fit if we do not show up on time."

Without further ado, Atmos led the way for Illiana towards the Great Hall and on the way she would make a passing glance at the girl to glean whatever information she could from her. Illiana seemed capable with a great potential for growth just as Chrono and Take did. Unfortunately, that would not be enough...but she had seen what kind of power friendship could bring from people so this brought her a great deal confidence in her students. They may not be close now but adversity could do wondrous things to strengthen bonds and resolve. "I hope this quest brings you the answers you seek. Or, perhaps show you that what you seek is not what you want." She offered a small smile to Illiana before they entered the Great Hall.

"I'm sure you are all partially aware of why I gathered you all here today. So allow me to explain further what we are up to here..."

"The skies have been growing dark. One of the first lessons taught to us wielders is that every star in the night sky is a world of its own. I do not know where these worlds are disappearing to but we are heading to Eventide Town to meet up with another Master. Despite the fact that our rules forbid this, given that every other Master has gone silent we have no choice but to work together with another group. In one of her messages before Master Thallasa vanished she briefly brought up a person known as the Light Chaser and that this person would know what was happening to these worlds. She went out in search for the Light Chaser but disappeared on her journey. We have reason to believe the Light Chaser may be at Eventide. However, I have been sensing darkness coming from that world so we must be ready to fight if the need arises."

The way that Choma questioned her, the way he looked her up and down, immediately made Tinarah take a stop back. She knew that there was no ill intent behind it, but it still made her squirm slightly. She was already nervous enough to leave, she didn't need anyone else seeming worried about it too, it only made her fears worse. "Y-yes. I'm ready." She tired to confirm again, sounding no more confident than the first time she said it. Her grip in her violin case tightened as she could feel the sleeves of her dress raise a little. Without even looking she knew it was enough to reveal the relatively fresh scars that marred her wrists. Scars from the attack that Choma had saved her from. She hated the sight of them, that was why she had opted to wear long sleeves most of the time, but still, that didn't always do the job. Her hands were trembling enough however she didn't realize how tightly she was gripping her case, tight enough that she couldn't be bothered to let go enough to pull her sleeves back down.

Before anything else could be said between the two, a rather loud girl entered the room. Tinarah knew her to some extent. She had been around long enough to know the other students, but unless forced to socialize, Tinarah tended to keep to herself. It wasn't that she thought the others were bad people or anything, Tinarah just felt safer within the confines of her room when she didn't have to be away from it, meaning most of her time was spent there and not getting to know the other students.

Shortly after Aria entered, Mika did to, of course cat in tow. It seemed much like herself with her violin, Mika found comfort in taking her cat everywhere with her. She also apologized for being late, but Tinarah was pretty sure she had simply arrived early. Both the girls had entered from the other side of the room, an external exit from wherever they had been, meanwhile Tinarah stood away from them, near the entrance that lead from some of the living quarters. She made no effort to close the distance between them, instead only moving slightly out of the way of the doorway that she still remained in and watched from a bit of a distance. She had some issues with people getting too close to her still, so she chose to not be right beside people if she could help it. She remained close enough however to hear what everyone was saying, even if she separated herself from them.

Years, years of training for this sort of mission, and after less than a month she was expected to go on it? How could she? His advice was to stay close to each other, but she had never really been close with anyone, well except her brother whom she was doing this for. Chrono... Chrono was strong. Chrono would do this, so she would too. She had to do this. She couldn't go back home now. Her father would be so mad and she wouldn't have proven anything to herself or her brother. She had to at least try, she had come too far to turn around now. Beside other people might be getting hurt, like she had, this could be her chance to help them like Choma helped her, like Chrono had helped her.

She listened to the rest of what Choma had to say, but the one thing that caught her attention was the fact that they were to work with another master and their students. Perhaps if they were going to meet another master and students, she would see her brother again. There were mixed feelings on this sentiment though. As much as Tinarah wanted to meet up with her brother, wanted to see him again and how him what she was learning. She also knew that he wouldn't be happy that she tried to follow him. Perhaps he wouldn't even be there. Before she could get her hopes up too much she finally spoke up again, however quietly.
"Excuse me, Master Choma? Do you know who the other Masters students are?" She asked somewhat shy to speak up at all.

The girl looked down at the black cat that was rubbing against her legs and giggled. "Don't be sorry, I like cats." She gently scratched Nini behind her ears and then stroked the sleek fur from head to tail a few times. "Mind your owner," Aria quietly chided the cat with a smile.

She then stood up when Master Choma began to speak. She tried to pay attention the best she could, but felt her mind wandering as he talked. She could tell it was serious manners, but Aria was about fun and rainbows. Then again, this could impact the safety of her teammates.

She phased back into reality, picking up on the most important pieces of the monologue. "Masters of improve? Sweet, I'm down for that!" Aria grinned, placing her hands behind her head and tilted slightly to the right. She then looked over at the younger one when she asked if Master Choma knew the other students as well. "I bet we'd know them if we see them," she said with a wink. She let her arms fall (off, jk) back down and placed her hand on her shoulder, rolling it back a few times. "Hey, what if this Light Chaser guy is the one making the darkness happen?"

Nini purred as the pretty pink haired girl pet her. Mika chuckled at this and smiled again at the girl. "Huh, maybe she'll listen to you since she seems to like you," Aria seemed like a pretty nice person and for a moment, Mika wished that she'd put more effort into being friends with the other students. Ever since she's awoken here, she'd had a bad habit for avoiding people and preferred to just explore the city.

Before she could get lost in her thoughts again and antagonize herself about not being friendly enough (she really needed to stop doing that, yo), her Master began to speak and Mika knew she needed to focus. Damn, why was it always hard for her to pay attention? Shaking her head slightly, she tried and failed to be inconspicuous about it. Smiling sheepishly, she rubbed her on the back of her head and continued to try to pay attention.

But as her Master continued to speak, the name Thallasa seemed to spark something in Mika's mind. A weird feeling came over the young amnesiac and she couldn't place it, but she knew that that name was familiar. Times like this, it really freaking bothered her that her memory was gone. Feeling Mika's annoyance at herself (and her ****** memory), Nini moved from next to Aria and cuddled against Mika's leg. The young woman smiled and reached down to pick up her cat. Holding the small cat close to her, she felt a bit about the situation-- she understood how little Tinarah must feel about the violin the young girl kept at her side. Mika wondered the significance behind it.

But as much as her memory bothered her, Mika knew she needed to focus on protecting her fellow students. She might have a hard time getting close to people, but she did like her team. She wanted to keep them and her Master, safe. So for now, Mika was going to focus on getting stronger and keeping people safe. She didn't like the sound of the Light Chaser person and if her feeling was right, this person would be bad news--really bad news. Her memory was an issue--of course it was. But there was nothing Mika could do about it right now and she needed to realize that. Until something magically changed about that, she wanted to learn as much as she could about the upcoming battle ahead.

As she listened to her teammates questions, she knew she should probably should ask a question of her own.
"Hey Master?" the young woman questioned, tilting her head slightly. "When are we going to be leaving to meet up with the other Master? Do we have any more time to train?"

His mind stayed on the topic of magic for a little bit, mainly what kind of spells that he would like to learn. As per his name, some time magic would be cool to learn, but then there was also space magic and of course there was the various different elements and combinations that he could make by learning any of the above mentioned magic. A lot of different combinations were considered and each one was met with a different mental reaction from Chrono. Time and Ice - cool, Fire and Ice - a bit overdone but still neat, and so on and so forth.

These thoughts came to an end shortly after Chrono had ended the castle where he decided that it would probably be better to save these ideas for when eh actually started to learn magic. Silence briefly occupied the space that was his thoughts before a faint sound of a violin emerged to replace it. There was no need to look around for the source because he already knew what it was. The particular song was one that he's heard Tinarah play quite often before he left home and it had gotten stuck in his head. Not that he minded it, his little sister was skilled at the violin after all.

Now stepping foot in the Great Hall, Chrono was a bit surprised to see Master Atmos there as well as Take and Illiana were already there. Huh, was he the last person to arrive? Oops. Least he was here now. When Master Atmos had started speaking, Chrono listened to what she was telling them and by the end of it had a couple of questions of his own to ask. Most of those questions wouldn't be asked at this given moment encase something else arose that answered them or someone else had asked in his stead.

"Who's the other master that we're meeting up with?"

Illiana's eyes widen as the woman introduced herself to the brunette. Her eyes returned to their normal size after a mere moment. The woman had revealed herself to be Master Atmos. Atmos had asked if Illiana had brought enough ice cream for the rest of the students. She took a moment to stop eating her ice cream to answer Master Atmos. "Many pardons Master Atmos but I only have enough for myself." Illiana continued to munch on her ice cream as she watched Master Atmos start walking out of the room. She had mentioned to Illiana not to be tardy for the meeting that was about to take place in the central hall of the castle. "I'm fairly sure. They won't be too upset if we're a mere minute or two tardy for this meeting. I'm certain no one is that obsessed with punctuality Master Atmos." Illiana continued to eat her ice cream as she placed her umbrella on her shoulder as she walked out of the room along with Master Atmos.

Arriving in the central hall, Illiana joined the other students as Master Atmos spoke. Listening intently, the brunette finished her ice cream and lowered her umbrella just a bit before returning it back to where it was. Breaking the silence, she looked over to a white haired boy asking about this other Master that they were supposedly meeting with. "
Let us be patience and await for this other Master. It's better to leave things shrouded in mystery sometimes, Mr. Time." Illiana spoke to the white haired boy whose name was Chrono. She lifted her umbrella once more as her charm dangled side-to-side.

The young teen rustled beneath the heavy spread of bedding. Wrestling against the sensation of sinking into a mattress that wasn’t quite firm enough, he shed the sheltering cocoon of fabric one layer at a time until only his head poked out at the open end. With some effort, in part due to a persisting feeling of fatigue, and the other part owed to the apparent weight of his sheets and comforters, he turned himself from his stomach onto his back, and stared up at the vaulted ceiling of his room, where he remained in stillness for some time before finally stirring again.

When he did, it was a sudden movement, voluntary, but ill-informed in the making: a quickly rise, finding his strength against the heft of the covers, sitting upright with the bedding hanging down over his shoulders.

He regretted this move as soon as he made it; no sooner than he had set his spine upright, did the sharp, gripping pain take hold of his head. He reacted just has quickly, smacking his hand across his forehead and holding on for dear life, as that the pressure he placed on the outside could quell the sudden discomfort within. Yet, almost as quickly as it had set upon him, the pain subsided, then leaving the young man dizzy for a short count.

Only when certain of his ability to move without repercussion did the boy rise from the bed completely, setting a pair of bare feet upon a surprisingly warm stone floor. Slowly, and steadily, he made his way across to a nearby dresser, upon which he found a set of black and silver-gray clothes and boots that he remembered were his laying clean and neatly folded. Thinking nothing of the fact someone had unclothed him, he redressed himself back into his own, rejuvenated attire, and exited the room into the corridor outside.

As much as he would have loved to have stayed tucked securely under the sheets and blankets, where warmth and comfort seemed a promise rather than a hope, he had fast resigned to the fact that laying around in bed wouldn’t bring him the answers he thought.

As he had dressed himself, the only things that passed through his mind were: What had just happened, and how long he had been passed out. He vaguely remembered a conversation with a denizen of this castle, one that he had had when he had first arrived, somewhat worse for the wear not more than a week earlier. “It’s not uncommon for people who have been through trauma to come out of it with their memory damaged.” That’s what she had said. And indeed, his memories felt jumbled and blurred, especially what had happened immediately preceding his arrival at the castle. He wondered just what he had said… hopefully not too much; it was dangerous, these days, to say to much to people.

As if by some form of instinct, the young boy found himself wandering into the Great Hall of the castle, where several people stood, engaged in conversation. One, he could just recognize, was the very woman that had spoken to him before. He looked across the room, roughly in the direction of the platinum blonde woman, though laboring at evading direct eye contact. “Ma’am?” he said.

Take listened intently to everything that was said, and listened to the questions asked by those around him. He too was curious about the other master so he didn't feel the need to ask that twice. However, what really peaked his curiosity is what could be happening to the other worlds if stars were disappearing. Certainly, that meant, if the worlds were disappearing then the people on them were disappearing too. That might explain where Thalassa disappeared, but it still left him worried. Then another question came to Takehiko's mind and he spoke up, "Master, what is the status of our homeworlds? Do you know if they've disappeared too or are they okay?"

It wasn't that Take was going to run off home if he knew it was still fine to protect it, but he was worried heavily about his people and he just had a hunger to know. Out of everything, it was the only question besides the other master on his mind. He trusted Atmos wouldn't lead him astray after all the training, and he didn't really feel the need to question anything else.

"We will be meeting the students of Master Atmos. Since I have never visited her castle I don't know who those students are but if they are anything like all of you, I know they will be good allies to have." Choma began to walk towards his students to head towards the Great Hall's exit before stopping just after passing his students. "Unfortunately, there won't be any time to do any formal training. Everything you learn from now on will be due to field experience." Though he felt that there was one last lesson he could impart on his students just before the mission truly began. A "gift" of sorts to enable them to better defend themselves.

Choma summoned his keyblade and paused upon thinking of a response to Aria's question. "This Light Chaser might not even be real. To be honest, I'm not completely sure if it's a person at all. But if it exists, it will hold the answer as to what has been happening with the worlds. The longer we wait to act, the more likely another world will disappear from the sky." A brilliant ray of light burst forth from the tip of his keyblade, creating a large portal of light. It was a technique his students had yet to learn but one they would master in time. "This will lead to Eventide Town, where we are meeting Master Atmos and her students." Choma motioned for the portal of light that opened up to another world. This would be his students' first real test of their skill and their mettle.

"Given that Master Thallasa had visited Eventide, I would suggest that all of you steel yourselves for battle should Heartless be present." Choma kept his blade in his hand as he walked forth into the portal and vanished from sight.

Atmos showed a faint smile on seeing Illiana's calm demeanor. If only she knew Take's attitude. The boy seemed to be expecting a different kind of master to learn from and yet because of that he had become a promising student in his own right. Adversity often makes one stronger after all and Take had not been through so much that it had left him broken. She looked at her students, gathered around the Hall and summoned her keyblade before taking a moment to answer Take's question. They all had a right to be concerned about their homes. She too had been concerned for the well-being of her own homeworld. It had been so long since she had seen it that she had almost forgotten where to look yet it still remained. The same, however, could not be said for Choma's homeworld. That had vanished decades earlier according to him. "From what I have seen, none of our homeworlds have vanished from the sky."

Atmos then held out her keyblade in front of her. A beam of light came from her blade opening up a portal of light that they would all be traveling through. "We will be arriving in Eventide Town alongside Master Choma. The man is a little on the stern side so don't try to make too many jokes around him." She mused, flicking her wrist lazily to dismiss her keyblade. In fact, now that she thought about it... Atmos glanced over at Take and smirked. "You know, you would have a lot in common with Choma. Both of you take everything just a little bit too seriously." Atmos shrugged before walking towards the portal, looking over her shoulder to motion for her students to follow after her. "Don't worry, from what I hear Eventide Town is a rather mellow world." And with that, she vanished into the portal.

The sun was setting on the quiet town, the streets emptying as businesses closed up shop and families returned to their homes. In an alleyway between two neighboring shops two portals of light opened up facing each other. From one, Master Atmos stepped out soon to be followed by her students and from the other, on the opposite side of the short alley, came Master Choma and his own students. The faintest scent of baked bread could still be found in the air even at this hour...

Illiana watched as Master Atmos opened up a portal to a town by the name of Eventide Town. The master had mentioned that in this town they were going to be meeting up with the other Master and his students. Master Atmos had informed the students that their homeworlds were still intact and had not vanished from the sky. Illiana turned away slightly along with her umbrella, a faint smile appeared on her lips. 'I'm glad everyone's still safe.' Lost in her thoughts, Master Atmos had a small conversation with Take before reassuring everyone about this 'Eventide Town'. Illiana turned around once more as Master Atmos walked through the portal. Moving a strand of her hair away from her face, she walked toward the portal. "Well let's not dilly dally and make the others wait. I'll be off then. Mr. Time, Tacky, and Newcomer. Vale!" She waved to each student that was in the central hall before departing to Eventide Town.

Crossing through the portal, Illiana glanced around her new surroundings. She nodded her head in approval. "
Hmm...bellus.." Illiana walked up to Master Atmos, following her to the agreed meeting place. A scent nearby had caught her attention. "
Numquid et panem olfacies me?" Illiana followed the scent and entered a bakery that was conveniently close. After a few short minutes, she returned to Master Atmos with bread in her hand. "You can never go wrong with a fresh loaf of bread!" Illiana smiled a bit before taking a bite of bread.

Well she supposed that she shouldn't have expected Choma to have all the answers. Still she had hoped that he would have been able to tell her if her brother would be there. Tinarah knew that Chrono had run off to train with a keyblade, who he was going to train with however remained a mystery. There was a slight glimmer of hope that he had found his way to this other keyblade master that Master Choma spoke of, but she didn't let herself face that hope too much. She already thought that she could leave home and be find to find him, and she barely made it more than a few places before she was attacked again. Chrono was much stronger than she was, he was a lot braver too, there was no doubt that he was alive. What Tinarah doubted was his ability to meet up with a keyblade master, and not only that, but the specific keyblade master that they were meeting with. She was sure there had to be some minor teachers of such arts. The more that she thought about it, the more she started to wonder what made her believe that she would have been able to find him in the first place.

There was a clear look of nervousness as Tinarah took a step back, her grip readjusting on the violin case as Choma admitted that he didn't actually know for sure what they were up against. It was one thing for him to know and have confidence that they could do it. It was another to have blind confidence that she could possibly do something like this. It wasn't like he was asking them to go do a medial task. They were being asked to help stop a threat, protect people. How could she protect people when she couldn't even protect herself? What was out there, what was the true threat that they were expected to face? It was all seeming to become too much, the more that Choma spoke. Part of Tinarah tugged at her to turn around and run back to the room that Choma provided her with.

When Choma stepped forward, Tinarah couldn't help but watch with interest before planning to run back to her room. The blue swirling portal of light looked interesting, she actually found it rather pretty. Tinarah watched as Choma gave one last instruction and stepped through. All the sudden a new sort of dread filled her. If she ran back to her room right now, she would be completely alone. There would be no one else in the castle. No one to train her, no one to protect her. She might have been safe inside her room, but how long before the silence drove her to madness?

Despite the warning there was no keyblade in Tinarah's hand as she slowly approached the portal. Her fingers trembled as she lifted her hand to the portal. It hovered before the swirling portal before shakily placing her hand on the portal, no through the portal. Nothing bad seemed to happen to her hand, so she took a glance back at the other girls, clearly a little nervous about it before she found herself fully stepping through the portal and into the new world, behind Choma.

Tinarah's eyes shifted to the ground as soon as she got to the other side, feeling paranoid and shy. When she went through the portal, she didn't think about the fact that other people were going to be on the other side. Instead of her earlier thought, wondering if her brother could possibly be there, Tinarah got too nervous and didn't look. She moved close to Choma, biting her lip and she watched the ground, her feet kicking at some pebbles. Her fingers flicked at a latch that was not actually done up due to the fact it was just an extra one for attaching things to the outside of the case. Looking up only slightly she could see the feet of a woman standing not too far from them. Knowing others were there instinctively Tinarah reached up and pulled her sleeves down, taking the time to tug each as far down as they would go, meanwhile letting Choma take the lead when it came to the talking.

Take's question had brought up a small concern that he hadn't considered. If other worlds were disappearing without any forewarning, what was to say that their own homeworlds wouldn't suffer the same fate. Thus hearing that wasn't the case brought out a sigh of relief right as someone else had entered the room. So he wasn't the last person to get here, well that was good to know in a sense. He stood among them and spoke directly to Master Atmos.

Mr..Time? It took Chrono a few realize that Illiana was referring to him with that name. He could figured why it was that he was being referred to that name, after all his name was Chrono. Still he never thought that someone would outright call him that. It was a little off putting, but it wasn't like it was the worse thing that she could've call him...not that he knew what the worst thing was himself anyway.

Without further adieu, Chrono strode through the portal that Master Atmos had made for them and found himself in Eventide Town. Much like their master had said, it looked like it was a pretty mellow place. There was nothing overly fancy or that stuck out here. It was pretty average for a meeting place, which probably was a good thing. Besides, there was bread in the air and nothing could go wrong when there was bread in the air.
"Are we free to look around?" He asked, already taking a couple of steps forward himself. Doing so he noticed someone else at the other end of the alleyway, a fairly stern looking man. He also saw that someone was hiding behind the stern looking male, but couldn't get a good look at them.
