    Claire glanced up at the sound of footsteps entering the room. That's the guy... the guy from... Angel brought him... this morning... Her thoughts were incoherent. Blood streaked her forehead, impairing her sight. The beasts stepped in front of her.

    He winced, he still had his thoughts attached to her and felt the pain of when the beast grabbed Claire's arm. He withdrew his mind back into himself and swung his sword at the closest beast, sending it flying back with the force of the attack. One down...about ten to go.
