Why do women like gay men

gay =/= feminine

Because usually gay men are more groomed, and often times have a keener sense of style and taste. They also have spectacular beach bodies sometimes. Let's not forget that also they might probably listen to women and understand them a bit better.

There are several catergories of gay man you can talk about, all with their own level of like/dislike from generalised female population.

Note: The following is just a joke, I don't believe in most of it.

First off the one gay nearly no woman likes is the 'B!tchy' gay. This homosexual is a man who constantly winges about something, usually innane and unimportant, like fashion or other people they don't like.
Next is the Mainstream gay, one generally accepted by women. This man is your typical excitable teenage girl in a man's body who cares about theatre troupes, dancing and fashion.
Last is my favourite, the Butch Gay. This is the man you never expect to be gay, looks handsome, or at least normal to some point, and unless you asked him you wouldn't be able to tell he's gay. He likes sport, and regular 'guy' things. He's my favourite because this is the guy women go 'Oh, I like the look of him, I bet he's gay.' Classic.

I disagree with that. I've heard that, compared to having a gay and straight friend, around 60% of the time women would choose to sleep with the gay man over the other.
No matter if your gay or straight, you've got a chance with a woman.

Well, I don't find gay men at all threatening and it's just nice to have a friendship with a guy that won't get complicated. Sometimes girls are just damn right annoying so you need a contrast and some way of getting away. Maybe it's also because friendships between men and women end up with complications and then broken hearts.

Just my theory. However, why do men like lesbians..? >:D

 

This is just an idea but I think it might be for the same reasons gay men like women.

 

Where are you pulling these statistics from?

 

One of those gossip magazines I had the unfortunate delight of reading last summer, it was just lying there whilst I was waiting for some one and it had stuff like that in it, you know 'facts' you wouldn't know stuff.

I don't rely on it at all, but it is an interesting thought. Women might feel closer to a gay man because they aren't seen as a sexual partner so women will likely open up more to a gay man, physically even. He only needs to respond in kind and it happens. Not saying its all that common but I don't believe women should feel safer around a guy just cause he says he's gay.

Not only is that fickle, it's a thick idea to believe a guy for his words. Even I can fake Mainstream Gay enough to fool people, doesn't mean I wouldn't sleep with a woman.

 

Because Gay men are able to open up to most women without being judged on several things that would make many straight men uncomfortable.

Thus woman are able to express themselves to gay men and thus the cycle continues.

by pretty you must mean gay men like to wear make up and dress like girls and act like girls.

I'm guessing yaoi, but yaoi is far from realistic.

 

I think probably their fun to be with and since they act more like a girl, they understand eachother.
