You should add the languages to your post.

    I contest this.

Je parle anglais et francais. J'adore les langues du monde, moi. Je crois que la langue francaise, islandaise, finnoise, et danoise sont mes preferes. Mais je les tous adore. :)

I only speak English fluently, but I'm a also a French student.

    Come back to me please.

I believe I already posted here, but I only speak English fluently. I knew a lot of Spanish, but I'm slowly losing the ability to do so.

I speak English fluently as it was my first language, and Spanish is a close second having studied it for almost 10 years (and earned a BA in it as well).

Now, due to me relocating to the land of rice, I've been attempting to learn Mandarin. It's easy and hard at the same time. But quite often I find myself mixing both Spanish and Mandarin together because I won't know what word I need in Chinese but I know the Spanish word for it. That has gotten some..confused looks.

Now that I think about it, there was a time when I was interested in Minoring in Linguistics. If anyone here is a Linguistics Major/Minor, any advice in the field would be cool. c:

But anyway, after taking many Latin classes, I can understand some level of French, Spanish, and the like, because certain words and grammar are kind of similar. I've been meaning to take more Latin as I got into college, but eh, ain't nobody got time for that. Besides, it's use is really not for speaking it in conversation than it is to translate 2,000 lines of poetry per semester. :x

I've also been teaching myself Japanese (*surprise surprise*) since I was in 7th grade, so I suppose I can speak it fluently... writing in Japanese is a whole different matter, however. I have a penpal in Japan that speaks the Kansai dialect, so I can speak and understand it decently.

I also been trying to take Chinese classes, but again with the whole college thing, there never seems to be a convenient time for me to go to lectures. :| I know very miniscule phrases in Cantonese, since my Grandma used to speak it, but that's really all.

(Hope this doesn't count as a necrobump!)
I have grown up as a bilingual individual, priding myself on speaking Portuguese in a fairly fluent manner as well as my first language English. At school, I also managed to pick up on becoming a little more fluent in Spanish, I also had potential with the french language, but with lousy teaching comes less interest

Asides from both Portuguese and Spanish... I have been sort of self teaching myself Japanese, though I can understand more through listening than speaking. This is due to the fact of trying to also learn whilst watching anime shows (back when I was big on that kind of stuff) Some of the words stook, and some didn't.

Currently I am trying to learn Italian by myself, but with little to no avail at the moment. Hopefully something will stick soon >o<

I can pretty much speak English even though I'm half Japanese and all. I can't speak Japanese--which is probably embarrassing if I have to go to Japan. XD
