Emmy didn't answer for a few seconds. She was still leaning against the big wooden door, but no longer concentrating on keeping a look out. "I don't know," she finally said. "I guess I haven't really had the time to stop and think about it yet..." What was she supposed to believe, anyway? They had all been created by science, but did that eliminate her spirituality?

"Whatever saves my ass," she concluded aloud, with a hint of melancholy.

BIC: Angel laughed, then shook her head. "I like that. Alright, you can stay here as long as you want. Two rules. If you try to kill me at any given moment, I will chop off the parts of your womanlyness. And two, if you touch my whip, I'll use it to beat your ass into shape." She smiled charmingly, then jumped and touched the wall, pushing away from it to turn and push against the wall a few feet from it. Using this form, she scaled up to the rafters, where she leaped down. Time to take care of the guy.

 

"Oh, okay." Melanie wished she could be at that place right now. It was once like that in Pulse when she was very young, but now it was like a distant dream. Melanie grabbed Alice's arm when she tried getting up. "No way! Did you see all those guards that chased us? They might be investigating the area with even more of them. YOU have to wait. I'm not going back there."

 

OOC: It was my bad for rambling. xD

BIC: "Easy," Emmy chuckled. "We don't even know if he's there or not." She opened the door just a crack so she could look out. To her surprise, she could see five guards at the end of the street. They looked like they were there with purpose.
She cursed. "Spoke too soon..."
Emmy slowly closed the door again without a sound and turned to Angel. "My powers haven't surfaced yet." She paused and took a deep breath. "Think we can take 'em?"

BIC: Angel smiled, her eyes opening slightly. "Two girls agaisnt five guys. Hell yes." She gripped her whip, twirling it experimentally, the chain scraping the ground like a snake. "Let's go. Unless you have some prayers or something."

 

Emmy took out her knives. "Don't bet on it," she said with a smile. She pulled the door open, not knowing what to expect from the guards. They didn't even seem to notice that the door was open. She looked back at Angel. "... you first."

 

"How long do we have to stay here?", she asked, being very impatient, falling over again, probably just answering her own question. She looked up at the sky, trying to find the big ball of light, but it had moved. She located it a bit lower in the sky, it still hurt her eyes, but she was curious as to why it moved, what was going to happen when it leaves?​

 

"You? I dunno. If you really need to be somewhere then I guess you could go back to the main streets during the night. I'm a servant at the palace, but if I go back I'll probably get tortured or killed. Either for not doing my job or because I ran off with you." Melanie said, as if it wasn't serious at all. She glanced up at the sky to see what the girl was looking at. The Sun? That would damage her eyes if she kept staring. Melanie stood and walked in front of the girl, blocking her view. "And I just realized something."

 

Angel rolled her eyes. "So much for the home of brave." Strolling out, her whip flashing in the sunlight, she flicked it gently, hitting one guard on the face. He fell to the ground, writhing, as she smiled, opening her eyes wide and catching another. Too late she realized she had just put her own life in the other girl's hand. She couldn't break the trance.

"No, I don't know need to be anywhere, I just think we're lost is all", she replied, having her light blocked by the girl when she walked in front of her. There we're spots in her veiw, she kept blinking, but they wouldn't go away. She kept her eyes closed for a moment, hoping that would woke, but it was only then did she realise she felt dizzy. She looked back up to the girl who had apparently realised something. "Yeah?", she replied.​

 

Ooc: Guitar Hero is fun~

"I never got to thank you for what you did earlier, so thanks. By the way, my name's Melanie." She reached out her hand so the girl could shake it. "What's yours?" She waited for an answer.

 

Alice smiled, but why was she holding out to her hand, was she meant to slap it or grab it. She started to wish she learnt social skills before she left the basement. She ended up grabbing it and replied, "My name is Alice".​

 

Melanie shook it lightly before letting go and sitting on the ground next to Alice. She noticed the sky got a little bit darker as they had talked. "The Sun usually sets around six thirty this time of year, so it'll be dark sometime around seven." Someone else would be taking that cot she slept in at the basement. Where would she be sleeping now?

 

"Will they still be there then?", Alice asked as she continued to rest her tired legs, "I was with others when we came, I'm just hoping that they are okay". Well she was only really half concerned, she was more worried about the two of them, as she had no weapon. Maybe she can go back to that ally and find it, or locate Rho and borrow a one of his many weapons.​

 

Alex stared at Serin before looking around the area they were in. The parts of Pulse she's already seen all seemed the same; and everyone almost looked the same as well. "We stand out so much." she muttered to herself, remembering the stares everyone was giving her before she ran into the guard. I wish I could see how different I really am.

 

Ooc: I wouldn't know, never had one. :/

Melanie raised her shoulders and then dropped them. "I dunno. They could be there until real late in the night and then decide to leave. Or they're leaving now." She paused before adding more conversation. "Alice, you came here with others, right? What're they like?"

 

Damn... lol... these questions are hard. Also you guys are posting at 6 am my time... I'm doing 12 pm but I can't after next week. I have school again.

It took some time before she could answer, she didn't get to know the others before leaving, and she was the last to wake up, so she didn't get to spend as much time with the others. "I didn't get to speak to them before we arrived", she admitted, "There was too much going on".​

"...Oh well, how did they look? I don't think that much stuff went on that you couldn't see their appearances." Melanie watched the sky slowly turned a darker shade, knowing it would be dark in another thirty minutes. While waiting for an answer, she glanced around to think of a place she could sleep at later.

Alice tried to avoid answering, she didn't really get a good enough look at the others before she left, instead she looked up at the sky which changed colour, making her curious.​
