Alice was panting, but she smiled, almost laughing. It was fun running away, avoiding death like that, she didn't know why. Maybe it was because she was learning about herself. How many men where actually chasing her, there had to be at least 18, and she was unscratched. She outbeat 20 men today. As she panted, she saw a piece of reflective glass on the floor. It was the first time she had ever saw what she looked like. She had long blonde hair, fair skin and... what was going on with her eyes? She saw them turn from their white state to a regular blue, it was probably from the flash before. She turned to the girl, "Are you okay?", she asked softly.​

 

Ugh....stupid sunlight...Angel opened her eyes, groaned, then rolled over, discarding her blanket. She closed her eyes again, feeling the warmth the light gave her on her back, and continued to sleep. What else was there to do anyway?

Melanie kept staring at the girl for a moment. It took her a sec to realize that she was asked a question. "I'm....just fine. But are YOU okay?" She questioned while moving closer to Alice and squatting on her knees, not wanting to sit on the ground. "And you never answered my other question."

 

Alice smiled at the girl, knowing she was okay. "Yeah... I just... need a moment", she panted, still exhausted from the running. "And you never answered my other question." The statement scared her, how could she answer, she had to lie. "I'm... from... a different town", she said hoping it would work, "called...um... Beat".​

Emmy looked behind her as she ran. The guard was falling behind. Luckily, and oddly, there was still only one on her tail. She turned a corner to find an old church. Not much, but I'll take it, Emmy thought, a hint of a smile on her face. She charged full speed at the wooden front door, it banged open. Sunlight streamed through the windows and onto the aisles. She turned and closed the the door and leaned against it, listening for the guard.

 

"Beat?" Melanie tilted her head to the side and made her eyes stare up at the sky while in thought. Beat....that might've sounded familiar. It was probably around one of those eastern towns far from Pulse. Her eyes met back with the girl. "Is that far from here?" she asked.

 

Alex quickly raised her head, looking at the direction they had come from, hearing the same thing Serin had heard. "Yeah." she said, responding to his question. "It does." She took her hand away from her shoulder, taking her hood off and pushing herself off the ground. "Are we going back or what?" she asked, looking at Serin as she grabbed onto her shoulder once more.

 

OOC:*hums along* ****ing awesome tune.

Angel looked up, blinking. "Uh.....you need something?" she asked, her voice muted and cracked from sleep. Maybe the girl wanted some fun. If so, she had come to the wrong place, obviously.

 

Emmy nearly jumped as she heard a small voice peak to her. She spun around. "Who's there?" she asked in a low voice. She didn't want the guard to hear, though he probably would have heard the wooden door opening. Emmy was rather hoping he was a dunce, anyways.

 

Angel stood up, her hair tangled and spilling around her shoulders. "I should ask who you were. This is my home. Mine. And I don't want to play with you." She rubbed her head, groaning as she stretched.

 

Her... home? Emmy squinted, trying to get a better look at the person on the other side of the large main room. It was one of her kind, one of the Omacron from the lab. "Angel? That's you, isn't it?" She walked a few steps closer. "What are you doing here?"

 

"I would love to know who you are, since you know who I am." Angel muttered, leaning against a pew. Her eyelids were half shut, her hair wildly curling about her shoulders. "I live here, since we dont' have parents, lives, or happy ever afters."

 

Emmy raised an eyebrow. "I'm Emmy," she said. "You know, from the lab..." She trailed off, thinking about what Angel said. She didn't quite understand. They were alive, did that not mean that they had lives? "You can't live here," she said softly, kindly. "This is no place to live."

 

Angel raised an eyebrow, her eyes opening slightly. "You think you're free? At least I'm away from them. Them that made us into this. We'll never belong, never fit in." She opened her eyes wider, taking a step forward, locking her gaze onto Emma's, freezing her in place, hopefully. "You know how I figured out my gift?"

 

Emmy's eyes were locked on Angels (or was it the other way around?), and though part of her wanted to look away, she couldn't. It was like Angel was staring right into her heart. "Th-they..." Emmy tried to respond. "I-I-I..." But she couldn't concentrate on anything else.

 

Angel smiled slightly, then looked away, letting her eyelids slid down to cover most of her eyes. "Is the person you're hiding from still out there?" she asked, flipping her whip back and forth.

 

Emmy didn't answer for a few seconds, frozen. Suddenly she shook her head back and forth to clear her thoughts. "Oh, uh..." She went back over to the door and pressed her ear against it. "I don't think so," she said quietly.

"Hey, do you think claiming Sanctuary would apply here?" she asked out of random curiosity.

 

Angel shrugged. "Depends on the person, what they believe in." She watched the other girl quietly, flicking her whip back and forth. "Do you believe in that, then?" she asked, tucking her whip away and going back to her blanket, yawning as she sat down on it.

 

"Yeah, it is...", she replied, sitting down, too tired to move. She didn't like lying, but it was the only way to keep her from hurting the professor and the other Omacrons. "..But it was too quiet there, no crime, no development, nothing, then I heard about this place, thought it would be fun to help fix this place". She tried to pull herself up again, "We need to get back to the main streets". ​
