Alex took another step back, looking back and forth from the guard and to what he had in his hand. Whatever it was, it was something she obviously should avoid if he was threatening her with it. The moment she had taken one more step back, the guard pulled the trigger of his weapon. Before Alex could react and dodge whatever that was coming towards her, she felt an intense pain on her shoulder. She stumbled backward, placing her hand over it, feeling something come from that area. She removed her hand and winced as she felt her body begin to slightly tremble. Her eyes grew wide, seeing a dark red liquid on her hand and on her shoulder as well. "W-What is this...?"

 

Alex watched what Serin had done to the guard. She placed her hand back against her shoulder, stepping away from the area before taking off running, following Serin. It was slightly difficult for her to run since she felt her body tremble from everything that just happened. The pain on her shoulder was almost the same as when she had gotten a headache earlier in the lab. She gritted her teeth, trying to withstand the pain and continue following Serin. She looked at him, knowing what he had just done was take a life. It didn't bother her as much as she thought it would.

 

OOC: Wow. @_@ I've read through all of the posts, and my brain can't seem to process what all the characters are doing. Can someone give me a real quick recap, please?

 

OOC: Arch and Vi's character are together, fighting or something, and spaze and crumpet are together, fighting. Isn't it fun?

BIC: Angel smiled wryly, watching the commotion. Idiots, they didn't realize it was pointless to fight with someone. She lay on her back and stretched out, her arms above her head. Alone at last. Smiling, she closed her eyes. It wasn't so bad, once you accepted it. Her legs swung in the slight breeze, it gently tugging at her hair.

 

Set knocked on the door of the house he was outside of. He didn't know why but he wanted to help the old man. The small girl answered the door asking what he wanted. Set answered with his first sentence, "I want to help". Surprisingly, from the other room the old man had heard and accepted the offer calling out to Jen to let Set in. The three people now stood in the same room each at different heights exhanging looks before exchanging names. It was stange, Set was curious to both death and his odd feeling of wanting to give this man longer to live.

Hey thanks for introducing guns ^^
I've been thinking of a way to go on my two week leave with the thought that I did something interesting to my character... now that guns are in, my most intellectual plan can go through >: )

"A spy....?", she mumbled, wondering what that was, she didn't ask though, she would later when she outran the rest of them. Her legs where still getting tired, but she was confident she could out run at least most of these guys. The gap between them was growing larger slowly. She wondered how she could beat them if they caught up to them, she left her knife behind with the last two, and didn't they have weapons? The last two didn't, either that or they were too easy to defeat, but these guys might, and if they did, Alice's and the other girls chances of surviving would drop quite quickly. She kept turning corners, taking tighter ones, believing it wouls slow them down easier.​

haha, I just remembered, I used the power pain... thing... whatever as an excuse to get the first guys to attack, I do have a back up...

"Well, what are you then?" Melanie asked. Guessing by her response, the girl probably wasn't a spy, though it would've been cool. Then what was she if she was this healthy and had the strength to run this long? An assassin? That would make sense. The girl might've only saved her just to get information about the palace and the ruler, something she knew very little about. She could imagine her dressing up as a servant in rags to sneak in and then--.... Melanie decided to ask a different question. "I mean, where are you from? There's no way you could be from here."

ooc: i got brain dead.

 

Rolling backwards, Angel slid into the main room of the church. Sleepily, she walked to the smaller ante chamber, crawling into a small hole in the ground. She grabbed an old altar cloth and wrapped it around her, making sure it covered her feet. They were always so cold...she smiled, shivered, then curled up in a tiny ball, falling into a light sleep.

 

can we say that we lost more people? lol... this running thing is making me lose ideas.

As more people were losing their speed and the guard numbers dropped again, the question that was asked had slowed her down a little. How could she answer this question too? What was with all these hard questions anyway? She looked back for a second to see the the numbers had dropped to about three, but the lack of concentration made me her trip over falling to the floor. She managed to pull herself up quickly and made sure se was inbetween the men that were finally catching up with her and the girl she was trying to save.​

 

Emmy effortlessly snatched a bread roll from a vendor's basket. Once she turned the corner out of the marketplace, she took the roll out of her sleeve and looked down at it, smiling triumphantly. She took a greedy bite out of it, and walked right into someone. The person didn't look phased. In fact, he was glaring at Emmy. Then she realized. It was a guard. "I saw you take that, missy," he said, gesturing to the bread.

Her mouth still full, eyes wide and alert, she dropped the bread, turned on her heel and ran in the opposite direction.

She could hear the guard yelling "Halt!" after her. She kept running.

 

OOC:Well I can't post till Spaze does, but I feel silly now coz my character was the only one who hasn't run away =[ lol

well she was backed in a corner I suppose, and she si running now, but there was apparently 18 guards which I still "WTF!" too

Ehhh.. this is me bored...

 

Ooc: Oops.

Melanie noticed how the girl ignored her question and decreased her running speed. She was probably too tired to run and talk at the same time. She was going to say something else until the girl tripped and she ended up falling to the ground also. She quickly picked herself up and dusted off dirt on her clothing as she spotted the guards getting closer to them. What was going to happen now? If they were caught, it was certainly going to be death. Melanie watched the girl to see what she would do.

 

okay, I'm basically stuck unless I use her power......yeeaaahhh!! Didn't want to do this so soon.

There were only three guards left, which was still not a good sign. She had been able to take out two before, but for one, she had a knife and now she had a girl to protect. Panting, she had prepared herself for a fight, but she had to think of a way to get out of this. She tried to concentrate very hard on what to do, but instead she felt a white flash from behind her eyes, similar to what she experienced before in the ally, except it wasn't long enough to blind her. The men stopped in their tracks.​

 

Melanie seemed to make a 'wtf' look when she saw her eyes. How did she make her eyes white?! She looked at the guards to see their reactions and knew she wasn't seeing things. Supernatural abilites? She stared wide eyed as she looked at the girls eye's once more.

I wasn't expecting her eyes to change colour, but oh well !!! Damn, how the hell is she meant to explain this? lol
EDIT: sorry it took me a but, I heard noises in my backyard, thought someone was breaking in which is wierd coz it's day time

The guards looked like they were on drugs. They stood their open-mouthed for a few seconds. She hadn't realised her eyes changed colour, but she did notice a big overturned dumpster looking object. She pulled the girl behind it, just in time as the men began to return to their orginal state.

"Umm, what were we doing?", one asked, which shocked Alice. Did she really make them forget?

"No idea"

"Hey, the boss might get us for slacking off, let's go", the last one replied and they all left.

When the men were out of sight, Alice tried to get up to check, but her legs were unstable and she fell back down again. Managing to pull herself to her knees, she realised she had wasted a lot of energy.​

 

Ooc: But you--....Oops. You could've ignored that. D: You said she could see white in the alley. I thought her eyes changed the color too. *fails*

Melanie stayed still in the spot she was pulled into, not knowing what to say. She had seen the weird looks the guards gave off before getting pulled behind the dumpster. She then listened to the short conversation they had before hearing them leave. They actually forgot what they were doing? She'd seen the girl try getting back up on her feet, but she fell. Apparently she must've used a lot of energy doing all that running...just for her?

 

Alex slowed down her pace when she heard Serin say to stop. When she came to a stop, she turned around, holding onto her shoulder. She stared at the direction they had come from, seeing nobody behind them. Alex lowered her head, wincing once more from the pain around her shoulder. She walked over to a wall, practically throwing her back against it and slid down to the ground. She deeply sighed out, lowering her head to look down at the pavement. "Damn it..."
