Alice knew the situation was bad, but never imagined this. She walked through the streets seeing people working as fast as they could, no life left in their eyes. The children were also helping, though they fell down a lot due to the amount of work they had to do. Everybody looked malnutritioned, which made Alice stand out, she was a healthy weight. She tried to stay out of sight as much as possible, not wanting anyone to talk to her or ask questions, because she didn't know if she could answer.

At one point, she found herself walking down an ally, as a few people were staring. She was leaning against a wall thinking of what to do when it hit her. An enourmous amount of pain had surged though her head, but it was mainly being concentrated around the eye area. She slid down the wall, squeezing her temple as much as she could hoping it would stop the pain. When she tried to open her eyes, all she could see was white. She kept her lips tight shut so she wouldn't scream, but a few mumbles of pain came out.

It took a few minutes before the pain started to cool down. She began to open her eyes again, hoping she hadn't gone blind. Her view was blurry, but she could see two figures walking towards her. A few blinks made her view clearer, but the figures where getting closer, and she could hear chuckles of laughter. Alice kept blinking, and began pulling herself up the wall, but it wasn't until the two figures had come up to her that she got her sight back, and from what the professor described, she automatically knew who they were. The leader's guards.​

 

Seeing guards as she went on her way, Melanie walked slowly and made sure to stare at the floor while looking more unhappy then she already was. The slightest look of hope or nervousness would've hinted that she was doing something she shouldn't be doing, even though they barely payed any attention to her. In fact, she should be sweeping one of the many hallways in the palace with other servant maids. That could wait. She was thinking more about her stomach than about the consequences of getting caught eating the rulers food at the moment.

Melanie glanced up at the camera in the top right corner of the hallway before looking back at the floor. Could she really be able to steal this food? She ignored the thought and began to imagine what was in that plant. Pork chops? Ham? Carrots? A loud growling sound ended the slience in the hallway as Melanie put a hand on her stomach like she could force it to stop. The guards that weren't paying attention suddenly started doing so now. Melanie tried ignoring their stares and continued moving before she heard one of them call her out.

"Hey, you!"

"Well, well, well, looks like someone's taking a break", one of the guards started to the other as Alice managed to pull herself up. The other had grabbed onto her shoulder tightly.
"You don't look like your from here, where are you from?", the first one smirked. Alice opened her mouth to answer, but what could she say? She was built by a scientist to overthrow society? She kept silent which annoyed the man.
"TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE FROM!", he ordered. Alice kept her mouth shut which made him even more infuriated. Her punched Alice across the face. The pain across her face had somehow made her angry. She retaliated and went after both men.​

 

Alex had wandered into the marketing area of Pulse. Looking around, she began to see what her and the others were needed to do. Everyone seemed so helpless and desperate. All this sunk deep down into her, wanting to head back to the palace and look for this ruler. I don't even think this guy deserves to live. Alex clenched her hands into fists as she suddenly felt herself be pulled. Someone's arm went over her shoulders. She raised her head to see someone holding something in their hand as she looked up to see the item and the person's face. It looked as if it was covered in dirt and by the looks of it, he must have been around the age of Al. When he opened his mouth, Alex felt someone else put their hand on her shoulder and pull her back. Her eyes suddenly grew wide from by the looks of it, the person that pulled her was a guard.

"Who are you?" he said as he kept his hand tightly around Alex's arm.

Alex looked around, lowering her head, wondering what she could say. Damn it.

"Answer the question!" the guard yelled.

Rosette had ended up in an alleyway, exhausted since she ended up running away. The thought had scared her. What if it was true? She leaned against the wall, closing her eyes and slightly leaned forward, trying to catch her breath. If she was thinking was true, who would she go to? She doubted anyone other than the guards would be of some help. But guards were with the ruler so it's pointless to go to them. Rosette opened her eyes, sighing out deeply. What do I do?

 

Slinking through the allies, Angel stopped, bending over and tucking her hair behind her ear. She studied the puddle before her, each water droplet like a million crystals. Blinded, she blinked, as the vision disappeared. Odd....instinctively she reached behind her and threw the guy that had been behind her, over her head and into the wall. She didn't look back, just kept walking, into an abandoned building. It was probably an old church..a home now. She smiled, exploring her new place.

 

Alice had automatically punched the first guard which made the second one retaliate by grabbing hold of her arms. The first one came back smirking, thinking he had an upper hand, butt he was easily kicked away. The one holding her had tightened his grip, but Alice had knocked her head into his, making him let go instantly. She retaliated by grabbing her knife and stabbing the second guard, then moved back to the first who was still pulling himself up. She also stabbed him and they both died shortly afterwards.

Alice was still angry, but fear was now speedily taking over her. She had killed, taken a life, no matter how evil they were she still did it. She dropped the knife and sunk to the floor. A liquid had come from her eyes, which surprised her. She put some on her finger and examined it, was this what happened when she killed, she didn't like it... she didn't want to do it again.​

BIC: Emmy had been the last one of the Omacron to walk out of the opening. Though she was dying to see the city; the beautifully ruined city, she almost didn't want to leave the safety of the lab. She took a few steps into the sunlight, put her arm up to her face to shield her eyes from the sun's rays. What to do.... Her stomach rumbled, and she felt oddly out of place. She saw what looked like guards on every street corner.

Emmy managed to find her way to the market place. She found a vendor selling coats and cloaks of all sorts. (OOC: très luckily 8D) She walked up to the table casually and slowly, looking around subtly to make sure no one was paying her any attention. She eyed a cloak that seemed like it would fit her. She snatched it and quickly put it on all in almost two seconds. She hated the guilty feeling stealing gave her. She continued on through the marketplace.

Alice started to get up and leave the ally, not wanting to look at the two men behind her. She had also completely forgotten about her knife which remained on the floor. When she left the ally, not only did she notice Rho, but a girl that nearly bumped into her. A sound shouting "Hey you!", had rung through the streets, though she doubted this time was for her, the man was a distance away yet, but she had to protect the civilians.​

 

Slipping into the tower, Angel looked out over the city. It had such an old beauty to it, like an old woman you knew was beautiful enough ifi you looked hard enough. She smiled, letting her legs swing dangerously over the edge. A small push would send her over, but no one knew she was here. She vaugely wondered what death felt like, what it would be like to fall to her death.

 

Ooc: Apparently I'm outside now...>.>

Melanie stopped, not even finishing her last step after the guard called. Out of all people... She quickly turned around to be facing the direction the guard was. He was walking over to her. Melanie had the urge to run off instead of staying but she knew that could only make the situation worse.

Alice saw that the girl was in trouble, and her uncontrolable need to help kicked in. Hoping to distract the man, she had walked up behind the man and punched him in the back of the head.​

The guard felt the back of his head with one hand as he turned to the girl that hit him. "You litte--" He sent Alice a punch in return at the side of her face.

What...? Melanie stared at the fight that came out of nowhere. Why did that girl do that? From the looks of it, she probably wasn't from Pulse. The girl looked too healthy, and no one there would have dared touch a guard. She stayed to see what would happen next, not even thinking this was her chance to get away.

 

this actually made me laugh.

Alice did stumble a little, but she took a few steps back away from the girl, just in case she got hurt. She then kicked the guard in the stomach and while he was distracted, she went through her pocket to try and find the knife, finally realising she left it behind. Silently cursing to herself, she went back into attack mode and punched the man in the face again, hoping she had knocked him out. While preparing herself in case he got back up, she began to think of a way to get rid of him, but not through killing.​

 

The guard kneeled down in pain just as the girl sent another punch to one of his eyes. He then tilted his head to the side to see more guards were coming to help him out.

Melanie watched as the fight gathered more attention. People around the streets were coming around to observe it and she could see more guards that were coming from up ahead. She didn't want that girl dying because of her. She quickly blattered out something random to her. "Hurry up and leave! Don't you see you'll die if more catch you?!"

Alice had managed to take down two before, but she turned around for a second to see a number of guards chasing after her. She was still worried about the girl, so after giving the guard a final kick in the head, she pulled the girl onto her back, and started running off. She was faster than the guards, so she slowly began to lose them, but there were many twists and turns in this city and she had no clue where she was going. "Can you give me directions?", she asked the girl.​

Melanie was too shocked to give her an answer immediately. All she did was walk down the street in hopes of finding food. Instead, she was on the back of an abnormal girl and getting chased by a large number of guards with her. Melanie was also shocked by the fact that she was being carried so easily and how fast the girl was moving. Maybe the girl was a spy. She wanted to ask but decided she better answer her question. "Um, yeah. You should lose them if you take a left through that alley nearby. You keep on running until you see a few more pathways you can go through. That should get rid of a few of them."

 

"Thanks", she said quickly and turned left, she ran for a bit and there were a few more pathways, she picked one and continued to run. The guards did reduce in numbers, but a few were still following. She kept running though, but she was getting a little tired, though she was still a lot faster than the other guards, it wouldn't take very long to lose them. She kept running though, and the guards seemed to be getting tired also. She smiled a little, knowing she had an advantage, "Where to now?", she asked the girl on her back.​

 

Alex bit her lower lip, having the urge to just pull away from the guard and run off. But she knew if she did that, she'd be put in even more trouble. "I'm..." She looked down at the guard's hand that held onto her arm. His grip was tightening bit by bit. Damn, I don't even know what the correct answer is! Alex looked around, seeing a few people stare at her. Some had like a terrified expression while others looked as if they were waiting for something to happen. A grin crossed her face as she finally thought of something. As she opened her mouth to speak, she felt as herself be tugged once more. When she turned her head, she saw that the guard was taking her somewhere. Alex narrowed her eyes and her first reaction was to slam her fist against the guard's head and quickly pull away.

The guard stumbled forward then turned to face Alex, pulling something out from a pouch that was hanging on the side of his hip. It was oddly shaped and it was pure black. The guard pointed it at Alex, taking a step forward as she took a step back. "Stay where you are!" he demanded.

OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in the past two days. Dealing with a few personal issues so don't expect me to post as much as before. But I'll try to post as much as I can.

 

"Um, anywhere? We just passed the last part of the area I knew, so I have no idea of whats around here." Melanie stared back at the guards that were still persistent enough to continue following them. "Hey, there's only nine left... I can't believe you out ran most of them! You must be a spy then."
