Video Game Deadliest Warrior idea:

I was planning on starting a thread on which Video Game Character would win in a battle if they ever met. Id do it in the format of the Television Show Deadlies Warrior.

Different charactrs abilities, weapons and tactics, and rate each. I would like volunteers to be neutral judges in a variety of Video Game matchups, and help us determine who would win. I would also like specialist willing to reinforce the capabilities and unique powers of each character. Any ideas for fair matchups would be appreciated.

I have a few ideas for matchups.

Sephiroth Vs Kratos
Alucard Vs Dante
Raynors Raiders (Starcraft II, I woild like to be a specialist on here.) Vs Spartans of Halo

So, what do you think?

 

It sounds like a decent idea, but wouldn't you need the right amount of people to actually help with it? I would though.

 

would we be able to use video games based on anime and movies and stuff?

also i always wanted to have Link and Sora battle it out. Keyblade vs Mastersword, that sort of thing.

That's a good matchup. :) I was suprised I didn't think of it. I was wondering who'd match Sora. But he question is which Link?

And of course. Anime based games would be fun. But, it'd be kinda hard to get good matches. Freakin Unbalanced Naruto.

I don't know much about Kratos, but what with taking on the entire Greek pantheon and somehow living through three games, I'd say he's got the edge over little old Sephy.

Alucard is the son of Dracula.

Dracula is Vlad the Impaler.

Dante handles impalement pretty damn well.

I think we have a winner.

I think Sephiroth could easily take on an entire Greek Pantheon and a Greek god as well.

Second, a pantheon is full of gods.

 

yeah, we all know sephiroth has the strength of the gods. Heck, he could summon meteor. I would love to see them block that.

I think we have our first matchup. With both of your consents, id lik to open a thread in the Gaming Discussion arena and have you be specialist and present which character is better at different type of combats. Id like suggestions as t what you think the categories should be, Ie: Melee, Magic, ranged combat, armor and weaponry ect. If you two are wlling to debate ti in an organied and fair manner, sight evidence as to what the Canonical limits of their abilities are, I will start thi thread. I will offer the warning tho, I know a little about Sephiroth, but nothing about Kratos aside what I seen in the God Of War trailers.

Also, you are more than welcome to invite other secialist to your cause. In case you never seen Deadliest Warrior, the format is a specific category is elected, and they compare how each ones weapon (or in this case, could be abilities or otherwise powers) would fair against the other. An edge is assigned, and they go to the next category.

Also, anyone else willing t help my judge the edges and overall score of this match?

Think about this for a second. The gods embody the essential elements that compose the universe. To kill them is to kill lightning, kill fire, kill happiness and fertility. Theirs is not power, but dominion; unsurpassed control. Meanwhile, Sephiroth is mortal; he was defeated by a non-god; he never outright attained godhood, informed or otherwise; and I'm pretty sure he outright stated that it would be only after absorbing the Lifestream that he attained true godhood.

In short, the Greek pantheon is to Sephiroth as a mighty oak is to a dead, crumbling leaf.

And Kratos can kill those gods.

 

well, let's see. Kratos only killed Ares because he had help from Gaia as well as Pandora's box in the first game. Sephiroth could easily still kill them, since he's practically forever, in a sense. And Kratos was a mortal who defeated Areas, Sephiroth did how much damage with just his power alone?

Then it should be easy for you to win the debate. Keep in mind: Underestimating yur oponent often leads to defeat!

 

Moot point. The sheer fact that he's gone among gods and lived this long puts him above Seph. Sephiroth has never had to contend with as much and, indeed, was defeated by far less.

Baseless. Explain.

...Not even sure what argument you're tackling here. Sounds more like you're helping my arguments than hurting them. If both are mortal, and one has defeated gods while one was defeated by someone even more mortal, how can you argue the latter is stronger?
