Time Only Knows

Johanna looked up at Wolfe and gave a friendly smile. "It's the lazy way of digging if you asked me," she replied, standing up and stretching. It was a silly excuse for her her phobia of explosions, but it worked for her. "Sounds like they're done. Time to go see what 'we' have found." She started to walk to the dig site, stopped, then turned around to Wolfe. "Do... do you want to come?" she asked, not thinking about what the professor might say.

 

Eva started jogging, keeping her head down. The shield was weighing her down, and she thought about dropping it off more then once. Slowly making her way to the dig site, she hid behind a rock, watching.

 

Morgan silently stood in the background. She followed the two of them since the professor wanted them to tag along. She looked at the hour glass and couldn't help but gawk at it a little. "It's huge..." she whispered.

 

Ivan walked in through the hole keeping his eyes on the hourglass trying to not let his mouth drop to his feet from the sheer fact it seemed to of been uneffected by time or the effects of sand corrosion. As he walked in he felt himself step on something, he looked down seeing a dagger with numerous slits along it. After picking it up he realised it wasn't effected by anything just like the hourglass. Moving out the way for others to get in he kept the dagger in his left hand.

 

Eva peeked at the inside of the cave, staying away from everyone else. "Makes sense." she murmured. She crouched out of sight, watching. She didn't want to get caught again.

 

Samantha rubbed her eyes from the explosion that had caused sand to go into her eyes. She lowered her hands lowering her head, keeping her eyes closed. When she felt nothing blowing, she opened her eyes to see a large hole on the wall. "Whoa..." she mumbled. She turned her attention towards the professor, Dastan and everyone else that was heading in. Sam took a deep breath and ran after them.

 

Wolfe looked into the distance. "I might aswell.... even though i hate these strangers." she smiled, walking towards were johanna was, carrying her staff with her. "what do you think they have found?" she asked.

 

Johanna walked alongside Wolfe. "We're looking for something called the 'Hourglass of Time'" she said. "It's intriguing, really. It must be so ancient...." She trailed off, in thought and in awe, as they got to the hole in the wall that was blasted away.

 

Eva watched, her eyes wide. She felt nervous so close to the Hourglass, but it was so interesting....she peeked out from behind the rock a little more, ignoring the people and watching the hourglass.

 

A chill ran down his back as Ryan took a step forward, towards the explosion. "Now what would they be blowing up?" He asked himself. He started to run to the dig site. He skidded to a halt and started to walk as he got closer. He looked around, curious. He noticed two people walking, and talking together. He caught up with them. "Hello." Ryan said kindly.

 

Morgan watched as the people started to flock around the hourglass. she watched as the professor stared at Dastan in amazement. What was professor so excited about? Morgan looked back at the hourglass, studying its craftsmanship.

 

Wolfe shrugged. "I...I don't really have any interest in this sort of thing really." she laughed. "but hey, I might as well see whats going on, right? not as if it will kill me..." A large explosion echoed through the land. "well...not much."

 

Eva's eyes widened as she watched. Hopefully nothing was going to blow up or anything. She should leave, but her curiousity needed to be satisfied.

 

Ivan looked at his dagger then at the one in the hands of Dastan. He watched as he waited for whatever they where doing to the hourglass, although he was concerned about the sandstorm outside not knowing that that was soon to be the least of his worries. He kept the dagger in his hand feeling it getting looser as he gripped it in his hand.

 

Johanna gave Wolfe a weird look, followed by a nervous smile. She looked over at Ryan, though the sand was blowing in her eyes. "We'd better hurry up," she said to him. She stepped in, and behind the other archeologists, she saw the Hourglass, and it was better than she imagined. She walked up quietly beside Ivan, eying the professor and Dastan.
"What'd I miss?" she managed to whisper to Ivan. She knew something odd was happening.... what was Dust doing?

 

Ivan looked behind him to see Johanna asking him a question, "I don't know whats going on, the proffesser is making Dastan do something with his dagger to the hourglass", he said trying not to let the proffesser hear in fear of a monlouge. The dagger felt lighter once again as he looked at it, the slits where wider and a metal wire was inside it, What is this weapon?

 

Eva watched. She didn't remember any of these people from anywhere. The sandstorm was close, but she ignored it, watching. She didn't want anyone to catch her here.

 

Wolfe followed, looking at the hourglass silently. she analysed it, a small spark of curiosity sparking in her eyes. "what is that...?" she asked.
