The war of Humans and Elves.

Nox sensced she was getting farther, "Well lets see if you can get away from this."
Nox extended his arm and taped the lines. Ley lines were invisable power sources for most magic users. They were literaly everywere but strong ones were harder to find. Nox was near a decent ley line. Nox began to pull on Nadia through the line. It would improve his hold. And if he had to pull Nadia through the lines.

 

Eva hesitated, as Nadia whimpered again. "Okay....Get her there as soon as possible." She hugged Nadia tightly. "I'll see you soon." she murmured, handing her to Freelancer and pulling out her katanas. "I'm going for Nox."

 

freelancer took her and began to run, the pulling not affecting his progress

 

Eva stood stock still, watching Nox. "Who the hell do you think you are?"

 

The one in the middle spoke up. He was the oldest of all of them. "No, no, no... We just want to talk to you. Times weren't always like this you know. This war between humans and elves are quite ridiculous."

"It wouldn't be so ridiculous had you not seen what the humans did to our precious city-"

The leader raised his hand up to the one councilor that spoke up. "Hush my friend... Now is not the time to discuss such things." He gestured to Grey and Ireth to sit. "Have a seat..."

Ireth sat three feet away from where Grey was standing, not looking up at Grey.

"Nox," Nox said, "and your the girl who use to owe me money. So can I help you?"
Nox pulled harder on the ley line. Nadia began to glow red.

 

Eva threw a rock at him. "Stop hurting her!" she yelled, moving closer. "I would pay your damn money back if you would stp hurting her. She's not a toy!"

 

"First you already payed me back. And who are we talking about," Nox asked.

 

Eva closed her eyes for a second. "The elf you put the device in. Leave. her. Alone. Or I swear I will make you suffer."

 

"Nadia?" Nox said, "You know her. She said she didn't have any family."

 

Eva opened her eyes, circling around Nox. "Family is a defined word. And as you may have noticed, I'm human." She experimentally feinted to the left, her eyes wary. "Now leave her alone. Use me."

 

"I would take you up on that offer except I don't have anouther charm and I don't know if I can remove it from her. I know this may not be to conforting but I don't plan to keep her. I need her to hate me if I'm going to run sucecessful test," Nox said, "That doesn't sound much better does it?"

 

'Glowing red, Ive seen worse" he said as he jumped up, throwing a red potion which propelled him about 150 yards forward, which landed him 200 yardes away from the woods. He continued running

 

The head elder surprisingly laugh. "I couldn't agree more..."

The second councilor was exasperated. "Wha-! He just insulted you!"

"Patience my friend, compose yourself..." The elder studied Grey carefully, taking mental notes in his mind. "Be assured, this meeting won't last long. Although we don't show it, we're quite curious about... human ways..." The elder grew serious, staring Grey down. "What puzzles me the most is that you have grown up in a society where you are taught to hate the elves, and destroy them... Yet you helped Ireth... Why is that...?"

 

The elder continued to stare at Grey, listening to his words. He slowly smiled in understanding, nodding his head a few times. He broke his gaze with Grey, closing his eyes. "I see..." The elder opened his eyes waving his hand towards Grey. "You have my thanks for bringing her to safety. You may stay here as long as you want to as a friend..."

One councilor sighed out, grudgingly agreeing with his Elder. The other one how ever was outraged. "What?! A human, staying in our village?!"

The Elder ignored his councilor, smiling slightly. He looked at Ireth. "Show him a place where he can stay..."

Ireth clutched her fist and then relaxed. Here she thought she could avoid this guy. What did the Elder see in her that she didn't?! She abruptly stood up, forgetting about her injured ankle. She winced slightly, but didn't make it known. "This way," she muttered quietly. Ireth turned and walked out of the hut without another word.

"Do not mind the harshness of Ireth... She had a rough past... Take a step back from her when she wants her space, and you should get along with her just fine." The Elder winked at Grey as though he knew a secrete that Grey didn't know.

 

Freelancer continued running, he was now only 100 yards away from the woods, What is in those woods he thought as he took out another red potion

 

Nadia shivered, holding her head. "It hurts...." she murmured.

 

Nox sighed, 'doesn't matter now. She's about to come back here.'
Nadia was pulled out of Freelancers hands and was flung into a red line of energy. She would go into it and end up back at Nox's feet.
