The Ultimate Final Fantasy Crossover

The idea for this RP came both from Dissidia/Duodecim and Garxena's awesome RP Final Fantasy VII: Black Gold. The basic idea is a crossover between all main Final Fantasy games (starting from number one all of the way to number 13/Type-0 and the Tactics series), but happening in a single game. For this RP, it's going to be in Final Fantasy VII/7. This means that characters from the entire series will be available (though not all characters) but will be reworked to fit into FF7's world. We (Bushy Brow, Machina/Terra/Arch, and I) spent quite some time trying to make things fit so we're taking several...liberties with some characters to make them fit. Several characters will be unavailable while others will be replaced with another (Angeal, for instance, will be replaced with Auron). Some relationships will be cut (the fal'Cie from XIII are no longer related to l'Cie), others will be made, characters will be reworked completely, etc. This also meant editing the world map of Final Fantasy VII ("The Planet") and adding new elements. Because we planned for this RP to be quite massive (so you should join!), there's going to be one main storyline affecting everybody (Wutai/Shinra War) but three overlapping storylines happening at the same time. I'll go into more detail later~

The purpose of this thread is to recruit and answer any questions while developing the RP. Reason being that such a massive RP with such a wide range of characters from different worlds will need 'fine tuning' to make the characters fit.

So if you're interested, HERE's what you do. Post in this thread with the character(s) you want or any questions or ideas or whatever and we'll work on it. This is a process (Don't expect the RP to be up tomorrow) so it'll take a while.

This story is going to take place during Crisis Core. Unlike the game, the war is still ongoing due to the Wutai's new ruler, Emperor Mateus (From FFII) who summoned an army from Hell. With a never ending magical army, he's been able to keep Shinra at bay.

Shinra on the other hand has several groups of special warriors. While not infinitely numbered, their soldiers are diverse and powerful. The Wutai/Shinra War has been kept at a stalemate until either side can find a way to beat the other.

A third land is the northern land of the Planet. For this RP, it's the continent of Ivalice. Ivalice is neutral and its military sucks compared to Wutai's magical army and Shinra's high tech soldiers. However, the ruler of Ivalice is using the Wutai/Shinra War as a distraction for his own evil deeds.

The RP, for the most part, will have three main stories going (Wutai, Shinra, and Ivalice) that take place during the Wutai/Shinra War. Each story will have a good and bad side for a total of six sides. The sides may interact or may never interact. For the most part, it's basically three RPs taking place at the same time. Bah, I'm rambling so I'm going to go ahead and post the list of characters.

If a character has an asterisk (*) by their name, they are a really IMPORTANT character. Other characters are important and can even become more important, but we can't move on without the *characters. Can't have FF7 without Sephiroth or Cloud, can you?

*Shinra
The name of a power company with its own private army. Shinra seeks to take control over the entire world, already having taken control of the two largest continents. They are currently engaged in a war with Wutai. Though Shinra had initially begun to win the war, Wutai's new ruler has turned the war in Wutai's favor. Shinra's military forces is composed of high tech weaponry, genetically enhanced soldiers, and master tacticians.

SOLDIER
SOLDIER is the name for sword users enhanced with the power of Mako. They are considered Shinra's ultimate weapons and are their strongest fighters. SOLDIERs are divided into three classes: Third, Second, and First Class. Third and Second Classes are the weakest and usually accompany SeeD, First Class SOLDIERs, or the Shinra Army on missions. First Class can be considered the strongest soldiers of Shinra and are thus given more rights. First Class is divided into two sub groups: SOLDIERs Elite composed of the three friends of Seymour Guado, Sephiroth, and Auron which are the three strongest warriors in Shinra and each given a different role, and the bodyguards of the Princesses, Garnet and Yuna, Jecht and Steiner.

Seymour Guado(FFX)

Seymour Guado was born to one of the last remaining Ancients and a Summoner in Spira. Being half Ancient and half Summoner, Seymour was a special case when it came to his heritage. His father had left both Seymour and his mother in Spira and left to find the "Promised Land." At the end of the first half of the Wutai/Shinra War, a storm ravished Spira, destroying most of its inhabitants. Seymour's mother gave her life to protect her son. When President Aulystine came to find his illegitimate daughters, Seymour begged to join Shinra. President Aulystine made him SOLDIER and kept his Summoner heritage secret (not knowing about Seymour's other half) and allows Seymour to be the only SOLDIER who doesn't use a sword, relying on magic and staff instead. Seymour serves as Shinra's ambassador. He was the one who convinced Judgemaster Cid of Wutai to surrender, though the Emperor's quick rise to power stopped the war from ending.

Sephiroth(FFVII)

The first and strongest SOLDIER, Sephiroth was born to Kefka and Lucrecia Crescent as a product of the Jenova Project. Injecting cells from an extra-terrestrial entity called Jenova (mistaken to be one of the Ancients) into the pregnant Lucrecia's womb created a super human. Shinra took in Sephiroth and raised him as their personal warrior, telling him nothing of his parents except that his mother's name was "Jenova." As the strongest SOLDIER, Sephiroth is called upon by President Aulystine more than the other SOLDIERs.
Sephiroth wields the great blade Masumune.

Auron(FFX)

As a young monk, Auron was recruited by President Aulystine as an early subject for SOLDIER. A great success, Auron became one of the Elite, usually tasked with training promising new SOLDIERs. One of the three strongest SOLDIERs, Auron trained a promising recruit named Zack Fair during the first half of the Wutai/Shinra War. He entrusted his Buster Sword to Zack upon Zack becoming First Class out of pride towards his student. It was only a matter of time until Emperor Mateus gained power and Zack was killed by an army of Manikins, leaving only Cloud Strife and the Buster Sword.
Auron tends to use a katana in battle.

Jecht(FFX)

A world-renowned blitzball player, Jecht is the father of Tidus, another blitzball player. After perfecting his famous Jecht Shot, Jecht started hearing talk about him needing to retire. Ranting on about still being the best, Jecht started drinking and was eventually arrested. President Aulystine himself freed Jecht with the condition of Jecht undergoing special SOLDIER testing. Jecht became not just a SOLDIER, but the ability to transform into a 'Special Form'. President Aulystine then entrusted Jecht to be Yuna's official guardian.

Adelbert Steiner(FFIX)

Captain Adelbert Steiner was once leader of the Knights of Pluto, Shinra's elite soldiers before SOLDIER and SeeD was founded. The Knights were disbanded when President Aulystine came into power and formed SOLDIER. However, the President eventually offered Steiner a job as SOLDIER, along with a special set of high tech armor that can shift form to triple his power, if Steiner would be the personal bodyguard of Garnet. Steiner obliged.
Steiner's sword was made with Materia, giving him the ability to charge it with elemental power. His armor can also shift forms for a short amount of time to triple his strength.

Cloud Strife(FFVII)

Cloud Strife wanted nothing more than to be the friend of his neighbor Tifa Lockhart growing up. After an incident where Tifa was injured and Cloud was blamed, he promised to become SOLDIER First Class, inspired by Sephiroth, and protect Tifa whenever she needed him. Unfortunately, he only became a Shinry Infantryman. However, on a mission where he accompanied SOLDIER First Class Zack Fair, he showed great skill with a sword and became great friends with Zack. Zack gave Cloud a recommendation for SOLDIER and Cloud barely made it to Second Class. During a mission, Zack and Cloud were ambushed an army of Manikins. Cloud was soon overcome and knocked out so Zack saved him. While Cloud was unconscious, Zack took on most of the Manikins by himself. When Cloud awoke, Zack laid dying. He told Cloud to live on for the both of them and gave Cloud his Buster Sword before dying.

Rem Tokimiya(Type-0)

Rem Tokimiya is the youngest and newest SOLDIER. Third Class, she aspired to join along with her childhood friend, Machina Kunagiri. During the process, Machina was doused with too much Mako and became a L'CIE. Rem wields a pair of twin daggers in battle.

Squall Leonhart(FFVIII)

Squall was born while his father, a Shinry Infantryman, was away on a mission. His father, Laguna Loire, did not know his wife was pregnant and came back to find her having passed away. Laguna did not know she died in childbirth and thus never realized he had a son. Squall was raised in an orphanage President Aulystine founded in order to find potential warriors. Once Squall was of age, he was recruited into Shinra and became a core member of SeeD, wielding the Gunblade, Revolver with extreme skill. He has a rivalry with Seifer.

Vincent Valentine(FFVII)

A gunslinging Turk, Vincent works for Shinra just as his father did. He tends to be employed as a bodyguard to those Shinra sees as important. He's currently working as a bodyguard for Kefka. Vincent doesn't have his Limit Break abilities yet because he hasn't been experimented on yet.

Reno is second in command of SeeD, under Raines, and is probably the second dangerous person, also next to Raines. He wields an Electro-Mag Rod, a metal rod with a taser attached to the end.

The rival of Squall, Seifer is known to be one of the best swordsman outside of SOLDIER, using a Gunblade. He is also proficient in using "chi-based" abilities, allowing him to use spells that are similar to magic without having Materia equiped.

Cid 'Raines' Aulstyne(FFXIII)

Cid Raines Aulstyne II is the leader of SeeD. He's President Aulstyne's son (and eldest child). He was meant to be in SOLDIER, but after the discovery of L'CIE, he volunteered to become the first intentional L'CIE. Because of this, he has the same magical abilities as the other L'CIE, but no Eidolon. Instead, he crystallizes his body to go into two different fighting forms. He commonly goes by his middle name 'Raines' to differentiate himself from his father.

L’CIE
L'CIE are tools of fate. Initially wanting to become SOLDIER, these unlucky individuals got Mako Poisoning. Shinra cured them, but during the process, they turned them into experiments. L'CIE now have the ability to use magic without materia. L'CIE are often integrated into SOLDIER or SeeD during battle. Each L'CIE has their own personal Eidolon, a Summon materia engineered to be a high tech vehicle. Shinra has the power to increase the Mako in L'CIE to repoison them, turning them into Mako zombies called Cieth or to completely crystallize them. Crystallizing them serves as a reward because it extends their life (Shinra has the power to uncrystallize as well). Shinra uses remote controls (one for each L'CIE) to crystallize or zombify them.

A young man who entered Shinra to become SOLDIER, he ended up with Mako Poisoning. During the healing process, Shinra turned him into a L'CIE. His childhood friend is Rem. He dual-wields drill-shaped rapiers in battle. His Eidolon is Bahamut.

Real name Claire Farron, Lightning joined SOLDIER to protect her little sister back home. She was considered a potential First Class SOLDIER until she became Mako Poisoned and turned into L'CIE, causing Shinra to employ her in Class Zero.

A young man who wants to become a hero (like everyone else who joins SOLDIER). He joined Shinra's army, using his bow and arrow to join Class Zero. Like Machina, he ended up with Mako Poisoning, turning him to a L'CIE. His Eidolon is Hecatoncheir

President Cid Aulstyne(Type-0)

Spoiler

The President of Shinra. A world renowned war general, he retired from war to lead Shinra. Though old in age, he is still quite the soldier. An even greater general, he was able to quickly attack and overwhelm Wutai. With victory on the horizon, he was surprised by the overthrow of Wutai's ruler and the arrival of a new one. Suddenly faced with Wutai's new magical army, he is forced to find a new way to defeat Wutai. He is the father of Raines. In the past, he had an affair with a Summoner woman from the Summoner country of Spira and fostered two daughters, Yuna and Garnet. During the first half of the Wutai War, a massive storm struck Spira, killing most of its citizens save for Yuna, Garnet, and few others that had traveled to other lands. Cid took his two daughters in, nicknaming them Princesses, and gave them bodyguards. He is often nicknamed President Shinra.

Yuna(FFX)

The eldest illegitimate daughter of President Aulstyne and second eldest child, Yuna was raised as a little girl in Spira. Barely surviving the storm with her younger sister, she became President Aulstyne's eldest 'Princess.' As a Summoner, she is able to summon powerful creatures to her side. Her personal style of Summoning is Aeons, creatures resembling and sharing names of actual Summons (from Materia) that appear in golden circles for brief periods of time (think Duodecim). Her personal bodyguard is Jecht, who she nicknames Sir Jecht.

Garnet(FFIX)

Spoiler

The youngest daughter and child of President Aulstyne, Garnet shares the same history that Yuna does. However, instead of Summoning Aeons, she has the ability to simply summon regular Summons without any Materia. She also (unknowingly) houses the power to summon the ultimate Eidolon, Alexander. Her bodyguard is Captain Steiner.

Kefka was the SOLDIER prototype, but the process went horribly wrong. The man became insane and brilliant as well as powerful. He used his brains to correctly fix the SOLDIER process, turn Vincent Valentine into the monster he is, turn Mako Poisoned people into L'CIE, and even brainwashed Terra. He is the father of Sephiroth (though Sephiroth doesn't know this).[/spoiiler]

Another failed experiment, this young warrior was genetically engineered to be a Summoner. The experiment failed so Kefka tried to make her into SOLDIER. It worked, but she gained immense magical power. Kefka created a Slave Crown, putting her under his control.

A Shinra infantryman who is the father of Squall (though he doesn't know this). He is skilled with guns and has a dream of being President himself. Though a lowly Infantryman, he may possibly be the best gunner they have.

Kimahri(FFX)

Years ago, Shinra had captured an Ancient named Aerith and a lion-like beast named Red XIII (real name Nanaki). Both species had strong connections to the planet and were endangered so it was decided to crossbreed them. The result was Kimahri, a lion-like humanoid. The mother, Aerith, died in child birth. Red XIII attacked Shinra, thinking the offspring was an abomination and insult to the Planet, and was killed. Kimahri has been raised in Shinra's captivity.

The son of Jecht, Tidus despises his father and hopes to overcome him. To this end, he became a Blitzball star in his own right, though he was unable to master his father's signature move. Not a part of the Shin-ra Corporation, but is a well-known person in the Shinra country.

A group opposed to Shinra's environmental activities, AVALANCHE is considered an eco-terrorist group. They bomb Shinra reactors, hoping to stop the company from killing the planet. Eventually, Cloud (and others) will join this side.

The leader of AVALANCHE who lost his arm in a Shinra-related incident. Barret leads the current incarnation of AVALANCHE against Shinra in hopes of saving the planet, though his true goal seems to be out of anger.

Snow Villiers(FFXIII)

Snow enjoyed a peaceful life fighting monsters, pretending to be a hero with his friends, until he accidentally ingested Lifestream from a Mako leak. Becoming Mako Poisoned, Shinra cured him, but turned him into a L'CIE, giving him the Eidolon Shiva. Snow helped out SeeD at first, but disgusted with Shinra, broke into an office and stole the remote controlling his L'CIE status. Becoming a master of his own fate, he hunted down AVALANCHE and joined them.

Tifa Lockhart(FFVII)

A Nibelheim native trained by the monk Zangan, Tifa joined AVALANCHE when Shinra evacuated everyone from her hometown in order to turn the town into one mega Mako Reactor to help supply energy during the war.

Young Vaan and his brother Reks had hoped to have their own airship one day and become 'sky pirates.' Reks, however, was recruited into the war and killed in battle. Out of anger at Shinra, Vaan joined AVALANCHE. Reks and Vaan were natives to Ivalice before moving after losing their parents.

Formerly a knight in Ivalice, Basch was disgraced years ago when he was caught killing the previous ruler of Ivalice. Unknown to the public, it was actually Basch's twin brother doing it under order of the current ruler. Basch fled to Shinra, but was so taken aback by what they were doing to the planet that he joined AVALANCHE.

Rygdea(FFXIII)

Spoiler

Initially a skilled infantryman from Shinra, Rygdea realized that Shinra was trying to take control over the entire planet and defected. Rygdea has a small airship with room only for him and one other, but the airship is his priced possession. It has one large gun and two smaller machine guns which he uses during battle. He joined AVALANCHE in order to stop Shinra.

Spoiler

A future descendant of Jenova who used her powers to travel back in time to aid Sephiroth's conquest of the planet. However, she traveled too far back and, realizing Sephiroth isn't the evil man that he'll become yet, she pulls strings from the shadows.

Kadaj(Advent Children)

Spoiler

Seemingly a younger version of Sephiroth, Kadaj is actually a clone of Sephiroth, made by Shinra to eventually replace Sephiroth, though the SOLDIER doesn't know this. Unlike Sephiroth, Kadaj already knows his connection to Jenova.

Wutai

A more traditional and samurai-like culture, Wutai had voiced its disapproval of Shinra's actions years before the war started. This caused tensions between Wutai and Shinra. When it was discovered decades ago that Wutai was on top of prime sources of Mako, Shinra attacked. Shinra seemed to gain the upperhand, even making the ruler of Wutai surrender. Before the surrender was complete, a man by the name of Mateus overthrew the ruler and succeeded him as Emperor,. Mateus summoned a magical army of crystallized fighters named Manikins from Hell and gave Wutai the power it needed. Despite using such dark arts, giving Wutai an edge in the war has given the Emperor lots of public support.

Wutai Army
The army of Wutai is led by Wutai's new Emperor, Mateus and his strongest knight, Garland. Initially composed of samurai, the Emperor has summoned an infinite army from the Rift (Hell in this RP).

• Emperor Mateus (FFII)*** - the new emperor of Wutai, Mateus made a 'deal with the devil' to gain magical power to fight back against Shinra. The Emperor actually has ulterior motives, having manufactured two Angels of Death and overthrew the previous ruler himself, under the premise of needing to fight back against Shinra. He opened a door to the Rift with his magical powers and summoned an army of Manikins. TAKEN (TwilightBlader)
• Garland (FFI)* Wutai's strongest knight, Garland was initially the only person able to keep his own against Sephiroth. With the new Emperor's rise to power, Garland seems to have gained dark power as well. Under the Emperor's order, Garland made two artificial beings, Kuja and Zidane, each with the task of becoming Angels of Death and slaughter lives. Garland order Kuja to destroy the Summoner country of Spira years ago while he dropped of Zidane in Ivalice. TAKEN (Shell Bullet)
• Cloud of Darkness (FFIII) - When the Emperor opened the passage to the Rift, the Cloud of Darkness came out. A dark being composed of evil, the Emperor managed to convince her (or brainwash her/it) to join his army.
• Golbez (FFIV) - Brother of Cecil, Golbez was initially brainwashed by the Emperor to fight for him. Though he isn't brainwashed anymore, Golbez still fights for the Emperor, coming to support him. However, he has his own agenda.
• Exdeath (FFV) - Another being from the Rift the Emperor freed, Exdeath is the composite of evil and malevolent souls combined in one body. He is a high general in the Emperor's army. TAKEN (Britishism)
• Kuja (FFIX) - Emperor Mateus order Garland to magically make an Angel of Death to use against any opposition. The original plan was to place Kuja in Shinra as some kind of adviser and have him tear up Shinra from the inside. However, Kuja was considered obsolete and was given the task of destroying Spira, something he did easily (though a few survived). Kuja is now a soldier in Wutai's army, with his own agenda. The second Angel of Death, Zidane, was left in Ivalice to grow up without knowing his power or origins, build up his power, and then used as a weapon. TAKEN (Shell Bullet)

Wild Rose Rebellion
Led by the previous ruler of Wutai (Judgemaster Cid), the Wild Rose Rebellion are the Wutai citizens that oppose the use of dark magic and Hell and look to overthrow the Emperor.

• Judgemaster Cid the Thunder God (Tactics/A2) - Once considered Wutai's strongest knight, "Judgemaster" Cidolfus Orlandeau was able to use the strongest magic and defeat entire squads of soldiers single-handedly and earned the name the "Thunder God." With this, he became the eventual ruler of Wutai. In the war against Shinra, he's seen many friends die, making him consider surrender. Before he could, Mateus overthrew him. Old in age now, he disapproves of the current Emperor's plan and formed a resistance called the Wild Rose Rebellion. Using his great magic, he is able to turn young again into what he calls his 'Judgemaster' form, complete with his old armor, though only for short periods of time. This Cid is a combination of T.G. Cid from Tactics and Judgemaster Cid from Tactics Advance. TAKEN (Shell Bullet)
• Firion (FFII)*- An orphan of war, Firion trained himself to fight in order to survive on his own. T.G. Cid found him and recruited him because of his great skill with weapons. TAKEN (Machina/Arch)
• Bartz (FFV) - Another orphan of war, Bartz traveled Wutai until being recruited by T.G. Cid. TAKEN (TwilightBlader)
• Manikins (Dissidia) - Beings from Hell, otherwise known as the Rift, the Manikins are composed entirely of crystal. Able to use magic and weapons, they have no set forms. The Emperor has an unlimited number of them, though he sends them out in waves instead of all at once. Unlike the Dissidia manikins, they don't take the forms of warriors.

Ivalice

The country to the north, Ivalice is nowhere near as modern as Shinra. The previous Primarch (king) was killed, supposedly by Basch, and replaced by Galenth Dysley. Dysley is struggling to strike down rebellions in his country, fearful of civil war, while dealing with the threat of the Shadow Lord. Due to the Wutai/Shinra War, the going-ons in Ivalice go unnoticed by the rest of the world.

Church of Glabados
The Church of Glabados is the ruling government in Ivalice. Unlike Shinra, which is ruled by military power and technological advances, and Wutai, ruled by a 'dynasty' of sorts and traditional values, Ivalice's government is led by its church, worshipers of a messiah named St. Ajora. The leader of the country is called Primarch.

• Galenth Dysley (FFXIII)* - The current Primarch of Ivalice, Galenth is a strong-willed old man. In actuality, he is cruel, having order Gabranth, Basch's twin brother, to kill the previous Primarch so he could take his place. What nobody knows is that Galenth's true name is Barthandelus and that he is a fal'Cie, an intelligent WEAPON given life and power from the lifestream. He ulterior motives are unknown. For this RP, fal'Cie has no connection to L'CIE, save for being powered by the Lifestream.
• Gabranth (FFXII)* - Ivalice's strongest knight and Basch's twin brother, Gabranth is a supporter and personal knight of Barthandelus, for reasons unknown. By framing his twin, Gabranth sacrificed any public life, having to hide his face under his mask so as not to be recognized. TAKEN (Machina/Arch)
• Vayne (FFXII) - The third son of the previous Primarch, it was Vayne who summoned the Shadow Lord (though the public doesn't know this). He currently serves as the head of the Ivalice army, under Gabranth and Galenth.

Zodiac Braves
Kain Highwind and Ramza Lugria are the resistance in Ivalice. Their group is searching for the truth behind the Shadow Lord and the new Primarch's ascent to the throne.

• Kain (FFIV)* - A dragoon who used to work under the previous Primarch. After the Primarch's death, he left his duty. He currently is trying to defeat the Shadow Lord's army.
• Ramza (Tactics)* - A squire of noble birth, Ramza and his brothers were part of the Beoulve family. After his father died years ago, Ramza discovered that one of his brothers had actually poisoned his father. Confronting him with his other brother, Ramza saw his murdering brother turn into a demon and kill the third brother. Ramza was able to kill the Demon, but found out the truth about Ivalice. He changed his name to Ramza Lugria after being branded a heretic by the religious government and travels Ivalice on a mission for the truth behind the Demons. TAKEN (Shell Bullet)
• Prishe (FFXI) - An Elvaan monk who travels Ivalice.

• Shadow Lord (FFXI)** - A being composed of 'negative' Lifestream, the evil Shadow Lord's history is unknown to the public, but it has an army of monsters. The Shadow Lord is currently trying to destroy Ivalice.
• Altima (Tactics)* The being responsible for the Lifestream, Altima the High Seraph is supposed to be the deity of the planet. In actually, Altima is an ancient Demon, responsible for creating Barthandelus and even the Shadow Lord. Primarch Galenth hopes to bring back Altima, through means unknown, while Vayne seems to have a different plan for Altima. Altima replaces Minerva, the Goddess/Superboss from Crisis Core. • Rydia (FFIV) - Another survivor of Spira, Rydia was a young girl who saw her mother die in the storms that destroyed Spira. She was then swept off to sea before washing up in either Wutai or Ivalice (RolePlayer's choice). Can be played as either the young version or older version (though older is preferred).
• Zidane (FFIX)* - The second Angel of Death made by Garland, Zidane was manufactured as an infant unlike Kuja, who was 'born' his current age. In order to make Zidane a more powerful weapon, Garland had left him in either Ivalice or Shinra (Player's choice) to allow Zidane to grow up, building his inner power, before using Zidane to deliver a crushing blow.
• Onion Knight (FFIII)* - A young unnamed knight nicknamed 'Onion' because of his armor. Can be played in either Wutai or Ivalice.
• Balthier (FFXII) - Can be played as either a pilot for Shinra (to go along with his sky pirate theme), a knight of Ivalice or Wutai.

I realize it may be confusing at first, but that's why this is here. If this interests you and you have any questions, ask away! If you want a character, let me know! Keep in mind that the characters above are suggestions (with *characters* being the most important suggestions) and you can pick other characters from other games (though I won't allow certain ones for different reasons). You do not have to have played any games, though it would help if you did. FF7 is preferred (but then again, the only FF games I've ever beaten are Tactics and XIII lol). Also, if you don't like where some characters are, we can move them around to fit where you think they should go.
There is an actual story that I will post later once we get a few members. Right now I'm focused on giving people the characters they want and using them in a way that works.

I would very much like to be Sephiroth but I have one question since this is crisis core will we be doing good Sephiroth who becomes evil or just straight evil because I'm guessing good into evil

Wow I think you just gave Ultimate a new name XD I was really shocked about characters that weren't included like Aerith and Yuffie How can you have Wuti without Yuffie! xD And you killed Zack <_< If it wasn't bad enough he's killed in the game but now he's killed in the roleplay xD
Anyway... I'd be happy to play Tifa but I do have a few questions. Does she still have her back story with Cloud and all that fun stuff xD
Also. Can Marlene be in the roleplay? If so I'd happily play as her :)

I would prefer if you didn't take both sisters since they'll interact a lot, most likely, and that'd be somewhat boring. Pick one of them (Garnet's the best choice if you're picking Jecht. Playing the guard and guardee both yourself might also be boring).

Trust me, we thought long and hard about who to include and some people had to be cut. You can have Tifa, who'll be Cloud's childhood friend, but everything up to him joining SOLDIER hasn't even happened yet.
For now, they'll be no Marlene. We're trying to keep it to characters important to the stories. Don't get me wrong, Marlene will still exist, but there's no reason to have somebody actively playing her.

Hmmm, let's leave it at no for now. Unlike the game, Cloud actually is SOLDIER this time. But I think Cloud would rather surprise Tifa with the news.

As we're starting, I'll be working out details with everyone about their characters to give each one a decent backstory as faithful to the games as possible, but edited to fit here. For villains, I will privately work out their master plans~

@Protector, yeah, Zidane's yours. If you read Garland's, Kuja's, and I think the Emperor's short bios, it'll tell you about Zidane being an Angel of Death dropped off in one of the other countries. You get to pick which and which organization to put him in.
Guys, sorry for a slight absence. I got caught up with school duties and got told some bad news regarding family, putting me in a tough situation. Hence, I haven't been on much and haven't been doing much when I got on (not jsut here, but my other RPs). Anyway, I'll get back into full swing when I can. Seymour Guado(FFX)

Seymour Guado was born to one of the last remaining Ancients and a Summoner in Spira. Being half Ancient and half Summoner, Seymour was a special case when it came to his heritage. His father had left both Seymour and his mother in Spira and left to find the "Promised Land." At the end of the first half of the Wutai/Shinra War, a storm ravished Spira, destroying most of its inhabitants. Seymour's mother gave her life to protect her son. When President Aulystine came to find his illegitimate daughters, Seymour begged to join Shinra. President Aulystine made him SOLDIER and kept his Summoner heritage secret (not knowing about Seymour's other half) and allows Seymour to be the only SOLDIER who doesn't use a sword, relying on magic and staff instead. Seymour serves as Shinra's ambassador. He was the one who convinced Judgemaster Cid of Wutai to surrender, though the Emperor's quick rise to power stopped the war from ending.

Sephiroth(FFVII)

The first and strongest SOLDIER, Sephiroth was born to Kefka and Lucrecia Crescent as a product of the Jenova Project. Injecting cells from an extra-terrestrial entity called Jenova (mistaken to be one of the Ancients) into the pregnant Lucrecia's womb created a super human. Shinra took in Sephiroth and raised him as their personal warrior, telling him nothing of his parents except that his mother's name was "Jenova." As the strongest SOLDIER, Sephiroth is called upon by President Aulystine more than the other SOLDIERs.
Sephiroth wields the great blade Masumune.

Auron(FFX)

As a young monk, Auron was recruited by President Aulystine as an early subject for SOLDIER. A great success, Auron became one of the Elite, usually tasked with training promising new SOLDIERs. One of the three strongest SOLDIERs, Auron trained a promising recruit named Zack Fair during the first half of the Wutai/Shinra War. He entrusted his Buster Sword to Zack upon Zack becoming First Class out of pride towards his student. It was only a matter of time until Emperor Mateus gained power and Zack was killed by an army of Manikins, leaving only Cloud Strife and the Buster Sword.
Auron tends to use a katana in battle.

Cloud Strife(FFVII)

Cloud Strife wanted nothing more than to be the friend of his neighbor Tifa Lockhart growing up. After an incident where Tifa was injured and Cloud was blamed, he promised to become SOLDIER First Class, inspired by Sephiroth, and protect Tifa whenever she needed him. Unfortunately, he only became a Shinry Infantryman. However, on a mission where he accompanied SOLDIER First Class Zack Fair, he showed great skill with a sword and became great friends with Zack. Zack gave Cloud a recommendation for SOLDIER and Cloud barely made it to Second Class. During a mission, Zack and Cloud were ambushed an army of Manikins. Cloud was soon overcome and knocked out so Zack saved him. While Cloud was unconscious, Zack took on most of the Manikins by himself. When Cloud awoke, Zack laid dying. He told Cloud to live on for the both of them and gave Cloud his Buster Sword before dying.

Rem Tokimiya(Type-0)

Rem Tokimiya is the youngest and newest SOLDIER. Third Class, she aspired to join along with her childhood friend, Machina Kunagiri. During the process, Machina was doused with too much Mako and became a L'CIE. Rem wields a pair of twin daggers in battle.

Jecht(FFX)

A world-renowned blitzball player, Jecht is the father of Tidus, another blitzball player. After perfecting his famous Jecht Shot, Jecht started hearing talk about him needing to retire. Ranting on about still being the best, Jecht started drinking and was eventually arrested. President Aulystine himself freed Jecht with the condition of Jecht undergoing special SOLDIER testing. Jecht became not just a SOLDIER, but the ability to transform into a 'Special Form'. President Aulystine then entrusted Jecht to be Yuna's official guardian.

Adelbert Steiner(FFIX)

Captain Adelbert Steiner was once leader of the Knights of Pluto, Shinra's elite soldiers before SOLDIER and SeeD was founded. The Knights were disbanded when President Aulystine came into power and formed SOLDIER. However, the President eventually offered Steiner a job as SOLDIER, along with a special set of high tech armor that can shift form to triple his power, if Steiner would be the personal bodyguard of Garnet. Steiner obliged.
Steiner's sword was made with Materia, giving him the ability to charge it with elemental power. His armor can also shift forms for a short amount of time to triple his strength.

It's not a problem him being in SOLDIER as long as you can justify it.

 

To go with what Bushy said, why SOLDIER? If he was in Shinra's land, he'd most likely be AVALANCHE (which would also go along with a plot point I have >>), but if you really want SOLDIER, that's fine. Though he'd be Third Class. We have too many First Classes already.
