The Orphanage

"Hear what?" Legend asked the two, looking around. It worried her; what if some other Melodic had found them? A guard, maybe?

 

Aly shook her head. "It sounded like....nails on a chalkboard. Or screaming...." she tried to stop zoning out, and focusing on the plan. She walked over to the key man and stole said keys out of his hand. "Mine now."

 

She narrowed her eyes, clenching her hands. "Don't test me." She loooked out the door, her eyes watchful now. "Which way? Eva?"

The bird took off, its leg hanging odd. She fluttered down one hallway, then chirped.

"Here we go." Aly muttered, then eased herself out of the room and slowly followed her sister.

 

"Hey, are you two twins?" Legend asked, following the older girl. They sure looked alike... when Eva wasn't in her bird form, of course.

 

Aly smiled grimly. "Something of the like." she murmured, looking around another corner. "Eva where the hell are you going?"

Eva bird chirped, then headed down a set of stairs, her small chirpings echoing up the staircase.

 

Legend ran after the small bird, releasing some of the energy she had built up being locked up in her cell for so long. She looked back at the group, then to the bird down the staircase in front of her, and let out a brief, childlike giggle. It'd been so long since she was actually able to run like she supposed most children got to; most children weren't locked up in cells like she was, after all.​

 

Ren continued to walk until he reached the directors office. He went up to the door and knocked on it and awaited a response

 

"come in." Replied a stern voice.

 

Ren opened the door and walked in "Sir I have come here for a request" Ren said staying calm as always

 

"you should have waited until you had finished your job."

The director was staring at his monitors. All of them were trashed. Such things didn't bode well with him in at a time like this.

 

"My apologies but Is it alright if I make my request now?" Ren said still sound calm

 

"Very well, what is it?"

 

"I would like to enlist the girl known as Elevir as a guard" Ren said

 

"Do a good job and then we will discuss it. You are getting slower at following orders Ren. Is there a problem?"

 

"no ther is nothing wrong. I shall continue to work" Ren said

IC:// Elevir stood by the doorway modestly. The same man that was threatening to kill her... and she'd held a knife to his wrist, threatening him back; the same person who killed her father, yet not his own son, who'd murdered dozens, albeit accidentally... she was to work for him. What a surprise....

 

The director swiveled around in his chair and turned to see who Ren was talking about. He froze when he saw who it was. It was that girl from before.

 

Elevir tilted her head to one side ever-so-slightly, seeing the director freeze at the sight of her. A wisp of a smile appeared, but was gone just as fast.
"Hello, Director,"

 

"You..."
The director paused, trying to think up a proper way to speak his mind.

"You are that child that dosed my son. Thank you."
