The Orphanage

OOC: Yay! New peoples!

BIC: Eva sighed again, sitting up. "How long have we been here?" she asked. "I mean, I don't think we can be patient much longer, really."

Aly grinned. "Only about an hour, and I agree. We should act now. At least we would die trying. Maybe even die heroically. I mean, God forbid, there would be any easy part about escaping..."

 

Kaylee opened her eyes slowly, blinking before her vision came back into focus. She looked around nervously, raising an eyebrow and biting down on her bottom lip, wondering where she was.

"Mmph."

 

Aly looked over. "Oh look, the kids are awake." she rolled her eyes. Looked like they might be an item too. She went over to the girl. "Get the hell up."

 

She gave a childlike smile.
"I can, too!"

Seconds later however, she heard a screech echo through the halls, and through her mind.
Afterward, she could hear Rek, the older boy from earlier.
'Don't they have any running water here?' he thought.
Of course they don't, Elevir responded in her own mind, this castle is centuries old...

She would have told the man next to her, but if he was as skilled as she, he would already know. The girl wanted to know if he was.


OOC:// I want to make a couple new characters, if it's okay. Can I?

 

Wulfric had been reading them for hours. These Gifts, whoever they were, seemed different to the others. Instead of the usual empty, depressed minds, they had courage and belief in one another, and weren't afraid to try for feelings that had seemed forbidden for such a long time. Wulfric didn't need to use his reader gift to sense the need for freedom in their minds, he felt it strongly himself. But these people were, in a way, already free. Their minds were no longer so clouded, they had... hope.

There was so much emotion in their minds... Wulfric couldn't resist sensing them all as he lay in his room.

Uhh are you all in one room, or are Larz and Rek in a different one?

 

He quickly jumped up, a fireball appearing in his hand. Uh.....Is there any way I could get some warm water...? Or bandages...? Rek knew it was a reader somewhere, but it didn't make his first time talking to one like this any less creepy.

OOC: It looks like Larz and Rek were in a different room with Elevir, though Elevir left with Ren

 

Ren looked at Elevir and did something he rarely ever since he joined the orphanage. The thing he did was smile. "you should be proud to have mastered this amount of reading at a young age" Ren said

Seth sat there still knocked out due to the tranquilizer

 

Oh, crap! Elevir thought, That was telepathic...

I don't know, she replied, maybe you could get some water from the Dinner Hall?

"Thank you," Elevir spoke modestly, "but I wouldn't say I've mastered it."

Also everyone in this RP should listen to "I'm Alive" by Disturbed. It so fits this story.

 

It couldn't hurt to just look. Wulfric wanted to see who these people were, to see the faces that went with the emotions. They'd been silent for an hour, but now he recognised that flood of reality entering their minds, the shocking calm of waking up.

But not as shocking as their minds had been before they went to sleep. These people had been in danger, they were maybe even dangerous themselves. I hope I'm not making a mistake...

Um....If you haven't noticed, we're locked in here....Maybe as kyour new guard friend? He looked around the room for anything that could be used as a bandage.

 

The Gift's minds stood out, so they weren't hard to find. Three guards waited outside their room. Maybe proof they were dangerous people. But Wulfric knew they weren't evil, they only wanted freedom.

Wulfric watched the guards from a corner leading into their corridor, while he tried to make a decision. What should I do? Help? But what can I do? He couldn't fight.. I guess I can get them away from the corridor. He could distract the guards, try to help these Gifts.

Kaylee winces and looked up at the girl, confusion in her eyes and she gazed around once more and bit down on her bottom lip.

"Wh-what's happening?" She asked Aly, trembling a bit in the cold.

 

Aly sighed. "We all got tranqued and stuffed in here. You are going to help us escape."She tugged on the girl's arm hard, hard enough to make her go flying if she hadn' kept a grip on her.
