The Orphanage

Eva slowly opened her eyes, wincing at the bright light. She was chained to something....some kind of generator. Her head throbbed, and her side was crusty with dried blood. She looked around, trying to clear her head.

 

"then make fast make fast. say you made it to two.

Say what? Sam twitched again and groaned softly, he didn't know what to do.

 

Sasuke walked around he knew the others had to be close.

Eva blinked again. She couldn't understand this. Tie her up and leave her here? It made no sense. Just then a guard came in, the usual sadistic smile on his face.

 

Sam scrambled to his feet, moving painfully out of the darkness and looking up at the Director.

"T-two, sir, two!" He groaned between sobs.

 

"What? I see, the last one made it to four. I guess you didn't see my son."

 

"Your son...? No, sir, I didnt." Sam was feeling very light now, breathing slowly.

 

"I...I apologize for this. Your see there are 7 marks in there. the deeper you go, the stronger the stink of madness. My son is at the very back of 7. The manic of manics. the one that is manifest of all I want to destroy. The one who murdered my wife."

The director clenched his fists so hard blood began to drip on the ground.

 

The guy pressed a button, and Eva screamed as 2500 bolts of electricity coursed through her body.

 

Sam nodded, still frightened and stared at the Director's clenched hands. His breathing returned to normal and his head started to clear.

"He ki-killed your wife?" Sam asked breathlessly. His glasses began to fall down again so he pushed them up and sighed. "I'm so-sorry, sir." Part of him wanted to quit right there.

Kaylee sighed and faced Scott again. "Maybe this isn't such a good idea." She murmured, looking around. "We'll be caught now. Every one's going to the Dinner Hall. Maybe we should go there first." She murmured. Her confidence was dropping again.

"Yeah. We should eat." She quickly began walking towards the Dinner Hall, passing Elevir as she did so. Scott had tried, but she still felt utterly worthless.

Christina stopped for a moment, eyeing the group suspiciously. Why were they all together? Why was there hope on their faces? There was discussing something. There wasn't supposed to be any discussion! Christina's flawless face flushed again and she almost growled. Things were not in order. Instead of approaching the group, she picked up a pager and began to page several Guards to the area.

Just try me.

 

Eva screamed again, until the electricity stopped coming. Her head hung low, surrounded by her hair. She breathed heavily, spitting out blood.

 

"I apologize for what I did. I just want to see if he is ok. Let's put it out of your mind. I promised you a raise didn't I? How does three times your pay sound?"

 

Three times my pay...?

Sam quickly composed himself with a wide grin on his face.

"Rea-really, sir?" He asked.

 

"It is the least I can do. You are being promoted afterall."

 

Sam resisted the urge to fall on his knees in gratitude. He grinned.

"Thank you, so much, sir!" He cried out.
