*Bio: Born in a rich, powerful family, Christina was a member of the Elite Guard. Back when The O R P H A N A G E project began, Christina was brought in for a special, modified cleansing. She passed and was brought in to serve under her Father's command. She is in charge of a small portion of the Elite Guards, and has set up a number of spies in the facility.

The director sat at his desk filling out paperwork. 50 more gifts were admitted and 10 were executed, cleansing had increased in success by 5%. Maybe his research might come a reality.

 

As she walked, Kaylee slowly looked at those slightly behind her. She paused and then shook her head again. She didn't know what to think. Where these friends? Aquantinces? Or just wanna-be prison breaks? Looking back down at the floor she bit her lip. She wouldn't think too much about it. No matter what, no matter how, they had to get out and she would do nearly anything to see it happen. To see the sunlight and to feel it's warmth. To take in the sweet scent of Spring. And to keep warm through the bitter cold of Winter. She would do anything, give anything to see if her brother Andrew had survived his punishment that night. To see if love existed outside of these walls. True love. A family, maybe. Oh, how she wanted a family. These thoughts flew through her mind, her heart racing with excitment. She wanted to live. She was going to live.

Christina sighed, her bright eyes flashing down at the paperwork before her. Why did they even register these brats? They would all be dead not long before then, anyways. Her fists clenched before she slowly began to calm down.

"Ms. LeVaun...?" A meek voice called for her behind the door and a soft knock followed. Perhaps it was the tea she had requested. Christina stood, straightening out her skirt and making it halfway to the door before her cell phone rung. She let out a curse and answered quickly.

"Christina, we have a problem. One of the Gifts are resisting during the Cleansing. They should've been knocked out by now." One of the Guards spoke on the other end of the phone. She huffed.

"Well, tell the director, not me." She hung the phone up and went to the door, opening it to find that a stack of paper had been left there with no one watching it. "Damn it all." She picked up the stack and placed it on the third chair to be pulled beside her messy desk. She sat again and went back to work.

 

a knock came at the director's door

"Who is it?"

a timid voice responed.

"s-sir, a cleansing is failing, we need your help."

holstering his gun, the director walked out the door and met the young cadet

"take me to it"

 

To her dismay, the phone rang shortly after. The loud sound granted her with a headache and she groaned, popping a couple of Tylenol quickly and answering the phone again.

"What. Is. It." She stated. This fool didn't deserve her words. How was she supposed to get any work done if people kept bothering her? And the director would have her ass if she didn't finish by Monday.

"The director is on his way...W-would you please come to-too? We need to know what went wron--"

"Then get the damn scientists on it!" She yelled at the poor man. She plopped down in her chair and growled. "I have things to do. Now, unless the Director comes and asks me to go there myself, I will be here finishing my work. Goodbye." With that, she hung up and picked up a small pen, beginning to work once more.

 

What was wrong with this novice? all he needed to do was bring him to the cleansing facility. he didn't need to called that girl to hold his hand.

Eva slowly shifted back to panther, and moved into the shadows, blending with them. She walked down the hallway, her eyes narrowed. She sensed an enemy was near...

 

Kaylee slowed down a little, taking Scott's words to heart. Would they be? She knew of people who had tried to escape. It never ended well, for anyone. Guards were killed as well as the Gifts in a later, much more brutal punishing. Would they be free? And what did freedom truly entail? More suffering. That's what her brother had told her. Yet, she didn't think so. She pushed forward.

"Is anyone hungry...?" She asked softly. She didn't know why she was procrasinating. She was afraid, maybe. And afraid she should be.

The cadet hung up his phone shakily, sliding it into his pocket and looking down at the ground shyly as he turned to face the director. He was obviously new and he was young. Much shorter than the director, he stood at almost half his height, deep blue eyes glistening with what seemed to be tears.

"Let's g-go, sir." He nodded and lead the Director outside of the Orphanage, walking down a soggy path of mud, his boots already covered in it by his second step. He walked deep into the forest, the rain pouring down through the trees as he did so.

Stopping at a building, the soldier took a deep breath. "Here we are, sir."





Meanwhile, Christina stood from her work. She crossed her arms and moved her hair back with the back of her wrist. It was feeding time. Those who had not yet been let out of their locked cells to eat was to do so now. She shrugged her shoulders and grabbed her keys, walking out of the room and down a long, dark hallway. She stopped at Elevir's cell with a smirk.

"Have you eaten yet, girl? And don't lie, I haven't the time." She groaned. She didn't even notice Larz.

 

The director put his hand on the identification grid. at the device's approval, the door opened up the a dimly lit room.
Impatiently, Professor kendrith waited for the underling to switch on the light.

 

Eva watched two guards come out of a room. Smelling the air, she whimpered, pulling back. They had just killed someone, blood stained the air. She slowly growled, creeping forward. She would make them pay.

 

Elevir lifted her head, almost unsteadily. Her eyes opened so she could see who had asked the question of her, not that she needed to. The commanding voice informed her that the voice was surely not of an Orphan.
"I haven't," she replied simply.​

 

Seth looked at Kaylee "thinking about what would happen if we were to try and escape arent you" Seth said

Ren began to walk past different cells. Despite the fact that he is mostly quiet at times Ren is one of the most frightning guard out of all of them. Gifts and even the guards would be terrified when he comes around.

 

The soldier stumbled through the darkness before nervously flipping on the lights. The were in an office.

"Where we-we cleanse is this way, sir." He lead the director into a long hallway with several doors on each side. Each door had a small window. Inside was a single Gift, strapped to a bed in an all white room. There were doctors and scientists hovering over them, needles and syringes in hand. Others were holding contacts for eyes, chainsaws even to cruels cut off a gifts wings. All throughout the hallway you could hear moans and screams of fear and agony.

Even the shy, meek soldier seemed unaffected. There were several hallways like this on several levels of the building.

Christina unlocked the cell, staring into the girls eyes silently before moving back to let a guard pass. The guard seemed hesitant and looked at Christina for a moment, unsure of what to do.

"Go on, then." Christina ordered him, turning away and crossing her arms. The guard removed his glasses and stared deeply into Elevir's eyes. He began searching her mind for any lies, drilling her hard with his stare and piercing the very core of her mind, digging and digging. For some reason, it was hard to hurt this girl. Maybe because of her age. He continued before pulling back and reporting to Christina.

"She's not lying."

Christina nodded. "Go eat." She then moved away from the cell to check others.

Kaylee nodded to Seth, worry in her eyes. She slowed again and stared up at him quietly before turning to face Scott.

"I am, very nervous." She had started to shake, her eyes widening and shimmering a bit with tears. She had tried to be brave but the fear was getting to her, eating her alive.
