The Night Shift

Vampires are a race dating back to ancient times. These creatures where mostly those who where once human but became a Nightwalker, as they soon became to be known. Slayers started appearing all over the land as Nightwalkers would kill and feed. Not all vampires where evil and murderous, some resorted to animals while some settled to feeding on humans. The hunger and their mental control would be different for each one. After a while a Nightwalker who has seen his entire un-life taken from him as his family, friends and allies where slaughtered. His entire out look on life changed, he became ferocious and killed Slayers and humans as his un-just vengeance.

After travelling after the ones who did this to him he encountered others with the same ideals as him and some much worse. He formed a small group of Slayer-Slayers called the Night Shift. Any who got in their path was destroyed.

5 years later a rumour of knights known as a Paladins appeared, warriors who could kill the undead with ease. The Night Shift became restless and attacked the Paladins but failed drastically. Knocking their leader into a near death state and labelled him slain.

Sometime later the leader awoke in a tomb, his tomb. All alone he made his way past the evil spirits that tried to stop him from exiting and out into the night. He had returned from the dead to the vampires that still existed and became somewhat of a legend. He disguised his name and noticed how his appearances has changed, he was better built and his hair was much longer. He took on the new name Kain.

He learned that his people where now fearing for their lives, hiding in the shadows and feeding in silence. Also what was news to him was that there where betrayers to the vampire race who worked along side the Paladins. He knew what he must do, he would help the vampire race become what it once was and more. The vampires from his past where almost all gone, he was the only one who could free his kind from the gigantic walls in which not only them but other races such as Were’s where trapped.
He would start a new generation of the Night Shift.


Races

Humans: Humans are the largest race. They can be many things from cunning to dangerous. They tend to use technology to their advantage. They have no extra ordinary abilities or magic.

Witches/Warlocks: Witches and Warlocks are a race much like humans but they live longer. They learned the way of magic from their lineage and become sufficient in a chosen form of magic.

Paladins: Humans who had taken up holy weapons, artefacts and armour. They stood up for their race and are not afraid to kill anything not living. They are proficient with white magic.

Demons: A race of multiple forms and abilities. These creatures suddenly appeared years ago. The lesser demons are lacking in intelligence and are easily manipulated by middle class or higher demons. Middle class demons are demons with a similar strength to a vampire but they appear like humans or something similar. Greater demons are unknown as of yet and rarely leave the underworld.

Vampires: Like humans but much paler and with different eye colours. Vampires are much stronger, faster, have better senses and jumping ability than humans making them physically stronger. They also have an ability based upon their bloodline. They have an allergy to garlic which prevents them from nearing it, they also have an allergy against large bodies of water and holy water. They can be killed by being pierced through the heart.

Were: A were is a human cursed into turning into a beast. They can turn into a beast in an act of rage or when there is a full moon they will uncontrollably change. While a beast they gain qualities similar to a the animal the form is related to. They are allergic to silver and can only be killed if there head is cut off or their heart is pierced by silver. Weres are also naturally stronger than vampires. Some of there animal traits show when in their human form.


Magic types (not for vampires)
White: The magic of healers. Also able to hurt the undead.
Black: Magic made to hurt others, the caster will only be able to perform limited types of spells based on what type. E.g. fire.
Green: The magic of protection and defence. Used to defend others from numerous things with barriers.
Time: The magic of time. It is rare that anyone would have this form of magic as it is considered dangerous.
Necromancy: The magic of raising the undead and cursing.
Druid: The magic of nature, the ability to change into and talk to animals.


Vampire bloodline traits (these are not uber powerful people)
Pyrokinesis: The ability to create flames with the power of the mind. This skill takes a lot of concentration.
Charm: The ability to charm others into doing the users will. This skill can manipulate the weak of mind easily but only works on intelligent beings.
Berserk: The ability to move quickly for period of time allowing them to attack a lot in a short amount of time or flee easily.
Telekinesis: The ability to move object with the mind and extend their reach further than arm distance.
Mist From: The ability to fade into a form much like mist and sneak upon enemies or pray. This skill is ineffective if you are less than arms reach away from the enemies eyes. This skill can only be done when in areas full of mist but older generations can use this skill regardless.
Animorphing: The ability to turn into a bat or other vampiric creature.
Fury: Every vampire can use this skill. It is the ability to enable a greater use of strength for a single moment. This is usually applied into a single attack.


Rules!
1. No godmodding, no power playing or otherwise at all, I will only warn you once.
2. Semi-literate posts only, have them more than two lines at least and no *’s
3. Preview posts must be done by everyone, if you don’t fit the standards I expect a Rper to be I will not accept you, I also reserve the right to drop you from the RP at anytime if you drop from the standard for too long.
4. No changing weather or land, that would fall under godmodding and power playing and ****ing with the story.
5. ONE WARNING ONLY THEN YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
6. No adding or changing characters after its been accepted.
7. Keep up with the pace, I will not keep repeating recaps. If you are not keeping up you will be dropped from the RP.
8. I won’t take no ****, if you hassle me or anyone else or there is a problem I will drop you. If arguing happens I will drop everyone who is arguing or I will just close the thread.
9. Complete the character sheet fully, if you are taking an existing character I will ask you to still do a preview post.
10. If you’ve gotten this far put Spider-Fayt in your post.
11. No killing without permission
12. No using abilities vampires have that aren’t listed in the race/class list.

Personality: Quick to act, shows signs of great wisdom, calm. In battle he range to fierce to defensive depending on why he's fighting. He likes to mess with his "baby" brother Holden although he's always looking out for him.
History: Leo's father trained him in the arts of combat ever since he could wield a blade. Although he never had it in his blood to use magic, his father taugh him enough to give him a basic understanding if he ever fought an opponent that used magic, which is exactly what he was trained for. His father settled far away from the most of civilization in order to keep his son from distractions.

Personality: Holden is sometimes slow to act, finding it somewhat hard to think in tight situations. He's somewhat immature at times and gets himself into trouble. Although he likes to be the hero, he tends to bite off more than he can chew and has to be saved by his older brother.
History: When he first showed signs of being able to use magic, his father immediately trained him to be a Paladin. Although he didn't recieve as much physical training as his brother he still became quite a swordsman. Holden has the potential to be a powerful Paladin but once he grew old enough, he persuaded his brother to go on constant trips with him to nearby cities, wanting something more in life. Eventually they found that with their combined talents, they could make a living off of slaying any creatures that plagued the towns and traveled around, getting money for every beast they killed.

Holden glanced over at his brother, lifting a hand and scratching the back of his head. The moonlight shone off his black hair, giving it a ghostly glow. "Hey." He said in a whisper towards Leo.
"Yeah." Leo shifted around, grasping the handle of the blade on his back.
"How much do ya think we'll get?" Holden asked eagerly.
"I dunno. Just relax and-here it comes!" The two had their backs against a building, they crouched down slightly as Holden peeked around the corner to see two tall figures approaching.
"Vampires." Holden muttered, drawing his own sword out of its sheath by an inch. "One...two..."
"Three!" They shouted in unison, unsheathing their blades and charging head on at the two vampires.

And you'll have to change your character a bit, I can't let in a human who becomes a vampire in also you'll have to change your characters history it's too plain and everyone is heavily involved with the paladins and vampires since its meant to be on the street everyday.

Added XD, I'll start in a minute

EDIT: Just a quick note, the vampires are all on somesort of hit list for Paladins so they can't blend in when Paladins are around.

IC: Kain walked down the streets under his hooded satire. He sought blood for the night, his strength ever strong yet his hunger draining him of life. He would have to feed each night until he regained his rightful diet from before. He kept close to a human market, he seemed equally human and was not wanted by the Paladins unlike other vampires. He followed a woman into a dark alley without her noticing thanks to his ability and relieved her of her blood and life. Quickly, he resumed his pace as he left the alley wiping the blodo from his mouth as he headed to the vampire sanctuary, a underground facility located underneath a pub.

 

Abbie walked through the city... The rain was letting up, and it made it harder for her to see. Before she knew it... She bumped into walls, unable to see the movement and hear any sounds. She tried looking around for anything, and it scared her.. Night was usually the best time she could see.
