    The Story
    San Francisco. Hong Kong. Nepal. London. No matter where you go, you won’t see them; not unless you already know. Oh, you don’t? Well let me explain.

    Humans have been protected for years by the Nephilim, angels that descended from heaven. And no, they don’t have wings. They’ve been half human for centuries. The Nephilim, or Shadow Hunters, as they came to be called, stalk the streets at night, looking for those that prey upon the humans. And when they find them, it isn’t pretty.

    But there aren’t just fallen angels that walk the streets, looking out for you. Oh no, everything you could think of, from warlocks to witches to werewolves walks this earth, and while most ignore or even cater to the humans, some look for a little excitement, for a hunt.

    Downworlders, as they’re called, don’t have it easy. They have to follow the rules the Shadow Hunters have set, avoid the Nephilim’s attention, and pray for mercy if they fail. They don’t have the privileged life of the Shadow Hunters, and some like that just fine. Others don’t.

    Right now, it’s been pretty good. Peaceful, even. But that’s all about to change. Because someone just took one of the Mortal Instruments. The only thing helping us keep the balance. Now everyone is looking for it, trying to find it. Because whoever holds the Mortal Cup, holds the power to change the balance of power in the world.

    So, are you going to help us find it? Restore things to what they once were? Or will you look for it to keep for yourself, and hold power over men and angels? Or perhaps, you just don’t care. Perhaps you’ll sit by, and watch to see who wins. What will you do?

    Races


    Nephilim, also known as the Shadow Hunters. Half human, half angel. They are the only ones able to put runes on their skin, and carrythem without dying. The Nephilim have watched the mortal realm for centuries, appointed by the angel Raziel to control and preside over the demons and Downworlders. They can’t perform any magic besides the runes, and look relatively human. They have faster speed, more resilient bodies, and the skill to sense demons, in whatever form they come. Despite their enhanced abilities, they are still mortal, and susceptible to anything a human would be.


    Warlocks are also called Lilith’s children, warlocks are the offspring of a demon and a human. This isn’t usually a pleasant occurrence for the humans. Each warlock has a trait that marks them as inhuman. This could be bat wings, cat eyes, a lizard tail, furry skin, anything you can imagine. They are also sterile. Most warlocks are born with the inherent skill to use magic. Those that are not, are ifrits, and have no magical powers. Warlocks are immune to most known diseases, and are immortal. They are weak to holy water (which has to have been blessed in a church), and rowan wood.


    Vampires are a
    lso called Children of the Night, vampires were once human, and have been infected with a demon disease. They are immortal, appear pale, and cry blood instead of tears. In order to become a vampire, you would be bitten by another, who would become your sire. When the sire is killed or dies, all vampires created by that one can feel pain. Vampires are also sterile, and cannot be tracked by any magic. They have heightened speed, strength, and accelerated healing abilities. As they grow older, they become stronger. They are weak to sunlight, fire, and holy water. They can use encanto, an ability that can mesmerize humans and Nephilim in order to compel them.


    Werewolves are Children of the Moon, werewolves are humans infected with a demon disease that allows them to Change. Under the light of the full moon, the Change is forced, but as they grow into their powers, they learn to Change at will. Werewolves possess enhanced speed and senses, especially when they’re Changed. Their wolf jaws are powerful enough to bite through a chain link fence, but they keep their human eye color during their time as a wolf. Werewolves are mortal, and weak to silver. New werewolves are created by a wolf biting a human. The wolf is responsible for their newly created child.


    Fairies, or the Fair Folk, are suspected to be the offspring of both demons and angels, carrying the maliciousness of the former and the ethereal beauty of the later. They possess human souls, but are immortal and have few physical weaknesses. They are unable to lie, but find many ways to manipulate this and use it to trick Downworlder and Nephilim alike. They enjoy making bargains, with offerings that come at a terrible, unsaid price, and are weak to iron and salt. They have a true name that they guard very closely, the knowledge of which gives great power over the one who uses it.


    Demons are malevolent beings that can travel between worlds and destroy everything they touch. When they are killed, they return to the Void, waiting for their turn to be let out again. Demons are weak to any physical damage, but also to the runes placed upon the Nephilim’s blades. There are too many species to keep count, so if you desire to be a demon, it is up to you to choose the type.

    The Socierty

    There are four Kings and Queens of the Shadow Society. Should one fall, and none appropriate take the highest place of society, the most appropriate sovereign of a different race will intercede as substitute for the time being. Each new King or Queen, however they are elected by their people, must also be accepted by the other three.

    Titania is the Seelie Queen, and wields power over every fey creature, from mermaids to imps satyrs. She did not come to her throne in the traditional sense, and is as feared as she is respected. Her rule has been in place for over a thousand years.

    Yuri Sckolov is the Vampire King, and thus rules every creature that falls into the blood-drinking, undead variety. There are rumors this at one time included zombies, but if it's true, the vampires aren't telling. Yuri took power from the previous Queen by murdering her, as is appropriate by vampire standards. He is just, but quick to render punishment, and he's not afraid to dirty his hands to keep his people safe. Yuri has been sovereign for eight hundred years.

    Hestia Sunspoke is the High Warlock, holding court over all the warlocks and ifrit alive. She was voted into her position of power after the previous ruler decided to retire. She is kind and patient, and is the most willing of the Ruling Four to do other species favors; though they do have a price, seen or not. Though she is much older, Hestia has only ruled for the last one hundred years.


    The Alpha of New York is currently contested by three individuals;

    1. Grayson Keller - A vicious born werewolf who leads through cruelty and fear. He is the killer of the Alpha, and under his brief tenure the Pack became monsters that would hunt anything.
    2. Rhett Alban - One of the turned werewolves, Rhett has long served the warlock Ash as repayment for certain deeds. It is only recently he took interest in uniting the wolves of New York to save them from slow annihilation.
    3. Felicia Blackwolf - A turned werewolf who was kept from society for most of her life. Only after she killed her master was she allowed freedom, and the chance to seek more power. Her future ambitions include changing the laws of the Pack.
    If no decision is come to, the Three Rulers will decide upon the victor, or methods that can be used to achieve victory.

    The Accords

    The Accords are rules for the Shadow world that have been in place for the last three hundred years. Negotiated between the Nephilim and the Downworlders, the Accords will be simplified below. The full link is here .


    1. Downworlders are beings with souls, and have the right to a fair trial, protections as human beings, and are able to adopt human children.
    2. The Nephilim will serve as the governing force of the Shadow World, though Downworlders are required to govern their own kind, unless the problem warrants Nephilim intervention.
    3. Warlocks are allowed to perform demon magic, especially when helping a Nephilim.
    4. Both Downworlders and Nephilim are forbidden from revealing the nature of the Shadow World to mundanes, unless in the direst and most absolute of circumstances.
    5. (Redundant of #2), Downworlders have the right to govern their own affairs internally, without the interference or oversight of other races. (The vampire/werewolf feud stays between them, etc.
    6. Any Downworlder or Nephilim who breaks the Accords without just cause and reasoning is considered rogue, and thus void of any of the protections.

    Runes
    Because there are too many runes to name, they will only be called by the abilities they give. Each rune can only bestow one ability; Agility, Healing, Binding, etc. Only Nephilim can bestow runes upon themselves, and only four at a time. Runes will last for twelve hours at a time before they must be remarked. There will be exceptions to these rules as permitted by me.

    Rules for the Mundanes
    (Finally, I know)

    1. You can have as many characters as you can keep up with.
    2. At the moment, this will be story driven. I’m working on a way to add missions. You don’t need to complete the story to be involved.
    3. If you’re going to do something that could dramatically alter anything, please run it by me first.
    4. This is combined with rule #11. There will be certain situations, approved/created by me as the RP owner, that involve inevitable death. When this is not the case, please have the owner's permission to maim and otherwise murder their characters.
    5. No godmodding. Please and thank you.
    6. If you can't keep up with the RP, please notify me and don't leave other participants waiting for a reply for weeks.
    7. Keep it appropriate by KHV rules.
    8. I am going to ask a commitment of posting twice a week for each character. If you are involved in the story and will be gone, please let me know in whatever way you can.
    9. In order to keep the RP somewhat in tandem with the original story, it is forbidden for any of the races to kill each other, unless sanctioned by the Clave. This doesn't mean you can't, it just means if you choose to do so, there are dire consequences. Like being burned alive.
    10. No human characters. I may change my mind on this one with just cause. You can create temporary NPCs for your post, but if you kill any humans you will become a target for your own race and the Nephilim.
    11. Besides the use of magic and magical creatures, this RP is to be as realistic as possible. That means no bullsh*t escapes from bad situations, no deus ex machina unless approved by me. Expect consequences for your actions. This is combined with rule #4. Any such inevitable death situations will be run by me first.

    Backstory: Morrigan has served as an informant for the Seelie Court for centuries with her parents and brother. She used to find human, and Downworlder life quite fascinating, but the years have not been kind to her curiosity, and as a result, Morrigan has slowly become more cynical. Her family has survived countless centuries of persecution, discovery, and loss. As one of the remaining old bloodlines, she has special status in the Seelie Court, and is given leave to do nearly as she pleases, without breaking the Accords of Peace with the Nephilim. She has a long standing betrothal to one of the knights at court, longstanding meaning the last one hundred years.
    Weapons: She carries a thin sword.

    [*]Beastspeak ~ Morrigan can talk to animals that are calm and accepting of her presence.
    [*]Growth ~ Morrigan can, to a certain degree, control the plant life within five feet of her physical body.
    [*]Clairvoyance ~ Morrigan can use pools of water and a personal belonging of someone to see them for a short time. She can see only them, and only a small amount of their location.
    [*]Moondreams ~ Morrigan uses the light of the moon to enhance her power. Only works on the full moon, and after the night is over Morrigan is drained and tired.
    [*]Nightlight ~ Morrigan can set her sword alight with the light of the moon, doing enhanced damage to her enemies. Only lasts for one attack.

    Other: Morrigan is one of the informants, basically a spy, for the Seelie Court. Once she retires, she will become a duchess.

    Character Name: Brianne Lightwood

    Race: Nephilim/Werewolf

    Backstory: Brianne was the second child, and only daughter, of the prestigious Lightwood family. She spent most of her early childhood in Alicante, the capital of the Nephilim, learning to fight demons and studying runes. In her teen years, she was sent to the Institute in New York in order to be taught how to put her skills into real scenarios.

    Before she was an adult, she was taken on missions into the city, and quickly rose to become one of the new stars of her generation. While the rest of her family urged her to return to Alicante and become involved in politics in order to help the family fortune, Brianne stayed where she was needed, protecting the human race from demons. Luck helped her receive the Headmaster position at the New York Institute, where she hands out missions and watches over the Nephilim and Downworlders.

    She still ventures out, but most her days in her young adult years have been spent behind a desk, or in front of a computer monitor. Brianne hopes to change that.

    Other: In New York, Brianne has absolute authority, but also absolute responsibility. Let's make her life difficult.

    Character Name: Clarity

    Backstory: Clarity was born with the curse of a warlock's appearance, but none of the magical abilities. She was fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, in her case, able to understand her predicament from a young age, and seek out help from a warlock, who cast glamours over her in return for services. Clarity was trained by the best to hunt and find her prey, in addition to reading and writing skills that are somewhat rudimentary. In her nineteenth year of life, her mother passed away, allowing Clarity to use the woman's body to find the identity of her father.

    Clarity began to hunt for the demon who had sired her, having only a face and a name, leaving it to become her sole purpose in life. She's nearly reached her target, only to have him slip away. With each passing year, Clarity grows more desperate to attain her goal, for no one can assure her how long an ifrit has to live. This desperation has caused her to form alliances and friendships with various people. Clarity can be persuaded to do nearly anything, for the right price. And where her father is concerned, there is no action that cannot be done.

    Weapons: A single katana, along with some throwing knives hidden in various places on her body.

    Magic: N/A

    Other: Clarity has blue skin, because of which she moves around only at night, or with the help of glamours purchased from warlocks.

    Backstory: Luce grew up in Alicante, the Lightwood twins among her peers. She excelled in her studies as a Shadowhunter, but instead of taking a position in the outside world, elected to remain behind and serve the Clave. Having no memorable family name, Luce worked hard on her skills to mark herself in the annals of history. She has served Yorick faithfully until this point, and considers Corvo her main competition for his affection.

    Weapons: Luce uses her seraphim blade, and a sniper rifle for distance shots. She inscribes each bullet herself.

    Character Name: Arachea Elderweb
    Age: 673 (human years).
    Gender: Female
    Race: Fairy
    Appearance: ~Clicky~
    Backstory: Arachea serves as one of the main advisors to the Seelie Court, and has done service for more than a couple generations. She is rather notorious for a number of reasons, a few of them of how young she is, and for that reason alone, she isn't as respected. Another reason, stemming from the first is that she is a sort of gambler. On more than one occassion she has bet on more than a few odds, depending on the current situation of the Court. But for those main reasons alone, she has gained a different kind of respect; the ability to directly advise her opinions to influence the heads of the court's decisions. She is also respected for being an Elderweb, the old bloodline of seers and pragmatic advisors to the Seelie court.

    Arachea can come off somewhat cold, pragmatic, and cynical. She likes playing against odds, and sometimes can manipulate odds into her favor that would originally out of her reach. She is more than likely to sieze an opportunity the moment it presents itself, and likes to meddle in affairs so as long as there is a benefit that comes out of the situation, and even though that may have gotten her into some trouble in the past, she was rewarded more than scolded for actions and meddling. She owes a great debt Morrigan Moonsong, whom have saved her life at one point and that she (begrudingly) repaid by promising to watch over Morrigan in Arachea's own way possible; meddling.
    Weapons: Carries a cobalt double-sided lance.
    Magic:
    • Telekinesis ~ Arachea can manipulate objects without touching them. Certain objects, depending on their weight and size, can hinder this power.
    • Puppeteering ~ Arachea can, to a certain degree, control the actions of any individual for an instant. She can't keep a constant control, and her power is limited to the susceptibility of the individual.
    • Catalyst Event ~ Arachea can predict when an individual will be faced with a choice that could affect a situation, but cannot tell when that individual will make a said choice.
    • Blood Venom ~ By sacrificing some of her blood to her lance, Arachea's weapon will deal poisonous damage to anyone on the recieving end.
    • Shadowjump ~ Arachea can move through and in between shadows. Excessive use exhausts her greatly.
    Other: Arachea is a royal advisor to the Seelie Court, friends with Morrigan. Is obligated to her job, and likes to meddle with things, especially those not within her control.

    Backstory: Ash had never been given a human birthname. His mother had been part of a cult dedicated to the service of a Greater Demon and during a ritualistic summoning of this demon, he was conceived. When he was still young, he burnt down the cult's "church" and gave himself a name before leaving his homeland.

    Though having gained an extensive background in magic in the Spiral Labyrinth, Ash does not trust other warlocks. Ash has worked with several vampires on settling feuds between clans when Shadowhunters were either too busy or unwanted. The act, among the more violent and obscure clans in the farthest reaches of the Earth, tends to involve less diplomacy but, rather, a more hands-on approach. This has, of course, gained him no favor with the Shadow Hunters.
    Weapons: A hatchet with a silver edge.
    Magic:

    • Shadow Manipulation ~ Ash can directly control his own shadow and remove it from himself for a wide range purposes including using it to latch onto anything else with a shadow.
    • Starlight ~ Creates a sphere of light mimicking the properties of sunlight. Can be left in place or "carried" in the palm of Ash's hand. Unrelated to Nightlight.
    • Glamour Removal ~ Effective on all but the most powerful glamour spells.
    • Heater ~ Ash can increase the temperature of his body, though typically he only uses this for his hands. His hands will not combust but they can reach temperatures hotter than fire. Prolonged use or turning up the heat too high can not only tire him out but cause injury to himself.
    Other: Ash has black eyes.

    Character Name: Masque

    Appearance: Masque seems to have a very odd appearance, wearing very archaic red robes from an ancient time. He wears one mask on his face and has others hanging around his neck so he can easily switch. His most striking feature is a pair of long curved horns (think ibex/mountain goat horns) protruding from his forehead, and his mouth which is full of razor sharp teeth and a reptialian tongue, but is covered by his mask most of the time.
    Backstory: Having been shunned by humanity for many centuries, Masque has grown to hate humans. This hate has grown as Masque has watched the world grow and resented humans for it, until this hate grew into absolute desire to see all humans die. Masque grew mad and became an infamous serial killer. He murdered humans in the most horrific ways, often removing their faces. Masque is hidden from the public eye, but there are places where the warlock's name is whispered in fear.
    Masque is obsessed with faces, and especially hiding his own. Masque assumes many different identities and even changes his entire personality and emotional state when wearing a different mask. Masque is quite extravagant and loves to put on a show, acting very theatrical with his kills.

    Weapons: Masque uses a dagger and a pistol
    Magic:
    • Devour: Masque leeches life energy slowly from a target he is touching, making them exhausted and storing their image for use in "Illusion". If "Devour" is used against Nephilim or Downworlders his other abilities are upgraded.
    • A Trick of Light: Chance for Masque becomes stealthed. Easier if there are distractions. This stealth becomes more effective every time it's upgraded
    • Illusion: Masque creates an illusion of himself, or a target who has had "Devour" used on them. Each time it's upgraded Masque can create a greater number of illusions at once.
    • Dazzle: With a flourish Masque releases a dazzle of coloured light or confetti or fireworks etc. etc. distracting all nearby targets and dazzling them. This becomes more effective after upgrading.
    Other: Masque has Ibex's horns and a reptilian mouth
    Strengths: Masque is deft and agile and good at using his weapons and magic. He can also be very cunning.
    Weaknesses: Masque cannot hide his horns. He is not particularly strong and relies more on speed. Masque is also incredibly insane and often irrational. His illusionary spells can be resisted.

    Backstory: There isn't much to say about Roxanne, she is a Nephilim, forced to wander the earth, protecting it. However protecting it was not all it worked up to be. On occasion she was forced to kill someone that she didn't want to, including a couple not human males that she had taking a liking to. Over the years guilt built up in her heart until the day she snapped. Instead of killing those she needed to and just because she had to. She began killing those she had to just for the enjoyment of it. She started to learn more ways to kill things that would make it hurt more. Each new thing she learned, the more fun she had. Roxanne was no longer sane but still capable or killing only those she had to.

    Backstory: Slavko is relatively young in comparison to some. He is reckless and enjoys just messing with people when he can. He doesn't take things all that seriously most of the time, instead likes to make things as fun as he can and then walk away, rarely feeling threatened about anything. Despite being a demon he has taken a fancy to many woman in the past, human or otherwise. He doesn't care either way because they never lasted long when he was done with them, given he really couldn't do much without destroying it. He jumps between realms often as he can, and has returned to the void one too many times for his age, but he always manages to get out again and cause more trouble.
    Weapons: A chain
    Magic: Possession magic:He can directly take over the body of animals or humans
    Jinx: Considered a bad luck charm. He can cast a jinx and cause people to have misfortune for some time.

    Sien has never been one to hang around people, he's never understood them and thuse does associate with him. He likes going up to high places and messing around with his magic, a habit that has formed over the years.

    • Energy Bombs: Create bombs/explosions of energy.

    Backstory: Valister is a vampire from the olden age, shown by the manor he lives in and the attire of his servants. While he has managed to keep up to date with the changes that had occurred to society over the years, he prefers to keep his manor the same to keep a connection towards the old days.

    Backstory: As a young teenager, Rhett found himself in trouble quite often. The one who had turned him abandoned him the moment he could show that he could, at least partially, control his Change. Upon finding himself unable to repay a debt to a fairy and about to face punishment, a warlock intervened and paid his debt for him before vanishing before the man could introduce himself. Time passed as Rhett took up several odd jobs here and there in the Mundane world after having seen how troubling it was to be living among Downworlders. He moved from town to town, never truly belonging anywhere and refusing to be part of a pack, before finding a relatively safe job as a flight instructor.
    Years later, Rhett was framed for the death of a vampire clan leader. After being chased and backed into a corner by those the vampire had sired and a Shadow Hunter wishing to kill him in order to keep the peace, A warlock stepped out of the shadows and provided evidence proving Rhett's innocence. Rhett recognized this warlock as the same one who had saved him before. Feeling an enormous need to repay him, Rhett became his assistant...despite the fact that doing so would mean being around vampires. The warlock had introduced himself to Rhett as Ash. Rhett is incredibly loyal and keeps a light attitude which only opens up further when Ash is not around.

    Backstory: In Adam's early years he loved every moment of being a warlock. For the most part he keep himself out of trouble. For many years he spent his life as any Warlock does, training in the art of magic and warlockness. As an warlock he kept to himself as all Warlocks do. Life can not stay that way unfortunately. Five years ago he was in a bad accident. He was in a car accident. He was lucky to live. Some time later he awoke in a hospital. People stood around him when he opened his eyes. 'Your mother is here to see you. "My mom?" He could not remember anything. That last thing he remembered was a hunk of metal hitting the car he was in. He later found out he was in a coma, but other then the accident he could not remember anything. The coma lasted only a few hours and the doctors said he had an unusually fast healing. Five year later he came use to the fact that he would never remember his past and that was all there was to it.

    Magic: 1.Adam has the ability to shapeshift into any animal appearance. When he turns to animal he must be in his normal form and he can only be in animal form for a limited time.

    Backstory: Jennifer has been a vampire for a really, really long time. Some question if she has been a Vampire for longer then the dirt people walk on. Some wonder how Jennifer became a vampire. As a child Jennifer had a best friend who died at a tragic way. She did not see her friends death, but many that was there said that they did. She tries to not think about what could have been and focuses on what she can do. After her friends death she changed many things that she did. From then on she saw that life was to precious to waste. She saw that she might be better able to help people. In some way she thought that she could prevent people from death. When she has to have blood she prefers the blood of an animal. Jennifer being as old as she is has acquired quite a large sum of money. She owns several properties and some times rents them out for quite a low and reasonable price. With the sir plus of money she acquired a blood bank that she uses. She uses the various properties that she owns. She does not like to waste anything. She spends most if not all of her time out at night. She keeps the fact that she is a vampire from almost everyone. Jennifer wears makeup to hide the fact that she is a vampire.

    Appearance: Lorena possesses a petite frame with sharp yet beautiful facial features. She has a slick black pompadour haircut with a pair of goggles often on her forehead. Lorena dresses in the fashion of the 1800s and early 1900s as she just adored the fashion of that time and couldn’t let it go after the second world war. She most often wears a white blouse with brown leather corset and leather gloves.

    Backstory: Lorena was born a fairy, but swapped at birth with a human child as she was born sickly, an act the fair folk practiced often. She grew up in a mundane family in 18th century England, not even believing in the shadow world, but, unlike her parents original thoughts Lorena grew up to be strong and healthy. She started to notice strange occurrences; seeing people others could not, a man up on the heath who would howl at the full moon and the baker’s son just freezing when she became angry with him.

    When she was nineteen a fairy found Lorena and explained the circumstances of her birth, she was shocked and horrified that her parent’s could do that to her. This grew in her a distaste for the shadow world. She would always be a downworlder, but she was apprehensive of them, possessing a particular dislike for her own kind.

    In the latter half of the 19th century, and having outlived her second husband, Lorena began to feel the weight of immortality, vowing never to have mortal attachments again. She went blazing her own trail, becoming a notorious highway robber, until the Nephilim learnt of her actions. She evaded capture, disarming one of them and taking their stele, Lorena carved upon her skin a rune, so that she could defeat the Nephilim, but unaware of the danger. The mark burnt into her, tearing at her soul. She threw down the stele and ran into the night.

    The unfinished mark had not killed her, but she grew ever more spiteful each day, the lives of others meant nothing to her anymore and her distaste for the fairies grew into bitter hatred. On top of this she began to display an unhealthy obsession with clockwork and mechanisms, finding beauty in the precision of guns and often seeing people as nothing more than clockwork dolls playing out their routines. She became the perpetrator of a string of killings within the fair folk and then disappeared entirely. Lorena now wanders the earth fighting with her splintered soul, fighting the cold hearted killer she has become.

    Backstory: Nicholas is relatively new to being a shadowhunter, and is incredibly naive. He is very overconfident and thinks he can take on any challenge by himself, often foolishly. Nicholas also thinks those who break the accords can be reformed and is quick sympathetic towards downworlders, he believes the laws of the clave should be changed to be better to downworlders. Nicholas prefers to capture his enemies, instead of killing.

    Backstory: Alarick is the older, (and much more talented) sibling to Brianne. As the chosen heir for the Lightwood family, he's been alongside his sister to become one of the most successful warriors the Nephilim have ever seen. His prowess has earned him a seat on the Conclave at a fairly young age, a feat exceptional in and of itself. He is also one of the few who truly strives for peace between the Downworlders and Nephilim, despite his outward appearance.

    Alarick is hardly allowed to leave Alicante now, his parents setting him up with proper matches to marry and further the bloodline. He jumped at the chance to help the Old Man in his endeavors and has since served as a secret emissary between him and the Downworlders.

    Weapons: A stele as his primary, and a bo staff with twin blades as his secondary. The twin blades are spring released and retracted by a button on his bo staff.

    Backstory:
    Lilly lived a simple life. She started training to be a Shadowhunter at a young age. At the age of age of 22 she got married to a nice man, who always had her in mind. A year after she got married, life seemed to slow down. She was to have her first child soon, but her world and everything around her was about to change. She saw what damage the Downworlders and Nephilim could do. The Shadow World was a dangerous place. Shortly after her child was born her husband went missing and was never found. According to her that was what happened, that or he is dead, well dead to her, but what really happened was deep and darker then anything she could have imagined. Even then she does not talk about him. More husband
    One day her husband did not return home. A week went by without a word. She kept that he left from everyone she could. She thought he loved her, but serveal days later she spotted him kissing a witch a (warlock) It was over after that. She was able to relocate her and her newly born child to a better area. She was able to get a large sum of money and so she could not be found.
    Now that the life of her child would be dangerous as hers. She was getting to the age where she could do what she wanted. Now at the age of 23, she had a 1 year old child and the world on her mind all the time. Time went on as normal as it could being a Shadowhunter. Lilly was now 24 and knew the Lightwood family rather well. Her child was to be turning two in a few months and she could not be happier. That was when the unexpected happened one night she was out with her only child when she was attacked by demons. She was able to escape, the same could not be said able her child. Her only child was now gone. A few months went by and she saw the most unexpected thing someone living though a car accident. She adopted the child who could not remember his Past. The child's name was Adam. She always felt that Adam was met for more then that it seemed. He always seemed to have a magic around him, but she wanted to protect him form the shadow world. Now 5 years later at the age of 29 she might be able to get some peace. She keeping to herself.

    Backstory: The younger brother of Morrigan's fiance. As his older brother received the majority of the responsibilities of upholding their family name Cin was, mostly, free to do what he saw was the best use of his time. Over the first two centuries of his life he became an extremely formidable master of the blade while seeking to find an inner strength he believed he did not possess. When his brother's marriage had been arranged Cin was called back to the court where he was "strongly suggested" to place his sword under the Court's command as a knight due to his actions no longer being tolerated as the power of his family name grew. Although he originally did not wish for his position he has grown fond of it due to his strong sense of justice. A long life of witnessing acts of cruelty has made him grow a strong distaste for nephilim.
    Weapons:
    A basket-hilt sword with a blade made of iron and a claymore only used for executions.
    Magic:

    • Barrier ~ Conjures up a magic barrier of varying size and shape depending how much power Cin places into it.
    • Fortitude ~ Briefly enhances Cin's strength and endurance by a great degree. He can only do this once a day.
    • Sunburst ~ Using a nearby reflective surface, usually his own blade, Cin can magnify the amount of light reflected to daze those around him. Only works in direct sunlight.
    • Scorcher ~ A blue flame wraps around his blade. Lasts one minute and drains a large portion of his strength.
    • Shade ~ In only the cover of darkness and only while standing still, Cin can become invisible. This does not hide his scent or any noise he makes. He cannot use magic while invisible.

    Backstory: Most of Paragon's backstory is unknown, he only became significant when he founded Augur, a shadowy organisation, in the 1860s. Since then Paragon has had a direct hand in almost every major event, from the shadows. Augur is devoted to ridding the world of corruption and revealing the truth, they have been a thorn in every major government's side since they began. They involve themselves in both human and downworlder politics, and are constantly investigating the nephilim who they believe to be corrupt and greedy. Paragon has become almost a holy figure among those who follow Augur, his mantras are repeated over and over by the cult-like organisation.
    Paragon himself believes himself to the be epitome of all that is just and virtuous in the world. He is also intensely paranoid and has become brilliant at keeping secrets, hence why Augur has remained in the shadows so long. All the secret societies, all the conspiracies, all the shadow organisations, they all come back to Augur. Paragon's end goal is to unite the downworlders in equality and unity, with him as their supreme ruler. He does not believe in democracy, claiming it is too easy for corruption to grow, he believes that groups of people become a soulless unrelatable machine. With unity comes a unified apathy, and progress is never made, it is too easy for groups of people to argue and never come to a decision. His ideal vision of how the world should be ruled is by a single person, as a dictator can make changes at a whim, and has the morality that a committee can not. And who better to rule the world, than himself? Part of Paragon's mission is making himself into the perfect ruler and training himself for ultimate leadership, thus he likes to deal with problems personally.

    Backstory: Since becoming a werewolf Felicia was kept out of the way of other wolves. She spent a lot of time in run down buildings, back allies, and various other locations that were abandoned, training. She was being groomed by an old werewolf for one purpose. At first Felicia hated being kept away from everyone else, she wanted to be part of society, however she adjusted to her life. The old werewolf that was training her whispered secrets and dreams in her ears that kept her moving, became her motivation. And when she was trained and surpassed her master she proved this by killing him.

    After that Felicia laid in waiting, honing her own skills. She watched the other werewolves conduct their lives, and bow to their alpha. One day that would be her spot, but not yet. She was not going to cause a war for the roll of alpha, instead waiting till one began on it's own, when that happened she would step in and take her crown. The dumb mutts wouldn't even know what hit them when she did.

    Weapons: When in human form she uses throwing knives and a sword if she has to.
