The Cursed Ones

Death smiled knowing that the angels would make short work with them, hopefully they would listen to his orders and let them live...he wanted the pleasure of killing them. "Maybe you should have told that kid that you are older than me." Alaric smiled. "Maybe but it makes me feel old, and it doesn't really matter does it?" Death got ready to attack. "I suppose not. You do know that they can't kill an angel right? Well not permanently. The second they defeat one he will come back within a minute." Alaric tried attacking Death again only to get kicked in the stomach. I don't have the strength to fight...I need more power... Alaric must have been hearing things but a voice inside his head answered. You do have the strength you idiot! We gave you more than just ridding you of your pain and full use of your wings you know. Just concentrate...

 

The angels came at them from all directions without letting up and showing almost no injury. A few of them fell over and started bleeding but they got back up quickly and started fighting again. One of them went behind Sharix and tried grabbing her.
My strength... Alaric thought not knowing if he could summon up anymore power. He felt something in him not knowing what it was...a power of some sort wanting to be unleashed. It was just out of his grasp...

 

The angels kept coming. Several of them grabbed Tegoshi bringing him back to the ground and started attacking him. The others were still fighting with Sharix. One of them tried kicking her from behind.
Alaric kept trying to attack Death with several punches and kicks but he was still to slow for him. Death quickly punched Alaric in the chin knocking him back to the ground. "I don't know if your friends will last much longer...time's running out Alaric." Death said as he walked towards him. Alaric stood up again. "Your time is running out."

 

More angels grabbed Tegoshi pulling him away from Sharix. The other angels continued to attack Sharix showing no signs of getting tired.
Death smiled. All was going well. He kicked Alaric knocking him on the ground again. "My time will not run out any time soon." Alaric was starting to lose hope of winning. I can't use this strength...what am I supposed to do? Alaric saw that the other angels were actually trying not to kill Sharix and Tegoshi. "What are you trying to do?" He asked. "I want to kill them right in front of you. I want you to beg for death."

 

The angels were finally able to have another chance to grab Sharix again. About five angels grappled Tegoshi and a sixth started to drain his strength from him.
"This will be all over soon Alaric." Death said. Damn it! I need that power...come on. Alaric could feel the power again but it was just barely out of his grasp. Just a little more... "Bring them here and don't kill them!" Death commanded.

 

Another angel replaced the one that Tegoshi had knocked out and grabbed him also. The angels that had grabbed Sharix started dragging her towards Death. After awhile of draining Tegoshi's strength the other angels soon followed dragging Tegoshi in the same direction.
Death took out a curved knife. "I won't kill them so quickly. I want to you to watch them suffer." Alaric didn't have much strength to move anymore. He could barely stand. I can feel it...I just can't get the power to stay in my grasp. I just need more time. "I will kill you!" Alaric shouted at Death but still not attacking him.

 

Death saw them coming closer and walked up to them. "I admire your skill. You lasted longer than I thought. You both are strong for mere mortals." Death looked at Sharix. "I think I will start with your girlfriend first." Alaric looked at Death quickly jab the knife at Sharix's stomach. "NO!!" Alaric yelled extending his hand knowing he couldn't stop Death.

 

Death enjoyed the pain he had brought on Sharix and smiled. He twisted the knife a little and pulled it out.
"You shouldn't have done that..." Alaric said finally starting to grasp the power within him. His hair started turning white and his eyes changed from a dark brown to a silver color. What the hell is happening to me?! Death looked at his bloody knife and smiled turning back to Alaric. When he saw what was happening he took a step back. "What the?! What are you doing?!" He shouted at Alaric.

 

Alaric started to lose his vision and probably he lost consciousness. He could just feel his body attacking Death wildly. Alaric had summoned his swords back but they didn't look or feel the same. They weren't on fire and just felt stronger they were just glowing with pure energy. Alaric felt himself get attacked by the remaining angels. He assumed that he must have killed them because he was fighting Death again. "What is going on?!" Death said as he got knocked down by Alaric. Death backed off and said, "We can't beat him! We would need the master to fight!" With that the angels started vanishing. Alaric started turning back to normal. What happened? He looked at Sharix. "Sharix!" He ran to her side as fast as he could but still felt himself being drained of his remaining energy.

"No...I didn't...I couldn't protect you." He said softly. Alaric looked at Sharix's wound. "Death had a clean knife...I need to stop the bleeding." Alaric tore off a sleeve of his shirt and put it on Sharix's wound. I'm always ruining my clothes...I still couldn't protect her. I probably should leave when she gets better. "I'm sorry." Alaric started losing consciousness and his vision started to blur. "Tegoshi...if you have the strength you should go get help. I don't know if I have the ability to actually heal this wound. Just hurry." Alaric looked around for Ex. I wonder if the other angels attacked him too. They must have otherwise he would have been here.
