Save the Heroes

Leon noticed an odd girl walking away just as he passed by the place where the skull was. He decided to follow to see if she what she was, being a hero himself he had rarely been around them without fleeing so they wouldn't confuse his power with a skulls. This girl seemed disorientated though, he wanted to make sure a dream catcher wasn't in her head knowing what would happen from something his family had told him a while back.

 

Annaly stopped for a moment, she leaned against the wall and closed her eyes and waited until her head didn't feel like it was spinning all over the place. It was rare that she used her powers and even more rare when she used them in front of other heroes. A lot of the other heroes she had met in the past had cool powers like super-strength and healing abilities as such. What did she have? An ability to move things with her mind, read thoughts and inhuman speed that she suspected she may have somehow gotten from being a skull once before.

 

Leon approached the girl quietly not wanting to make her jump for her and his own safety. "You looked trashed", he said in a calm and questioning type of voice, he sounded slightly like a cop and looked like one from the 70's in his hat and coat. He kept his hands in his pockets although they where gloved. The only thing anyone could see from head height was the lower part of his face.

 

"Aren't most of like that when we use our abilities?" Annaly looked at Leon through the corner of her eye, it was almost glinting. "Hero."
She stood up on her own and turned her body so that she was fully facing Leon, he was a good few feet taller than herself, it bothered her a bit but she didn't dare show it on her face, it would embarrass her to no end.

 

"I guess we all have different after or long term effects", Leon replied barely changing his stature. His height over her was comical to him slightly but he dared not laugh or even crack a smile at the moment. Being careful, he kept watch of her movements in case she tried to take his hat off his head.

 

Annaly smiled to herself. She knew that he was holding back a laugh and it only made her want to laugh. "There's no need to worry about me taking your hat off Leon. I know what your ability is. I think it's kind of nifty."
Annaly paused for a moment and thought over what she just blurted out, she just sounded like she had been stalking Leon. She cringed inwardly at this realisation.

 

Leon raised his hat a little to see the girl better, "You a mind read or something?", he asked knowing that if his suspicion was right he was safe but otherwise if she had been stalking him he would be ready to run, never know who could be working for the dream catchers.

 

OOC: I read 3 pages of this?! Oh well. I'll need to keep up anyway. <.<

Gin ignored the noise in the distance. Slurping his ramen, he payed more attention to the people around him. If other Heroes were being attacked, he needed to keep his eye out and his guard up. He finished his ramen but stayed at the bar, waiting.

"Ya hurd that, din't ya?" Mr. Hamazachi said, looking out the windows. Gin nodded and sighed. He didn't like to get himself into any drama crap. It was pointless and stupid, he thought. He slapped some money on the bar and started walking out.

"Later, Mr. Hamazachi. Thanks for the Ramen." He said, walking out. As he walked out, Gin disappeared within the crowd, heading back home to stare at the wall even more.

 

Lightning took a deep breath, lowering her head. Her wound was worse than it felt. She turned around, walking away from the area. She had a feeling more Skulls would appear so she might as well leave since she isn't up for another fight.

 

As Gin walked towards his house, he noticed Lightning in the distance, wounded. He grunted and started walking towards her. When he reached her, he knelt down under her head and looked into her face.

"You alright?" He asked.

 

Lightning took a step back when Gin approached her. She looked away, wincing. "I'm fine. I just kind of fought something, that's all."

Sarah had finally arrived where the others had fought the Skull. She looked around, seeing a dead Skull lying on the floor. She must've been able to kill it. Unless she was with someone else. She put her hands on her hips, groaning. "Man, where are you Lightning?"

 

Gin chuckled. "Yeah, I heard it. C'mon, let's head over to my place and I'll patch you up. Then you can go home." He insisted, carefully leading her to his house.

He knew what she was. A Hero, if anything else. He should be safe, as long as she was a Hero. Otherwise, he'd need his pistol, which was at home.

 

Lightning looked at Gin, following him. "Fine. But...just be careful with touching my arm." she said, referring to her ability.

Sarah let out a loud sigh, heading back to the house. "I'm always the one missing out on these type of fights." she muttered staring up at the sky. She lowered her head, taking off into a run. Might as well head home.

 

Gin looks at her in a weird way but shrugs, opening the door to his empty house and looking around. Inside his house were many paintings and sketches of Gin's previous art. He walked down the hall into the bathroom to get the first aid kit.

"You want anything to drink?" He called from the bathroom.

 

"No. I'm okay." Lightning shouted back. She looked around the house, still holding onto her arm. I had literally gone numb. She looked down at her arm, seeing blood drip on the floor. She gritted her teeth, cursing under her breath. Stupid Skull.

Sarah had stopped running, simply walking around the poor part in Manor. Some of the people looked at her, confused. She let out a quiet sigh, ignoring them. I might as well stay out. I have nothing else better to do.

Void was close by. Very close. He sat on one of the buildings, watching Sarah. He knew perfectly well how to attack her, seeing as she was alone.

 

"I may be something along those lines." Annaly said with a smirk playing on her lips. She chuckled slightly at his thoughts. "Trust me, I am probably one of the Dream Catcher's most wanted if you know what I mean. I guess they don't like having Heroes with similar powers to them." Annaly looked up at the blackening sky, the stars started to adorn it like little diamonds sewn on a smooth piece of velvet.

 

"I understand what you mean, they are probably scared of someone who can get into their heads", Leon said tipping his hat back down to its place. "Looks like more trouble will be coming, Skulls seem more active lately", he continued trying to get a understanding on where she stands on Skull fighting.

 

Seeing that she could trust him enough, Annaly decided to let him in on something she knew. She thought about it for a moment and then decided it was a good time to. "Leon, do you know what it's like to be a Skull?" she murmured quietly, so only he could hear.

 

"I only what its like to be mistaken for one", Leon replied putting his hand on his hat as a reflex he's been used to.
