Annaly's head snapped up again, she sensed something that was so familiar to her it was like it was a part of very core. It started sending shivers down her spine. Unconciously she wrapped her arms around her waist as if to keep herself together, to keep herself from falling apart again. She remembered her several experiences of being a Skull or being on the verge of one and frankly, she'd much rather kill herself then go through that again.

Lightning finally stopped as far away as possible from the area. She rested her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath. "That...took me a while..." she said in between breaths. She stood up straight when she felt the Skull was behind her. She slowly turned around, reaching for her weapon. It's simply standing there. What's it waiting for? Lightning pulled out her weapon, knowing she'd regret it if she waited any longer.

Annaly started running, running in the direction of the Skull she sensed. She ignored the goosebumps that were raising on her arms and started running full speed, which to a normal human she would look like she was flickering all over the place. As she sprinted, she reached the poorer part of the city, the Skull's presence got stronger as well. Annaly slowed to a brisk walk and tried to blend in with the crowed.

 

Lightning stared at the Skull, waiting for it to lunge at her. But, this one seemed different somehow. She took a step back, getting slightly annoyed. All the others she's fought quickly attacked her. "Damn it! What the hell!" she yelled in frustration. With that single shout, the Skull finally charged at Lightning, pointing it's claws at her. She quickly raised her blade, trying to block the attack but she feared her blade would break. "Damn it..." She jumped away, landing a few feet away from it.

Stalking around the area, Annaly finaly found the Skull. It was in combat with another Hero like herself. She hid on the roof of a building and got out her bow and a single arrow, she attached the arrow above the nock (ooc: forgot her archery terms @_@) and pulled the bowstring back, aiming it at the back of the Skull's head. Unsurprisingly, it's head snapped around and locked it's gaze onto her. It gave a shrieking howl and lunged at her instead. Annaly dropped the bow and got her double-bladed sword out and got ready for a battle. She hopped off the building and onto the ground, the Skull followed after her. She skidded to a halt and twisted around and lifted her blade up in front of her.

 

Jacob gunned, for he senced a skull near. He ran a red, and saw Lightning jump away from the skull. He blasted it in that direction. When he got near, he started to spinn his car. The spinning made his day that much more fun. He stoped the car right when he was next to the skull nad opened the door, ramming the skull to the side. "Hello" he said to lightning.

The Skull lunged a second time, Annaly raised her sword and successfully blocked the blow. Although she struggled, she managed to keep her ground and prevent herself from getting injured. The Skull growled and put more muscle into its assault, slowly pushing Annaly back inch by inch until she finaly gave up and pulled her sword away. Annaly went to strike but was totally unaware that the skull was already attacking and it sunk its claws into her arm.

 

"Hey!" Lightning shouted to Annaly. "Quickly, get away!" Lightning dropped her sword as she took off her left glove. Someone was already getting injured, she had to do something. She jumped just next to Annaly's left shoulder, putting her right hand on her shoulder. She placed her left hand on the Skull's face, pushing it down. At the same time, the Skull dug it's claws into her left arm.

 

Jacob got out of his car, and ran towards the skull and arived there in a half of a second. He unsheathed one of his sword and said to lightning "I don't trust this one, he didn't attack him, that was wierd, right"

 

Annaly winced in pain as the claws dug into her flesh, warm crimson blood started to slowly run down and drip off her hand. She got her free arm and went to help Lightning free but then a sudden pulsing sensation started to flow through her body, a sensation she was familiar with. She instead clamped her hand against her face as she had an internal stuggle to get control over herself again. As she fought, a dark aura started to seep from her, though not visible it could easily be sensed. She gritted her teeth together and with all her mental strength she push the sensation out. It was not an easy task but she managed to push it out.
Annaly then averted her attention back to Lightning and focused on the Skull's claw that was clasped around her left arm and with her thoughts she started to slowly unwrap each claw. "Think you can help a bit?" she grunted to Lightning.

Lightning nodded her head, feeling the claws pull away from her flesh. She closed one eye, trying to withstand the pain. This wasn't the first time she was injured but it has been a while. She finally moved back when the claws were out of her skin. She felt her arm go numb. She couldn't even feel the blood go down her arm. She stared at the Skull, seeing it was completely paralyzed.

 

When Annaly managed to get a hold of herself again she in haled a deep breath and focused entirely on keeping the Skull pinned down as long as possible. As she expected, the Skull was fighting against the restraint that she was putting on it. With a huge mental push she slammed it into the ground, creating a huge crushing sound as the ground crumbled against the force.

ooc: I must go for now, I'll be on in a couple of hours.

 

Lightning stood up, grabbing onto to her arm. "Kill it before it releases itself." she said lowering her head. Damn. This pain is worse than before. She turned around, walking over to her sword. She let her arm hang by her side as she picked up her sword.

Sarah had left her house a while ago. She knew something was going on and she needed to be by Lightning's side. Hope I'm not too late.

 

jacob takes his sword and says" Let me kill it" to Annaly and Lightning as he slashed at the skulls head

 

"No I'll kill it, I'm taking this personally." Annaly muttered. She reached into the Skull's mind, not deterred but the messed thoughts of it's mind. She knew what to look for and quickly searched for the Skull's last insignificant strand of humanity. When she found it, she wrapped her mind around and and with one brutal mental blow, she crushed the strand. It started a chain reaction and within a split second, the Skull went limp.

 

Leon wasn't too far from the situation with the skull but he wasn't looking for trouble. Under his hat and coat he had less chance of transforming while he made sure no one needed saving or amy thugs needed stopping. His motivation was simple, help the helpless and defeat the corrupt.

 

Glancing back at the dead skull and then at the people that were on the scene, Annaly made her way back into the deeper part of the city. Now she was starting to feel lightheaded and she started to teeter around the place. Luckily, no one was watching so she kept walking. Not really caring anymore, she left her hoodie down and started walking back into the normal part of the city to get her trench coat.
