Roadtrip

Alyssa looked over at Kipp, she had barely heard what he had muttered in her direction. She could smell a faint aroma of smoke coming from him. She looked him in the eye, trying to communicate that she did not approve one bit.

 

Emily looked at Scott. "It's 4:56 a.m. I'm sleepy." She said. She looked down again, lost in thought. She was tired, but she had alot on her mind as well. "We should probably find somewhere to stay soon, even if it is morning." She bit her lip. "First we must find food though. I'm hungry." Emily laughed. "Hey Alyssa. Why so hostile this morning?"

 

Alyssa stayed silent for a moment before answering Emily's question. "It's early, and I'm hungry. When I get too hungry I start to get a bit edgy. I got it from my mom." She explained. "So it would be in everyone's best interest in we stopped somewhere and got food. You said you were hungry too, right Emily?"

 

Emily giggled. "I'm just glad I'm not the only one," she replied. "It's weird, 'cause I ate before we left, but I'm starving!" She thought for a second. "Is my music bothering you? I know you don't really like this band. You can change it to whatever you want. It is your vehicle." Emily looked at Scott. "I think we should go to California you guys. Oh! I have another idea! What about Colorado? Colorado is nice. I want to avoid New Mexico though. New Mexico creeps me out." I remember the last time I went... Damn alien freaks... I got frisked for stepping into private property that wasn't even fenced or anything, just because they thought Extra Terrestrials had set foot in that place. We had pulled over because I was carsick... Wasn't Scott there? Hmm...

 

Emily ran inside the McDonalds, and, since no one was in line, she started shouting her food order at the cashier. "I would like a quarter-pounder with cheese. I want extra pickles, extra cheese and extra onions..." Wierd, I don't even like McDonalds' onions. "... I also want two apple pies, and a large McFlurry."

"Do you want that Supersized?" The cashier asked.

"Yes please. Scott! What do you want to eat?" Emily shouted excitedly.

 

Alyssa ignored Scott's offer. She had her own money and did not need hand outs. She got out of the car again slamming the door. She casually walked into the McDonalds she strolled over to the register beside the one that Emily was ordering at. She hadn't been able to get a good look before, but she could tell now that Emily was beginning to show signs of a pregnancy. Including this indulgence with McDonalds.

"Excuse me miss, would you like to order? The cashier said from behind the counter.

"Oh yes, I'm sorry. I'll have a Mac Snack Wrap, a small fry, and a large sweet tea." She barely heard what the total was, she was beginning to worry about Emily more. Maybe I should just tell him, Scott's a nice guy... Her thoughts were interupted by the cashier wanting the money for the food. Aly dug around her wallet, she always liked to pay with correct change. "Here...." she said absentmindedly. She then stood and waited for her food, wondering on what to do about the situation she had on her shoulders.

 

Guys, I'm gonna be at the beach today, so I won't be posting, but if I do... It's probably not me, so... run o-o JK! But still. I won't post for the entire day. I might be on at night. PLEASE DUN LEAVE ;-; And seriously, feel free to keep posting without me. I don't mind :3 I actually quite enjoy coming back to something I can read.

 

Kipp stayed in the car, since he wasn't all that hungry at the time, and could probably get something from the vending machine at a hotel they would be staying at. He leaned back in the seat and realized how stuffy back seats were. Kipp then tried to figure out someway to get Alyssa out of her angered state. Sighing, be realized that wanted a cigarette. He shook out the thought, since that was out of the question with his friends.

 

Actually... It was too rainy to go to the beach today.

Emily grabbed the cup the cashier gave her for her drink, and went to the drink fountain to fill it up with Dr. Pepper. Emily loved Dr. Pepper. It was her favorite drink. She then went to sit at one of the tables. She looked out the window she was sitting next to, and felt a sudden rush of anxiety. We're way too close to home still... What if my parents find us? What if Kipp's dad finds us? She shuddered as she remembered the time she was over at Kipp's house and his dad chased him up a tree, swinging a toaster by the cord. That was... scary to say the least. She giggled and took a sip of her drink. Hmm... Scott... Should I tell him about that party we were at a couple months ago? I wonder what all he does remember... Does he remember pushing Richard into the pool? He obviously doesn't remember what happened with me. Emily blushed, thinking of that night with Scott.

 

Kipp saw Scott approach the car, getting out. "What's up?" he asked, smoothing his hair back some. His hair still fell over onto his forehead, like an emo. He shook his head, trying to get his hair back to it's natural state, but it was no use.

 

Kipp nodded slowly, answering his question to "I'm not hungry right now." He thought of the suggestion Scott asked, saving it later. "Are we going to a hotel first? I think we should get out of town first." Kipp asked, looking over at Scott.

 

Alyssa got her food and walked over to the table where Emily was sitting. She sat down next to her and quietly asked, "How are you doing, with you know..." She looked at her stomach. She figured a chance like this might not come up again for awhile.

 

Emily didn't even notice Alyssa at first. She was so lost in thought.

When she finally looked up and saw Alyssa, it took a second to register her question. "Oh, I'm doing great. I think. As great as I can be at least. I just keep getting these awful cramps... I'm wondering when I should tell Scott though. I'm starting to feel really guilty... It seems almost as if I'm lying to him. It bothers me. I want to tell him, but I don't want to ruin the trip."

Aly went up to the counter to get her food, then went back to the table to talk to Alyssa. "What do you think I should do Aly?" Emily asked, popping a couple of french fries in her mouth.

 

"Well you are going to have to tell him eventually. Or he is just probably going to find out anyway. And if you don't tell him he could get mad. Just try to tell him when the two of you are alone. Or I could be there too, if you want. I just think that you need to tell him." Aly told her as she sipped her sweet tea.
