Rebellion of Honor

"A couple hours, I would think." he said.

 

"I see, this place is very different than my home" Raine said wishing to look at the sky.

 

"And where are you from?" he asked.

 

"It doesn't exist anymore", Raine said, "The king destroyed it"

 

"I'm sorry to hear that." he said.

 

"It's in the past", Raine said, "So why are you after the king's life?"

 

"Because of all the evil he is doing." he said. "I used to be his apprentice, but when I found out about the things he was doing, I snuck out."

 

"I see" Raine said, "So you know him well, did he ever keep prisoners?"

 

Lilly silently listened to the conversation, looking at both of them when they speaked. She sat down in between them, and was getting tired of being a cat. She wanted to change, but didn't want to confuse the two men. They might kill her on the spot. She was stuck.

 

"I never saw that side of him, so I wouldn't know. I only heard him planning evil things one night, decades ago." he said. Somehow he could sense something wrong with the cat, like she was uneasy. He looked at her and gave her a very friendly smile, hoping to let her know that he was a nice guy.

 

"Looks like I've hit a dead end", Raine said sighing.

 

"Sorry I couldn't be more help." he said.

 

"It's fine" Raine said looking at the cat, Why do I feel like i've seen it before

 

Lilly was getting fed-up with the small talk, and stood up. She stepped back a little, and jumped forward, and phased into her Human Form. She stood between them, and looked at both of them. "Don't you men know how to talk?" She said, sort-of annoyed.

 

"Wow!" Alfondus said, shocked but not too surprised. "So you were a girl the entire time."

 

"Don't we keep running into each other?" Raine answered her question with a question

 

Lilly giggled some, and looked over at Raine. "Maybe It's Fate." She said, shrugging. She noticed Ioaness look back, and saw Advent. She snorted, and rolled her eyes back over at Raine.

 

"Maybe" Raine said still below a fake smile
