To spare any further plumecdotes: A b o u t Here in this thread, you may sign up to build playlists of recommended music for other members. However, instead of just a general post, you'll be assigned a random member from this sign up list, and give them music you think they'd really be able to get into. In a sense, it is similar to our Secret Santa event, but instead of gifts you get to spread and expand your own musical taste. For the most part, I'd urge you to work off genres as much as possible, to introduce a wider variety of artists to another person. However, if you know a few songs by said artist that they might not know (either because it's not as popular or that person is just getting into them), you can feel free to include them in your playlist. P l a y l i s t ? For this event, we'll be using this nifty site called 8tracks. While it does require sign up, it's very user friendly and the upload process is quite simple. It also let's you add your own album cover to personalize it (max size is 500x500), and it is even YouTube compatible! Tutorial coming soon. (Actually mean that this time oop). All Main Site Rules and the Music Section's Rules apply. 2. At least 8-10 tracks per playlist. This is to ensure a more broad range of things are presented rather than just a playlist filled with your top favorite band. 3. Sign-Ups will be reopened every week. With school going on and all, I understand that time may be pretty short for most. For convenience's sake, everyone has a week to build their playlist and award it to their assigned person. However, as with Secret Santa, if you do not hand in your playlist by the designated date, I WILL TRACK YOU DOWN. 4. Have fun! So...I'm kinda confused on making playlists for 8tracks. I got 5 songs, but it needs at least 8, and am I supposed to upload the songs (which I don't have) or what?
You can either upload the songs or search for them in Soundcloud in the little search bar to the right. I'd probably say check Soundcloud first so you don't have to download anything you don't want to haha. Also, the songs that you upload are automatically kept in the "My Tracks" thing below the search bar, so you could re-use them whenever. Also bah, forgot about the 8 track thing, gonna go edit that in the OP now avgdhg.
