For those hadn't heard, Lacey Strum, lead singer of Flyleaf has left the band to pursue other things in her life right now. Here's a article on the subject and everything. What's your take on this? http://www.artistdirect.com/enterta...leaf-singer-lacey-sturm-leaving-band/10254687 And here's the first single of their newest album and the last music video Lacey will be in with Flyleaf.
It's nice to see that she is leaving on good terms and that the band is optimistic for their future. I remember when Josh Farro left Paramore, there was the massive fallout and blog drama, and it just... reflected really poorly on them all. I only listened to Flyleaf for a little while but I'm excited to see how the new girl steps in, Lacey was very defining for them & they're big shoes to fill.
I remember reading this awhile back. Sad to see Lacey go, but at least it isn't the end of Flyleaf. Honestly, I haven't heard of the new girl's band and still haven't bothered looking them up. ...Maybe I'll just wait for an album to judge her performance fresh rather than base it off the band she used to be in.
This slightly saddens me. She has a beautiful voice and Flyleaf was a band that helped me get through Middle School. I hope that she isn't done for good. Looking forward to hear the new Flyleaf.
-sigh- Now, there is no point in listening to their new songs. I think I would just stick to the old ones now. The older ones are usually the best though. Well, at least she left on good terms and not something that could ruin her reputation or anything.
