Luna looked over at Koa. "For starters, you owe me about 2000 munny!" Koa was a bit surprised over what Luna had said. "What for?!" Luna smiled and then answered the surprised Koa. "Remember when I first got the keyblade? Weelll......You said if I ever became a keyblade master, then you would give me 2000 munny. Well when this is all over, I'll be expecting that munny immediately!" Koa was speechless over the news he had heard. It took him as few moments to process just what happened. "R-really?? You've really become a keyblade master??" She nodded happily at his question. A smile had grown on his face as excitement filled the tone of his voice. "Th-That's.. AMAZING!!" He hugged her for a few moments before letting go. Luna laughed a little bit before nodding her head. The two couldn't celebrate too long as more heartless had started to file in near them. "Then please, by all means, show me the strength you've gained as a master now." He bowed and gestured toward the heartless with a slight smirk in his smile. "Alright but don't go underestimating me okay?" Luna giggled before running over to a group of darkballs. She jumped over them and into the middle of the group. She took a deep breath before gathering light to her. A white aura had surrounded her as more light continued to gather. "Blessed Light please help me to vanquish my foes!!" Four pillars had materialized around her. Koa watched in astonishment over the sight that was in front of him. "Light!! Disperse!!!" The four pillars launched out at the group, eliminating each one.

Luna looked over at Koa. "Alright! Let's see what you got! Hearltess at 9 o'clock." She pointed over at another group of darkballs that were heading toward them. He looked over at her and back at the group of heartless. He cracked his knuckles before taking ahold of his spear. "Alrighty then!" He ran toward the group and leaped into the air. His spear had then changed its form and had turned into a large hammer. He began spinning forwards toward the darkballs. The hammer had landed on the ground not only hitting some of the darkballs but caused a small shockwave to eliminate the other darkballs in the group. He landed back on his feet and turned to Luna. He gave her a thumbs up and she gave one in return. Before either of them could warn the other, some neoshadows had attacked the two, sending them flying in different directions. Koa went flying off past the trio of Hikaru, and Aux. Luna had flew past Karina and Arctus. They both sat up and grabbed their head after landing back on the ground in a bit of pain. Luna looked over at the two and laughed awkwardly a bit. "Hehe...umm...sorry for dropping in...hehe...heh..."

Luna looked up and saw Karina talk to her. "Well look who the cat dragged in. I would have thought you would be more graceful after your Mark of Mastery. I guess nothing has changed after all. How did that go anyways?" Luna got back onto her feet, dusting any sand that may have still been on her body. She looked over to her and smiled a bit. "Well. I don't know if you'll be happy to know but we all passed! We're all keyblade masters now!" She scratched her head a bit before continuing. "It definitely wasn't easy but we passed nonetheless!" She heard another voice speak to Karina. "Friend of yours then? Or enemy?" Luna scratched her head as she tried to collect her thoughts together. After choosing her next words, she answered the man. "Definitely not an enemy. Though I don't think Karina would see me as a friend. An acquaintance most likely. " Karina had then spoke up. "Not everyone hates me you know, though she did try and attack me when we first met." Luna lowered her head a bit as Karina reminded her of an earlier point in time. She looked over to Karina and responded. "I said I was sorry! There were......circumstances that were affecting me back then. But it's all resolved now!" Karina had then proceeded to introduce the two. "I guess formal introductions are expected. Luna, Arctus, Arctus, Luna. Try not to bite too much please. We have our hands full enough as it is." Luna laughed a little bit before speaking up. "No need to worry! It's a pleasure to meet you Arctus!" She looked over to Arctus and he went back into battle. She looked over at Arctus fighting before looking back at Karina. "He's definitely interesting to say the least. Just what have you been up to since we last saw you? And....I would like to say something else if you don't mind." Karina had cleared a path for the three of them, giving Luna some time to recover a little bit. "Thanks. Um...Thank you." She paused as a gentle smile appeared on her face. "Thank you for bring Koa back. Koa had been missing for two years and to see him here now. It means the world to me. He means the world to me. Even though it was purely coincidental, I just want to thank you for looking out for him and the others that have joined you." She looked behind Karina and saw a group of neoshadows come running toward them. "Watch out!" Luna immediately raised her blade and several mines had surrounded her. "Go!" The mines immediately headed toward the heartless and exploded on site. The group of heartless had been immediately been vanquished. She turned back and looked at Karina's weapon. "That's certainly new."





Koa sat up, clutching his head. "So much for having our guard up. Oww." Koa shook his head as a voice called out to him. "Hey!" The boy had offered his hand to him and Koa hesitated slightly before taking his hand. He stood back up as the boy continued. "Saw you arrive with Karina earlier." Karina? Koa wasn't sure who this Karina girl was. After a few moments, he finally realized. "You mean Kiara? Yeah we heard you guys needed help and that rabbit was definitely right about that." He looked around to find Luna until the boy spoke up again. "So, what's your story?" Koa wasn't entirely sure what he mean by 'his story'. So, he decided to ask for clarification. "My story?? What do you mean?" Before Koa could ask any further, a group of darkballs had shown up. He went for the metal in his pocket. The metal had immediately formed into a spear. He ran off and took down the group of darkballs one by one. Once the group had vanished, his spear reverted back into a metal cube. He went back over to the boy. "I apologize about that. You were saying?"

Moving forward, Stratos continued to fight against the neoshadows as best as he could. While he definitely felt stronger than he normally would, he had never actually fought using two keyblades before. To say the least, it was an awkward feeling as he normally wielded the one weapon in both of his hands. To feel the weight of both of them individually, in either hand at once, was a bit difficult to get his slashes where he wanted to go. All the same, he wasn't about stop here. Not yet. He had a feeling that if he could master the use of this job's power he would be able to deal with these swarms of heartless without that much issue. Charging head first into them, the boy started his fight against the neo shadows once more. The first five of them charged at the boy, readying their claws and swiping at him, trying to tear into his flesh as they were wont to do. While two attacked him at once, the boy merely slashed with both keyblades at once, intercepting both attacks and forcing the heartless back from him. As more came towards him, the boy merely spun his keyblades around, before aiming them at the heartless. Charging them up with magic, lightning beginning to form a sphere on the tip of either of the blades, he merely said, "thunderbell." Firing both spheres off at once, they exploded on contact, destroying the small collection of neo shadows at once.

Looking towards the others, the boy charged his blades with magic again, this time the elements on them being different than before. As two neo shadows leaped at him, he slashed once with wind, striking the heartless dead on a releasing a large gust that bowled the one neo shadow into another. His other blade, charged with water, struck the other neo shadow dead on. Exploding into a torrent of water, the boy had destroyed the body of the neoshadow from the raw force of his attack in one fell strike. Spinning his keyblades around, he tossed one with a strike raid at another neoshadow, cleaving through it as he charged up his second one with fire magic. Looking at the one next to him, he merely called out, "firaga." The fire ball was let out, into one of the neoshadows, destroying it instantly. Summoning back his first keyblade, the boy then charged them with elemental magic once more, this time one light and the other dark. As neo shadows leaped at him, with a cross he brought the red slash against one of them, the two clashing elemental magics forcing their way through the heartless's body. Turning around to guard against the other, the boy slashed once into the heartless, knocking it into the air. Jumping up after it, he began to let loose an onslaught of slashes against the neoshadow, cleaving into its body. With one final stroke, his gravity aura flared momentarily as he let loose a large bubble of force against the heartless, destroying it instantly. Landing back on the ground, the boy looked surprised at what he did, merely saying, "well that was new." Spinning his keyblade around, the boy went to go back to attack once again.

Meanwhile, Aeira's bizarre adventures continued as she did the unthinkable. She punched. Punched more heartless. One after the other, she continued to punch the neoshadows around her, wanting to destroy them as quickly as she could. Her fists seemed to move effortlessly through the bodies of the neo shadows as she punched them, as if there was no resistance to be had when doing so. With one final punch, the girl delivered a death blow to yet another heartless.

The statues of the heartless that had been frozen solid as a result of Kel's aura had begun the process of cracking. It started off small, one simple crack forming either on their bodies or faces. Those cracks started to spread throughout their bodies, connecting to the other forming cracks and covering the entire bodies of the heartless leading to them finally breaking apart into dust. The dust shone like diamonds and blew away in the gentle breeze that just happened to appear for this precise moment to add a special effect of sorts to this whole scene. It was a nice display though, pretty and full of light. A huge juxtapose to the whole realm of darkness they were fighting in and the massive wave of heartless that they were currently in the process of dealing with. Eventually the light faded into darkness, totally not unintentional ominous foreshadowing, once again leaving Kel to prepare himself for the next attack from the heartless before him. Kel looked towards the green haired girl from earlier as she spoken to him again, this time asking a vague question. Having been left confused by the question, Kel swipe away a Darkball that had wandered over towards him before motioning to his keyblade. "This?" There was also the possibility of the cowl that had appeared after donning the solider job. He didn't think that was what she was referring to, but you never know. Another possibility came to mind shortly after. What if there was something behind him that she was informing him about. Kel quickly turned around just in time to see two Darkballs heading in his direction. Perfect timing for him. One horizontal slice later and they were donezo. Back to the matter at hand, Kel had decided to go with his first guess as to what it was and motioned back to his keyblade. "This is a keyblade." Assuming his guess was right, he really hoped that he didn't need to explain what a keyblade was. Outside of 'a weapon of light to fight heartless' he didn't have much of an answer. Not to mention that clearly it wasn't the only means of fighting heartless, both as he's seen in other worlds and right now by this girl. Speaking of which "Who are you by the way?"

Elsewhere more and more Neoshadows had in fact set their sights upon Vallus, who was more than happy to oblige in dealing with them. They had saved him the trouble of closing distance as they had all gone after him at once. Despite that, they still attacked him one at a time in the same method that they had done so before. There was a small difference, in which they were consecutively attacking him as opposed to waiting for an opening to strike. They struck shortly after one of their own was felled by his blade, keeping Vallus on his toes as he continued cutting through them like butter. Vallus was having no troubles in keeping up with them while keeping his attacking fluid and connected. No matter what method they used to try and catch him off guard, nothing was working for the heartless. A group attack would not be the way to go about it, nor would be sending he biggest guy they had to deal with them. The overwhelming force that Vallus, among basically everyone else, was something that they would need to think outside of the box to do. Whether or not they could actually do that is a different matter. And this is filler for an even 600 words.

As the girl continued to fight against the heartless, another neoshadow had moved its way towards her, aiming to do what the other heartless could not. With one swipe at the girl, she merely raised her hand up to block the first of its attacks. Stepping back, ducking against the attack of the next claw. As she did, she went for a counter attack of her own, punching towards the neo shadow, who surprisingly managed to leap backwards against the attack. Rushing forward, the girl let loose another punch towards the creature, which it managed to avoid with surprising deftness. Trying to retaliate, it let loose another claw swipe at her, to which the girl merely stopped her advance and raised an arm up. Blocking against the attack, she more parried with her fist then anything else. As the creature was now off balance, the girl grabbed onto its arm, the one she had just parried, as the creature tried to move away from her. With a death grip on the creature, the girl pulled the heartless towards her as it was now unable to escape. Clenching her fist tight, she let loose a singular strong punch at the creature's head, destroying it in a single head, which caused the rest of the body to follow. As she managed to defeat it, its body dissolving back into black smoke, the girl looked over towards the boy she had asked the question of earlier, as he seemed to be responding.

She had a look of disbelief on her face as he pointed towards the boy as he pointed towards his keyblade. She merely responded with a blunt, "I know what a keyblade is." Deciding to clarify a bit further she said, "I meant the glowing...ice thing you have. It's magic like, but it definitely isn't magic." As he then asked her name, she responded in a similar monotone fashion saying, "Aeira. And you?" Before she got her response, though, she was beset by yet another wave of heartless. With five more neoshadows making their way towards her, the girl didn't move from her spot, instead stomping on the ground. As she did, from seemingly nowhere, a collection of rocks started to orbit around her. With a simple punching motion, the rocks flew towards the neoshadows, each one finding a mark as they soared through the air. With each rock colliding with an enemy, that enemy was staggered and stopped what it was doing, its lunge being interrupted. While the rock seemed far less impressive than the power of her punches, it caused what Aeira was hoping to accomplish. With surprising swiftness, the girl moved towards the rest of the heartless, and without actually stopping her charged continued to let loose one punch after the other into the neoshadows. The creatures were destroyed as she hit them, their body dissolving back into black smoke.

Stratos continued to fight against the neoshadows, the heartless continuing to exude an offensive pressure against the boy. Trying to stop them before they could get close enough, the boy merely stopped himself, and focused as he started to take a deep breath in. With the cherry blossoms beginning to scatter through the wind, the boy looked at each of the heartless, trying to size up where the perfect place to strike was. As he determined it, the boy vanished, appearing on the other side of the swarm of heartless in a single instance. While normally only one cut was let loose on each of the heartless, this time, there seemed to be a cross cut, that soon expanded and cleaved the heartless in twain.

Things seemed to be moving faster and faster. He was not sure what it was but man the heartless were thinning faster then before. There was a large blast of fire explosion coming from the direction that the new people were in. the only reason he was able to some what see it was because a large puff of black smoke filled the air. For a moment the heartless that were around him looked over in that direction but then shortly after turned there attention back on to him. He did not quite blame them. If he was them he would not want to go over to where many people were at. Here they would know they would have to deal with one. The heartless were still swarming rapidly him. The Neoshadow heartless were not going to go away any time soon. That said he had taken out a good chuck of them in a small amount of time. He had to get rid of them as quick as possible which he seem to be doing at good job with at the moment. The darkball heartless on the other hand were not as annoying as the neoshaodw heartless nor as deadly or dangerous. Moving forward, he continued to fight against the neoshadow heartless as best as he could. While he definitely felt stronger than he normally would be. That was when the darkball hearrtless attacked again. Having avoided the attack by backing up to the palm tree and moving to the side. He looked back and it was time to go on the offensive. It was only for a moment, but the darkball heartless were all clustered up. Without wasting a moment, he seemed to be able to take out a few darkball heartless. A momentary pause and an unnatural stillness from those darkball heartless followed. He moved forward slightly and unleashed a flurry of blows before the one of the darkballs heartless could escape. His combo hitting was successful as the one of the darkball heartless faded into darkness. From the corner of his eye, he could see many of the smaller shadow heartless sinking into the ground and heading right for him. He moved back and began to stand far from the heartless as he could. He whacked his way through the wave as they mad there way towards him. The heartless were trying to reach him still desite his fighting style. He noticed that fighting the once adament heartless seemed relatively easy to him now. He kept moving until the large darkball blocked his path. He froze in place, backing up a bit at the size of the above average darkball heartless. He backed up and use his back ended up next to the same palm tree. While he was not the fastest, he thought that he could manage to race around behind the heartless before hitting the heartless with his knife. The power of the knife did a number on the darkball heartless, doing massive damage and causing the heartless to decrease in speed. Seizing his opportunity, he unleashed a quick torrent of slashes before the darkball heartless finally dispersed. He continued to look around for any of the massive darkball heartless, he had never seen before before backing up slowly. His back eventually hit something, as he was stunned before turning around. and saw that it was still the palm tree.

After having felled a swarm of neo shadows, it was apparent that their number was starting to dwindle quite rapidly. Stratos looked around, seeing the combined efforts of all the keyblade wielders around who had continued to put on an unrelenting pressure against these creatures. Though the enemy was great in number and strength, so to were the keyblade wielders. He had known there were two of the dark side heartless to begin with, but they were felled almost instantly by Mizu and her ice golem, Sprinkles. Then there was the strongest of the regular heartless, the Invisbles, heartless that wielded swords and possessed an oddly humanoid figure. Yet, within the blink of an eye, those too had been vanquished. With the two biggest threats being destroyed in almost an instant, all that left were the hordes of neo shadows and dark balls. And as Stratos looked around, what once looked to be an endless sea of darkness and yellow eyes, seemed to be significantly smaller. With the group having felled nearly half the neo shadows already, and not being too far off with the dark balls, the already motivated boy was feeling even more invigorated to finish the fight against this wave of heartless. Readying both of his keyblades, the boy looked towards the less marred waves of dark balls, and decided to take them on.

Running towards the dark balls, the boy charged both of his keyblades with ice as he rushed towards the heartless. Jumping into the air, the boy used both of his keyblades to slash twice at two separate dark balls, creating an icy cross against both of them before bringing down one hefty swing against both heartless. With his vorpal blitz having been finished, the boy continued to slash through the heartless with aerial combos as he moved through the waves. With each slash, he was able to keep his hang time in the air longer. To perpetuate this, the boy charged his blades with darkness, striking more and more, faster and faster through the horde of dark balls. As his splatter combo had finished, slaying a few of the dark ball heartless along the way, he went to finish off his onslaught with an aerial finisher. Striking four times with his keyblade, his aura started to flare up as he stroke grew heavier and heavier, causing heartless to gravitate towards his position. Slamming down both of his keyblades onto the epicenter of his gravity force attack, the boy let loose a large burst of force, propelling himself well into the air and destroying a large collection of dark ball heartless in the process. As he reached the apex of the height that his combo finisher had granted him, the boy began to descend once again. Some of the dark balls that had remained from his onslaught were now floating towards him, ready to intercept him on his way down. Uttering out a simple, "red slash," the boy charged his keyblades with magical force once again. With one being charged with fire and the other with lightning, the wave of heartless that tried to stop him on his way down were cleaved away in a single cross slash of elemental power. Landing on his feet, the boy merely twirled his keyblades as the heartless he slew exploded back into dark smoke.

Aeira, unsurprisingly, kept punching things. These things were heartless, of the neo shadow variety. These heartless tried their best to harm the girl, but she didn't seem to have any break in her stride as she continued to punch through the neo shadows.

After bringing his blade up into a guard, he then blocked the next attack as another of the darkball heartless came his way. The large darkball in the distance had appeared to be amused by his attemets of attacking. He made a gesture and fortunately for the keyblade wielder, there weren't any other darkball heartless of that massive of a size. He did not want to deal with another expolding darkball heartless but it looked like that was not a potion. Instead this time he choose to play the numbers game and had the smaller darkball heartless come towards him. four darkball heartless were sent his way, all grouped up to make it so that he would not be able to take them down in one strike. He knew that he was ruining low on energy he felt tired. He would have to rely on his own skills to deal with this threat, which was not too much of an issue as he had done this song and dance before. Not to mention he had a few more tricks up his sleeves. While he thought on this, the darkballs and neoshadows seemed to merge into the one being. This was not the case but they were so close together at this point they looked like one thing. The darkballs fortunately did not seem all that smart or maybe they were and this was all so he would lower his gard. The darkball heartless was not all that intimidating of a sight by, more strange. No matter the thoughts were pushed away and he went on the offensive and deal blow. It was successful in striking down some of the darkball. His original plan was to strike away at the darkball heartless untill it was gone. He had to deal with as mamny of the darkballs heartless as he could. As they floated his way they had fallen flat on the ground. Now he needed to think of something else while dodging the heartless's repetitive attacks on him. It may have been the same size as him, but its mass made its attacks slow and easy to dodge.

Everything around him seemed to be keeping up nearly as well as he was. He was fighting hard he could tell. There still there was hardly an end in sight. They would need to put a lot of work in in order to get any further with this fight. That being said the big threat still loomed over him in the form of the darkball heatless that was clumbted together. He would need to deal with this before he was allowed time to relax a bit. Then he might be able to deal with the small enemies. As much as hhe would like to join the fight reducing down the numbers, left unchecked this could be a problem. As long as he could not get those countless heartless under control he should not rest. be too much of a problem. Though having their numbers cut down by some now seemed to have made it somewhat easier. He could see them start to dart around him trying everything they could do to get to him. Jumping back a little to the palm tree. The darkball heartless did not seem to be giving him any chances. He had to get a chance to hit the darkball heartless. The next thing he knew the darkball heartless came towards him. As the mass of the group of dark heartless came at him he took a few swings clearly hurting. With a few more swings of his blade the drakball heartless was gone.

Heartless where falling left and right but it seemed like that they still had a long way to go before this was all over. Once it was said and done it would be interesting to see what would come next. Strike after strike that the darkball heartless did he dodged the darkball heartless as the came close. He was not sure how much damage they could do to him but he was not about to find out by getting hit. The largest drakball looked ready to try and kill him. Through all this he managed to close the distance between himself and the large darkball. He did not worry too much about the Iarge darkball heartless as soon he was sure it would be gone. He knew that the moment that he stopped moving left to right and back again there would be an attack again. He did not want the battle to come to him as it was easier for him to take out things slowly to the side. So he just made sure that he keept on was still hopping around so that if they did attack he would be ready. He was sure the heartless would miss if they attacked. These heartless seemed to be not only intelligent in the way the approached combat, but it also looked like they were pack hunters.

Catching his breath, he was a bit taken aback by the suddenness by which he was attacked by the creature. The boy felt a bit weird, having just fought so many but he knew this would not stop. Taking a deep breath, he began to focus on the opponent before him, before back stepping away from the heartless as it attacked him. The darkball heartless continued to put on the pressure. soon another dark ball had appeared behind him, mouth open. Stopping to not be bit by the creature, he stuck his hand out killing the one behind him. Now to take care of the one infrount of him as well. That was when the darkball heartless attacked again. Having avoided the attack by backing up to the palm tree and moving to the side. He looked back and it was time to go on the offensive. The heartless around him had to have been anticipating his first step because a darkball heartless with a little shadow heartless riding atop its head had flown directly in front of him. The shadow heartless struck first with its claws outstretched and was swiftly swatted it to the side. The darkball heartless on the other hand was more on the persistent side with its attacks and spent a bit flying around AJ, narrowly avoiding all of his attack that he threw at the heartless. When the heartless thought it say its chance to strike, it opened it mouth and prepared to strike. That proved to be a fatal mistake for he was able to dodge the attack and launch a counter attack of his own. Vaporizing the darkball heartless soon after. As the blonde settled down a bit more, he began to consider possibilities to get further out of the jam he had placed hhimself in.

596 Darkballs

 

After felling a large slew of the dark balls, the boy landed back on his feet, trying to see what needed to be done next. Though they were making great strides against the massive and plentiful waves of heartless it wasn't as though there work was close to finished yet. In just this wave alone there were still a numerous amount of heartless to get through and it wasn't as if the ones left were giant pushovers. This wasn't even imagining what else there was to come, after this wave, as the boy figured the person by the name of Hughes still had something up his sleeve. The man seemed pretty much insane, and while the group was making quick work of his endless waves of heartless, he didn't seem like a man who was being backed into the corner. Not yet at least. So, that merely meant that the boy needed to keep slaying heartless until they got him to that point. Getting ready to fight against more of the heartless, noticing a collection of neoshadows make their way towards him, the boy seemed ready to go and lay into them with his keyblades, when Aislinn had jumped into the fray taking the attention off of him and onto herself. The boy used this moment as a bit of reprieve, trying to collect his breath seeing as there weren't any more heartless trying to kill him right in that instance. Looking over to Aislinn he gave a wave saying, "thanks for the assist." Getting his keyblades readied, after the woman had managed to slay through her own swarm of heartless, the boy went back to work.

A large collection of dark balls were starting to make their way over to him, maws at the ready to chomp down on him. They too were plentiful in number, a much larger than normal swarm coming to attack him, yet the boy didn't move to run away from them. Instead, he merely moved at them head first. Jumping up, the boy swung his keyblades at the open mouths of the dark balls as they went to bite at him, effectively parrying the attack before the jaw could clamp down on him. As he did, he was pushed back a bit by the recoil of the attack, but, with so many dark balls in the air, he managed to land on one of them, using his feet to propel upwards into the air. Continuing this process, he managed to slash through a few heartless at a time, managing to slay them as he continued to leap up and off of them like floating platforms. However, this was eventually stopped as the dark balls were starting to form a wall in his way and bunch around him. Needing an easy way out, and fast the boy charged himself with a familiar rainbow lightning. The energy went into his keyblades, charging them up as well as his blades turned into white light swords made of pure energy. One of them then ignited as the other froze over, as the boy shouted, "Link Synchro: Sanctum Slash!" With a large cross slash, the boy managed to cut a swath through the dark balls that were attacking him.

Aeira continued to punch punch punch the neo shadows. They weren't exactly all that difficult to deal with at this point. Though their movements were erratic and they themselves were fast, Aeira could start to see an order in the chaos of how they fought. She had found herself in a steady rhythm of punches, continuing to strike one after the other into the neoshadows, managing to almost effortlessly dodge their attacks and strike back with patient, measured movements.
