Kingdom Hearts: Recollect

Being ignored certainly wasn't what she wanted, but Daeni knew that Chrono had way more things on his mind. When Mora finally reappeared and spoke to them, she turned to look at the girl and tapped her chin. If it meant Ria would be dealt with, that'd be grand. Although, whoever would lead was a stupid idea at this point. It was quite obvious who should lead at this point. After all, she was the only one with any idea on what they could do in the first place. "Girl...lead." Daeni muttered, crossing her arms. She looked at Alder and tilted her head. She wanted to ask if he was okay, but it was kinda obvious he wasn't. None of them were okay at this point. The only thing keeping them going was their will to destroy Ria and get back their memories.

Mora looked between all of them and started, "Well... Ria kept mumbling to themselves a couple of times. I... I don't know like he was having some sort of conversation with multiple people... I don't get it myself. But one time, he was talking about how some.. extractor's functions didn't finish, which is why it worked out in his favor. And he mentioned the scientist who worked on it... I, don't know his name but I know where he lived. Maybe, we need to find a way to make it so the extractor completes it's function?" Mora looked unsure, like she didn't know too many details about it, but she looked like she thought it made sense, "I don't know if you guys have a better idea... but uh, I know a place Ria can't get us in. It's, well, it's the house I was hiding in before... there's a protective magic around it he gets repelled by. We could try and get there to talk it out without worrying about... you know." Mora looked around to make sure heartless weren't already popping up.

Daeni listened and sighed. While the extractor was destroyed, if they could find the scientist, perhaps they could make another. But what if it was Aevum? Chrono didn't seem like he wanted to even be Aevum right now, so perhaps that was out of the question.

Maybe they ought to follow Mora. She was the only one around that could even help them at this point. Everything else had gone to the dumps after all. "Let's go." Daeni stated.

The extractor had some unfinished functions? Well it was no surprised that it was something else that he didn't know, but he wondered as to what else it was supposed to do and just how was it supposed to deal with Ria. Alder did have a point though, any notes left behind would likely have those answers and this time he would be certain to read any information before something else comes and prevents him from doing so. "Let's get this over with then."

Mora began leading the group out of the cave, looking occasionally back over to the sleeping people still in the world as she rose up the ladder. Once above, she kept the hatch open and waited until everyone was caught up before she began making her way back towards the village. When she got to the end of the path, which opened up to a clearing, that was when she noticed all of the heartless surrounding the home she intended to lead them too... including the dark side.

Mora freaked out and looked over at the rest of them and said, "We... we're gonna have to fight through them... I don't know if you guys can get all of them, but we need to get into that house." she pointed towards it, where there seemed to be this invisible bubble around the house keeping the heartless from getting inside, but some of them were persistent and running into the barrier only to fade away. A couple of shadows noticed the team and began running up to meet them. It would be a lovely sight if they were friendly and wanted some hugs, but it was clear they were out for blood.

There is no set amount of posts or heartless destroyed, just make it convincing.

The massive horde of heartless was imposing enough sure, but wasn't all that fazed by what he saw. Something that was made clear when his first action was to punt a shadow heartless that had gotten close to him. Hadn't even made an attempt in attacking him yet, it just happened to stop right at his feet. "Good, I could use a way to vent all this frustration." Keyblade appeared in his hand and he went to attacking the smaller heartless. Not cause Alder had said so, but unless they all were going to focus on it, who in their right mind would attack it by themselves.

Following Mora was easy enough. She kept close to the girl while also watching every direction she could as they walked towards the house. She decided that it was her duty to keep guard of everyone. Daeni was not going to lose another comrade to Ria. No comrade will fall prey to Ria's plans or powers. Sure she was still scared to her core, but right now, she had to be brave. She just had to push forward, no matter what happened. In a sense, she felt like she was starting to get over her fears, even if it was only a little bit at a time.

As they approached the house, Daeni saw what stood before them and hissed. "Stupid heartless." she muttered, whipping her keyblade out to her right side. She held it out and felt a wave of magic reach the tip of her keyblade as she ran forward and lifted her keyblade high up. She watched as lightning cracked down on the heartless, taking out a few and injuring others. Daeni hopped backwards and waited for another heartless to attempt to attack her.

Just as Chrys strayed out from under his shelter, the swarming horde immediately converged... upon his newly arrived allies. Some made for him too, of course, but the amount was considerably lesser. Summoning Light Seeker with a flick of his wrist, Chrys flipped the weapon to his preferred reverse stance before charging into the fray. He wasted no time in casting some Zero Gravity magic, rendering several of his opponents temporarily helpless as he leapt to attack from above. It was a strange form of combat that he was using, he realized, as it was like wielding an axe or large mace in reverse grip. A feat that would normally require a much larger amount of skill and precision than he possessed... at least currently. However, the size and shape of the keyblade made it considerably easier on him, allowing for the blocks, parry's, and nimble twirls that he could normally only dream of performing while using such a stance.

His battle style, it seemed, was to somehow be precise in the manner of which he smashed his opponents. A style that was aided by his debilitation magic. Speaking of such, he cast a stop spell as he evaded an attacking shadow, leaping into the air once more to remove himself from the direct center of the active crowd.

It seemed they all had quite the fight ahead of them.

Chrono's assault continued by taking care of two of smaller heartless that had approached him. They would be here forever if they stayed here trying to defeat each and every single heartless that was here before making a break for the house. In that regard Chrono did agree with what Cerdic had said. That was the only thing that he did agree with however. Personally given how large and slow that the Darkside was, he figured that they would be able to easily get past it after cutting a path to the house. When he went on and attacked it by himself, there was little more that he could do other than to follow behind him when the other fist had made contact with the ground. Chrono struck at it as many times as he could behind it was raised up, at which point he backed away and kept an eye on both the Darkside and any stray heartless that might try to sneak up on him.

Cerdic's idea was honestly the better one. While Alder was right about staying together, perhaps destroying the darkside would be better. Daeni watched it and waited. She watched and watched, deciding to try something. She pointed her keyblade at it's head and shot a fire spell at it. It was weak, but she could tell the giant heartless was affected by it. It rubbed it's face and stayed standing longer than when Cerdic had attacked it's arms. It looked like it didn't even care when he attacked it.

So Daeni did something dangerous. She ran forward, past Cerdic, and jumped onto the arm of the Darkside. She stabbed her keyblade into it's arm and started jumping up onto it's shoulder. She stood there, once again stabbing her keyblade into it's shoulder, and waiting for it to stand up or be still. When the opportunity came, Daeni started to whack it's head a few times. After a good 6 or so hits, she was forced to jump back down. She landed hard and fell forward, groaning a little from the height.

Chrono had been doing a good job at both avoiding the smaller heartless attacking him and dealing with them while avoid the ever encroaching attacks from the Darkside. It had gone in for another strike aimed for him and naturally he dodged it. The hand from that attack slowly started its ascent, something that didn't stop Daeni from climbing up it to get some hits in. The tactic itself was all fine and dandy, but the issue of getting back down remained. Moments later Daeni came crashing down to the ground, groaning at her landing.

Both of the Darkside's limbs were out of reach and couldn't be attacked, however this time he's legs weren't left surrounded by various smaller heartless, making them very easy targets for Chrono. Tightening his grip on his keyblade, Chrono dashed forth and gave two powerful strikes at the appendages before backing away.

 

While the others had been fighting the Darkside, Chrys had continued to fight off the legions of shadows that spawned around them. It seemed that the rest of L.I.G.H.T. had yet to notice him. According to Cerdic though, the Darkside should be just about done.

"I've got it."

Zooming around to the front of their mutual opponent, Chrys slammed his foot down on the final step to create a small anti-gravitational field, causing several smaller shadows to drift into the air. He lifted his keyblade and cast another spell: Stop. Now frozen in mid-air, the shadows positioned into stepping stones that he swiftly navigated up to the beast' head.

His first order of business was to do a quick slice as he sped towards his target, followed by him grabbing one of the creature's dreadlocks as he passed. Using the momentum, he flipped himself up and over it for a crushing quick blitz. Maintaining his grip, He dragged the creature down to the ground with him, slamming it's face against the surface. He finished it off with an overhead blow.​

The sudden sight of the heartless floating in the air had caught him off guard and prevented him from making one last attack on the darkside. This didn't change much as Chrys had dashed off to deal the final blow to the Darkside. With everything that he's had to sit through recently, the fact that the Chrys was still alive was very much a well needed relief. The Darkside slowly began the process of fading away like defeated heartless always tended to do, removing the biggest obstacle. Still that left the swarm of smaller heartless all around them, something now easily avoidable for all of them. "Let's hurry up and get to the house now."
