The ground shook in a violent tremor and the ground began to crack. Tendrils of darkness began to rise from the ground around Illiana and Aria. The moon and stars were now obscured from sight leaving the only sources of light on the streets the lamps on every corner and the lighting coming out of the windows of houses in the area. The cracks in the ground began to spread outwards as more black smoke began to rise. Soon the cracks had begun to spread through every part of Eventide.

"I came back as soon as I could." Choma's voice came from behind Take and Mika. "As soon as I felt the darkness. We need to regroup and stand to defend this world from becoming just another empty spot in the night sky." Choma's keyblade was already out as he knew the Heartless would be coming soon. "Mika, Takehiko, keep your keyblades out. Expect a battle soon. We are not going to abandon this world–these people to fall to the dark."

"Follow my lead, the alleyway will have to wait. We need to get to the source of this darkness." Choma charged ahead, following where his senses led him sidestepping whenever he came across a new fissure in the ground with black tendrils spewing out. He had seen a world fall before but even that case had not been as extreme as this. He wondered if anything could be done to stop it. Whereas it took hours the first time he had seen it happen this time it looked so much worse. Choma made it to the park where, directly overhead, black clouds circled about. The only way to get everyone's attention and get them here would be if he sent out a beacon. So, raising his keyblade to point to the sky...

Choma sent out a ray of light from his keyblade that shot straight to the sky signalling for all the other keyblade wielders to get to his location at the park.

The more this man spoke to them, the more Chrono questioned what he was doing here. Whatever it was that they were looking for must've been important and also had a part of him wanting to explore more of this mansion to see what else was inside. That clearly wasn't an option now given that the man in black had summoned a keyblade of their own and had it aimed right at them. When Tinarah had stepped out past him, Chrono's attention was directed to her due to him not expecting it at all.

Getting anymore information out of this guy was clearly not going to happen and which while that did bug Chrono, it wasn't as important when compared to how Tinarah was now standing in between the two of them. Chrono looked back to the violin case that had been left behind him by Tinarah and grabbed it. There was little reason for them to still be here given the turn of events that the situation had taken. The visibility in the room had gotten dimmer due to the changes that had occurred outside. With a slightly annoyed click of his tongue, he waited til Tinarah had gotten closer before leaving the mansion.

"Better hurry. The Heartless won't be far behind." He called out after them. The manor began to collapse as Chrono and Tinarah fled leaving the hooded male behind. "Damn. Maybe it wasn't here to begin with." He looked up as the chandelier above him swayed while the ground beneath him rumbled. "This world, too, will fall..." He spoke grimly and stepped out of the entrance. He watched as the two keyblade wielders grew more distant from him though not before the girl had given him a name to be wary of. Choma. "Choma." He repeated out loud. Turning his head to watch the beacon of light he stepped forward heading in its direction albeit slowly due to his injury.

    I

The ground beneath Aria cracked open and the fissure underneath her began to spew darkness, blinding her before she could move any further. The quakes in Eventide began to intensify and more fissures formed, the ground shifting to separate Aria from Illiana and the safety of almost-solid ground. The floor beneath Aria began to collapse and in an instant a sinkhole formed leaving Aria to fall into the crater and into a pit of never-ending darkness.

    Aria was gone.

Tinarah stuck close to Chrono, her keyblade still in hand. She let Chrono carry her violin for her, since they were in a bit of a hurry to get away from the man who had threatened them. There was no time to debate who held it. As they cleared the mansion, the ground began to shake and the mansion collapse, and Tinarah found herself stopping. She was terrified of the man inside, terrified that he was going to hurt her again. For a moment she found herself rolling up the same sleeve that held her keyblade and looking at the scars that marred it, but then she looked at the keyblade, and thought of everything Choma, and Chrono had taught her about strength. She glanced at her brother then back at the mansion. She couldn't do it. He was hurt. She knew what it was like to be hurt and cornered. Maybe he acted out that way because he was scared. She could help that couldn't she? She had to at least try.

"We can't leave him! Find Master Choma so we can get proper help. I am going to help him." Tinarah turned around and looked at the crumbling mansion that they had just fled from. The earth shook and the mans last words to them still rung in her ears, but she wasn't going to leave someone in need. She could defend herself now. She wasn't completely helpless, Choma had taught her how to defend herself to at least some extent. There training might have been short but she was still trained to some extent.

Keyblade in hand she found herself stumbling a little as she reached back towards the manner.
"Come with us!" She called out hoping the man was still there to hear her. "We can help you. I will patch up your wounds but you can't stay here. Don't be afraid, we won't hurt you." She said tried to assure him as she held out a free hand to him to help. She swallowed as another piece of the mansion crumbled behind him. "I can help you get out of here. It won't be safe if the walls around the property start falling too. Let me help you." She said softly to him, clearly a little nervous as she inched her way closer to him, hoping that he wouldn't attack her. She was just trying to be nice. Her blue eyes were soft, pleading even, asking him to let her help him out of the mess they were in.

As the two of them started to head away from the manor, Chrono took note of the shining light in the sky. Amidst all of the darkness that was surrounding it, not only did it stick out like a sore thumb but did it serve as a beacon Chrono looked down towards Tinarah to see if she had noticed it and found her...scars? It was scars that were on her arm. The first thing that popped into Chrono's mind was were did these scars come from. Right before he could ask, she'd run off to help the man from earlier.

"Tinrah, wait!" If her plan was to damn near give him a heart attack, then she succeeded. He wasn't just going to up and leave her with the guy who had just threatened them with their keyblade. Not a single thing about that was good at all. With violin case in had, Chrono went after Tinarah and grabbed hold of her wrist once he'd caught up with her. "If he wasn't lying about the heartless, then we don't have time to waste with healing him." Not to mention he didn't trust this guy at all. He couldn't care less what happened to him, but was much more concerned about getting Tinarah away from the potential threat he still was.

As Illiana and Aria continued to walk, the ground beneath them had started to tremble. Illiana lifted her umbrella a bit as she and Aria stopped walking. "What in the world?" Illiana had begun to question the small tremor before the ground started to violently shake. Tears and cracks had begun to form in the ground everywhere around them. Illiana turned around but before she could move, the ground between her and Aria had split. "Aria!! Start moving!!" Illiana closed her umbrella to figure out how to get out of this situation. The quakes had begun to intensify as fissures had begun to form around Eventide. Before she could even blink, Illiana turned around toward Aria's direction but nothing could have prepared her for what happened. The ground beneath Aria had begun to crumble away. As if everything was moving in slow motion, Aria had begun to fall into the crater into the darkness that awaited her. Illiana ran to try and reach for Aria's hand but by the time she could reach out her hand....it was too late. Her eyes shook a bit as she looked into the bottomless darkness. She sat back up on her knees as she looked up into the sky. "ARIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Illiana screamed out her name into the sky. How many people were going to come into her life only to leave when she least expected? Punching the ground for a bit,, Illiana had casted an unreadable expression on her face.

Light Chaser? Keyblade Masters? Sifting through the bits and pieces of memories he could grasp at, Glyde came up short-handed. Not much of what Atmos had said resonated with much meaning in relation to his past. However, how much had really even known at the time? He was only child, and children often missed out on the important information; adults always seemed to see to that, even on worlds where the kids were completely autonomous. Still, the thought of worlds disappearing was a provoking one, and made him feel slightly less alone in spirit.

He continued to dwell on this information for as long as he could.

But 'as long as he could' turned out to not be all that long at all.

Overhead, a sudden change descended like a hail upon the previously calm atmosphere of the village. The calm, clear skies were choked by the foreboding, thick veil of dark clouds, racing in a fast-forward pace to blanket the town. As a gale of wind kicked against Glyde, whipping his hair and clothing about, the sense of ominous danger took root, pressing against the walls of his chest. Not again. He looked to Atmos, a gleaming hint of fearful expectation unmasked in his eyes, and asked. "You're sure I'll be able to fend for myself? What can I do?"

Take had never seen anything like this before.

It was actually rather terrifying, seeing the fissures appear in the earth while he followed Choma... well... more out of panic than duty. He was trying to wrap his head around the environmental changes. And when Choma told him and Mika to keep their keyblades at the ready, Take summoned it out pretty much immediately. Keeping himself in a position where he could attack an opponent at any point. He followed Choma's patterns mainly because he assumed a fissure would not suddenly appear there right after Choma stepped. He was wrong a few times though, and tripped up to get to a safe space of land before he was able to hold his ground and take a deep breath before whispering,
    "This is a nightmare..."

It reminded him of when the dragons could not be held back, and his home would fall apart. This only happened once or twice in his lifetime but every time it happened it was just as scarring. After all the time rebuilding, becoming comfortable... you never really could. And Takehiko had taken this whole experience as comfort so far. He wasn't worried his home would burn to the ground and the ground would shake as if the very world was screaming for help. Take would never make that mistake of becoming too comfortable again.

As he continued following Choma, he kept occasionally looking back to make sure nothing happened to Mika and her cat. If anything happened he was ready to leap back, even if he was ill prepared to face what was attacking. That's just how he was, and probably how he'd always be. He just hoped everyone else was okay... if he believed in prayer, this would be a time he'd use it.

Mika shivered as cracks began to appear all over the ground. The world seemed to shake and Mika was honestly quite terrified, not that she would admit it and was trying her hardest not to show it. Feeling Nini, shake in her arms, she held the cat tighter, petting the cat in an attempt to calm them both down. So when her master told them to take out their keyblades, Mika knew things would probably only get worse. Pausing quickly, the young woman knelt down, taking her backpack off her back and carefully putting her cat back into the bag. "Don't argue," Mika said, scolding the cat, fear seemingly evident in both their eyes.

After the bag was safely on her back, the young woman jumped up, summoning her keyblade in her hands. The keyblade seemed to glow in her hands and Mika couldn't help but smile and felt a little better about the situation. She sighed deeply, wiling away her aniexty, and followed Choma and Take. She was grateful when she noticed Take looking back at her and sent the boy a small smile, jumping away from the fissures that appeared in the ground (and being quite relieved that none of the cracks had been able to catch up to her). She just hoped the others had been as lucky as she, Take, and Master Choma.

Shocked by the girl's display of compassion the hooded male froze when she offered her hand out towards him as he had been certain he had done enough to scare her and her companion off. It was only then, with her hand being held out, did he see the light in her eyes. She could not have been allied with the one he had sought. He allowed his keyblade to disappear and just as he was about to accept her offer of help her companion came to her side and grabbed Tinarah's wrist in an attempt to keep the girl away from him. The ground shook once more. Knowing that now was not the time to be picky over choosing allies he reached up to grip his hood. "I thought you were working for him. This...Choma person, he is your master I assume. He can't be the same person plunging these worlds in darkness." He pulled his hood off to reveal his face. "I'm sorry about earlier. We seem to be on the same side for the time being." His eyes looked off into the distance where a beacon was shining--the epicenter of the darkness.

"The name's Torrin." Once more, his keyblade was back in hand. "I can still move so don't wait up for me."

Atmos placed her hand on Glyde's shoulder for a moment and gave him a firm look in the eye. "Calm yourself. I would not have kept you in the castle had you not had the power to wield the keyblade. Let your heart be your guiding key and everything will fall into place. You have the strength to fight but even if you are not strong enough to stand against the darkness on your own, you will have allies beside you to ease that burden." Atmos raised her head to gaze at the beacon in the distance knowing Choma had sent it to alert everyone where to go. Atmos motioned for Glyde to follow after her as she summoned her keyblade and ran forward. "Come! The others need us!"

    θ

Shadows began to sprout from the ground. Soldiers begin crawling from the fissures in the ground. The park, ground torn from the quakes but still just stable enough to stand on, was the central point of the spreading darkness. In the night sky a black vortex formed as clouds began to swirl around the tear in the sky.

Choma watched as Heartless began to sprout from the ground like dark flowers but even as they began to surround him his eyes shifted their focus on the sky above. A dark rift was forming far above the town and it wouldn't be long until even stronger Heartless arrived. Heartless that he knew the young students were not prepared to handle. "Strength in numbers." He muttered under his breath. The others, including an unfamiliar face a young man who Tinarah and Chrono had brought along, arrived not long after himself, Mika, and Take. The questions he wished to asked would have to wait. As everyone arrived, safe and sound, Choma noticed one was missing...Aria. A pit formed in the depths of his heart but he could not afford to let pain and distract him now. Not when there were still so many lives at stake.

"Atmos! We must get that rift sealed before more powerful Heartless come through!" The man shouted, charging ahead. "Keep the Heartless from spreading! We must save this world from falling!" Choma called out to the students as he and Atmos, who now joined his side, leapt into the sky. The two masters' keyblade changed form turning into gliders to propel them upwards into the sky to battle whatever dark forces resided above.

Still clutching his wound with his free hand, Torrin stood behind Tinarah and Chrono. The young man's eyes gazed upward towards the sky as two keyblade masters flew off in some attempt to stop the world from being overtaken but as he looked around the state of Eventide Town he knew it would only be a matter of time before it fell. "Not exactly how I pictured going down. Here. Let me show you how it's done."

He raised his keyblade ready to strike and in one swing cut down a Soldier Heartless and on a second cut he managed to catch another Soldier with the end of his blade. He aimed his keyblade at a group of Shadows in the distance and a burst of ice came from his keyblade, freezing and shattering the Heartless instantly. Then the pain came, causing him to hunch over and breathe heavily as if he had just ran a marathon. The ache of his muscles made him realize his body was not up for such heavy exertion. "Damn...On second thought...I'll hang back and keep the stragglers from getting out of the park and into the town." Torrin stepped back slowly, backing out of the fight to leave it up to the others.

Tinarah smiled a bit as the strange man was about to reach out and take her hand. However before he could, Chrono had caught up to her and grabbed her wrist. Unaware of who it was behind her, she jumped making a little bit of a panicked shriek. Turning her head slightly she noticed it was Chrono and relaxed a little bit, however still cringing at where he held her wrist. While her scars were mostly healed they could still be tender, and often were a sensitive topic for Tinarah. "We can't leave him here. He is hurt we need to help him so no one else can hurt him." Tinarah was more quiet now, almost shying away from Chrono, hoping he wasn't too mad at her. However the man spoke up again and Tinarah looked up at him looking a little surprised. "Master Choma would never do such things. He is really good, he saved me and brought me in." Tinarah insisted.

Just then the ground started to shake again. It was an effort in order to keep herself upright. Tinarah was unsure when he told them to go ahead, she looked from the man, then to Chrono.
"We can't completely leave him behind." She whispered before allowing Chrono to lead her away towards the light in the sky. She was confident that was where their friends were, so while the situation as a whole scared her, heading there didn't.

Just as Tinarah arrived, heartless seemed to be appearing. She was scared, hiding behind Chrono a little bit. Tinarah didn't feel ready to deal with a real battle yet, the man, who had earlier introduced himself as Torrin stepped up to show then what he could do. Tinarah was in awe, especially as he used the ice magic. She thought it was amazing to see. However shortly after he backed off in pain.
"I'll protect you. You need to heal." Tinarah insisted. She didn't know much about fighting, so she chose to look towards the shadows to protect him. Perhaps Chrono would jump in to help as well, but Tinarah couldn't rely only on her brother. She learned that a long time ago, that was why she needed to become strong.

Even when the man had given them his name, Chrono still had some doubts about him. Doubts and a whole lot of questions that he wanted answers to. Like what was it that Torrin was looking for in the manor when they had encountered him and where had Tinarah gotten those scars from. The ground shaking was another sign of now wasn't the best of time to start asking questions.

The situation waiting for them at the park was worse than what they saw at the manor. Heartless were crawling about everywhere and the only option that was available for them to deal with them was to fight. Now if it was just a couple of heartless, then Chrono would've felt a bit better about facing them with the small amount of training that he'd gotten. That and there was still his mother's violins case in his other hand. Something that he would need to take care of.

In his other hand Chrono summoned his keyblade in time to defend against an attack from a soldier heartless that had noticed him. It jumped back after its first attack and went in for another one, this time it was met with the end of his keyblade as Chrono dispatched it.
"In that case, both of you stick behind me." Given that one of them was much more capable than him if not for the fact that they were injured, it was odd telling Torrin to stick behind him. Another solider heartless had appeared and nearly caught him off guard. Chrono stumbled slightly due to his attempt to dodge it, regained his footing and mounted a counterattack that finished off the heartless.

Take went after a soldier but he wasn't ready and also Take just totally could not hold onto the keyblade and it went flying in another direction and ended up killing two shadows. Considering the fact he had been trained with swords for years he wasn't sure what the point of this training was if he couldn't even hold the blade properly but whatever things died and he didn't go into maximum overdrive

Illiana had picked up her umbrella as heartless had begun to form throughout the town. She rose to her feet as the shadows slowly crept closer to the girl. Her face had remained unreadable as her eyes became cold as steel. She opened her umbrella as she laid it on her right shoulder. "If you are looking for any fights, this is not the place nor time. It's quite pathetic to even try. If you want to avoid obliteration, I would suggest leaving now." Not heeding her warning, the heartless continued to creep closer and closer to her. She shook her head as she lowered it in disappointment. "I tried to show mercy but you continue to persist.........Very well then. Have it your way then." Two shadows had leaped into the air as they launched their attack on Illiana. Lifting her umbrella, she pushed the umbrella against the shadows and tossed them up further into the air. Closing her umbrella, she flung it into the air. "Aperta!! Lumios Star!!" Her umbrella had begun to glow as it begun to take on an entirely different shape. As the glow faded, her umbrella had became her keyblade. Catching her keyblade by its handle, the shadows began to fall toward Illiana. She slashed through the air causing the two shadows to disappear. She lifted her head as a soldier began to rush her. Illiana had back handspringed away from it, twisting her body to toss her keyblade at the soldier. Landing on the ground, her keyblade returned to her hand as it struck through the soldier. "Shall we continue this dance ballad?" Illiana had awaited for next swarm of heartless to come rushing at her.

Keyblade huh? He had already surmised the significance of the Keyblades from what Atmos had told him. Yet it wasn't until he saw hers firsthand that Glyde knew with certainty what they were, and that it was that very sort of weapon that he had grasped for dear life a mere week earlier. But how do I use it again?

Delayed by his own musings, Glyde sprinted to get back to pace with Atmos' stride; at such speed, they were both at the heart of the action in short time. Visible within a short distance, the young Keybearer could clearly view the other students, and the other Master, battling vigorously against a mob of dark, shadow-veiled creatures. Those things... but what are they? He ran closer to the fighting, the unfolding events becoming easier to distinguish.

Taking his cue from both Atmos and the students, Glyde determined that he'd need a Keyblade to battle the dark creatures. Though he wasn't sure exactly how to call his, he tried anyways. With his right hand outstretched before him, he concentrated on the sheer thought of the Keyblade, hoping that that would be enough to summon it. Let your Heart be your guiding key, he quoted to himself.

"Whoa!" he jumped back as an all-black, yellow-eyed shadow creature lashed out from the ground before him, breaking his train of thought. Suddenly, he felt weaker than he had been; staring down the creature unnerved him... and perhaps that was why he had just been attacked so boldly; they'd all know he was easy prey. "I can't be," he spat. He glared at the small creature, forcing himself to remain composed. He reeled back his right as though winding up for a gratuitously forceful punch. Let your Heart be your guiding key and everything will fall into place. A burst of light from behind him, and the feeling of a hilt within his fingers, told him that it had worked. With great mental and emotional effort, he swung the weapon forward and across, slashing at the creature once, and then twice, after which its form diminished and dispersed into a wisp of black smoke.

Mika froze as everything around her.... basically started to go to ****. Making sure Nini was safe in her bag on her back, Mika breathed deeply and forced herself to move. In a clean strike of her blade, the young woman took down three of the Shadow Heartless as if they were nothing. However, after this move, Mika was left breathless, a bit in awe of the fact that she'd actually been able to destroy them (and she wasn't going to lie. She was rather proud of herself as well). "Hey Take, you doing okay?" the young woman asked her partner, a tad amazed at his ability to defeat the heartless as well.

Shadows swarmed around the group and began jumping and clawing at the keyblade wielders. Some of their attacks missed entirely but four were unable to dodge in time.

Chrono was hit for 2 Damage (18/20HP)
Take was hit for 4 Damage (16/20HP)
Illiana was hit for 4 Damage (16/20HP)
Torrin was hit for 3 Damage (22/155HP)

The storm raged on as the ground continued to shake. An updraft in the distance began to tear at the ground, ripping a tree from the park and sucking it into the black vortex in the sky. If one looked up they would see flashes of light coming from Masters Choma and Atmos as they discharged spells against in their aerial battle.

Torrin had stepped back to get a better view of the field of battle only to find himself getting clawed at by a measly shadow...a shadow that, in his weakened state, he was too slow to stop from striking him. He took the shadow down with his keyblade and clutched winced upon seeing the new claw marks on his arm. Heartless were starting to spread out and get out of the park and into the town. "Not today you don't." He spoke through gritted teeth as he pulled the hand clutching the wound on his side away to aim his palm at a group of fleeing heartless. In an instant an orange ball of fire shot forth and exploded, destroying several shadows. Torrin staggered forth and dug his keyblade into the ground to keep his balance. "I don't think I can do that again..."

Around her, the other wielders fought the heartless as well. While there was quite a few of them fighting, there seemed to be a lot more heartless than she first though and that seemed to be causing problems. While at first Tinarah hoped that they could fight them with ease, it was starting to seem not as simple of a task as she had thought it to be. Tinarah had already known that she wouldn't be much of a help in this, but she looked up to the other students of Choma, as well as her brother, she had thought that they would be doing a lot more. It wasn't that they weren't doing stuff on their own, she was just keeping pace with them, something Tinarah hadn't expected. Or at least she was keeping pace to some extent, though she didn't touch the soldiers like some were fighting, but she was doing pretty good with the shadows in her own opinion.

Chrono ordered her behind him if she was going to try and protect Torrin, so that is what she did. She took only a couple steps back but now her brother lay between the biggest mass of heartless and her, and by extension Torrin. There were still heartless around both of them, but at least it felt a little safer, or Tinarah thought until she saw Torrin get scratched out of the corner of her eye. Temporarily distracted Tinarah watched as he took out the heartless that hurt him before he turned to other heartless and blasted them with fire. Tinarah jumped a bit at that, no sure what to think of it. It was cool, but also a bit of a scary power. It was so powerful though. Torrin however soon was leaning against his keyblade for support and Tinarah's eyes widened.

Rushing to his side Tinarah looked a little panicked.
"Don't push yourself. You don't want to get more hurt. Find somewhere safe and rest, please." Tinarah insisted before turning around having to focus her attention to some shadows that were near by. She knew that she couldn't protect him from the bigger things, she didn't think she was capable of handling those heartless, but at least she could keep the shadows at bay and hope that Chrono could deal with the rest. Tinarah didn't move far from Torrin as she started to fend off the heartless closest to them. She just did her best to keep herself going though Tinarah was unsure now.

Chrono found himself being attacking by another soldier heartless shortly after he'd dealt with the previous two. He was able to block their attacks fortunately, but the following shadow had snuck up on him and managed to get a hit in. The place of impact stung, but it wasn't enough to keep Chrono from slashing at the shadow heartless that had attacked him.

His grip on his keyblade tightened as another heartless lunged towards him. Once more the attack was blocked and this time he dealt with another shadow that had tried creeping up on him by stabbing it before it could leave the ground. Following that Chrono turned slightly to strike at the soldier heartless that was near him. With the sheer amount of heartless that they were facing it was fortunate that they hadn't gotten to any 'tipping point' in the heartless's favor.

As the heartless continued their rampage, Illiana continued to dodge until she was unable to dodge a few attacks from the heartless. Illiana grabbed her arm and checked to see if she had sustained any wounds. She found only small scratches and few wounds but nothing to severe. Letting go of her arm, Illiana prepared herself for battle once more. She turned her head to find two soldiers on her right side. "Do I have you two nuisances to thank for these small wounds?" She narrowed her eyes before opening them again with a cold smile plastered on her face. She opened her mouth to speak once more. "Please allow me to return the favor!!!!" The soldiers started to run towards her as Illiana sprinted toward them. She took a hold of her keyblade with both hands and wounded up for a counterattack. Running through the soldiers, her keyblad swung through and returned to her right side. She stood up and with a snap of her fingers, the soldiers dissipated away. She turned back around to find more heartless waiting to be struck down by the keyblade.
