Within moments, Glyde was zipping through space, passenger aboard the lifeboat sailed by Jim. It was a smooth ride; smoother, he assumed, than Take's would have been. Still, he was compelled to find and grab hold of whatever handle-like pieces of boat that head could. It took a bit of doing, but eventually he was able to find enough balance to maintain a three-point contact. In theory, he could get away with only using one hand for this battle; that was all it took to wield his Keyblade.

As the lifeboats made their pass, rounding the side of the ship, Glyde aimed his Keyblade into the horde of Shadows. It was harder to be precise with moving targets while he too was moving at someone else's will. Rather than waste a single shot on a likely miss, he decided to use his elemental magic. "Fire," he spoke, as though giving it as a command. Bursts of flame erupted out around before him and into the swarm.

(Another post from my phone!!! I’ll go back and edit in my full post!!!!!)

As the lifeboat made its way to the swarm, Illiana grabbed onto the edge of the boat as if to keep her from flying off the boat. She grabbed her umbrella and held it out to her side. “Aperta!” The umbrella washed away its appearance as her keyblade shined forth. She slowly stood up and then began to aim at the swarm. “Ready.......Aim.......” A few moments had passed as fire began to gather at the tip of her blade. “Fire!!!” A ball of dire spewed forth from her blade and made its way to the swarm of Heartless still moving about. “This is just not my night....” Illiana sighed for a moment before looking over once more at the Heartless.

    Episode Tinarah: Part 7
    And Time Goes On

About a week after Tinarah had received her new violin Fost had arrived to visit her. He stayed for about an hour before having to leave to continue his business. The other master still seemed awkward around the small girl but he was clearly glad to her doing well. He visited one other time to check in on her several weeks later but after that he had gone silent in his communications again. At least until today.

"Master Fost has informed me that he has found an apprentice. A boy a few years younger than yourself. He has potential, like you." Stamatis folded his arms. "I know that when you came here you would have preferred to train with Fost but that would not have been possible. You see, you are not from this time and Fost holds a very special position amongst our order. He can only take one student and whoever is chosen must one day take the position from him until they too must pass it on. Under other circumstances I am sure he would have been happy to have you as his student but you cannot remain in this time forever." Though, given that Tinarah had yet to summon her keyblade, despite the advancement in her training, there was the smallest part of him that worried that by the time the girl returned to her own time she would no longer be the little girl who arrived.

During the long days Tinarahs birthday had come and gone, she had not mentioned such things however. Tinarah had chosen to keep not to bring the attention to herself. It seemed not important and without her family she felt like it wouldn't be as fun, instead just sad.

This particular day Master Stamatis decided to explain to her why she wasn't able to train with Fost. Tinarah looked quizzical before asking,
"what is his position then? Why is he so important?" she asked trying to understand fully. She wasn't as upset anymore but it was good to know. Over time in general she was happier, not better but progress.

"I cannot tell you the specifics of it but he is the keeper of a very precious item that must be passed down in order to keep the realms of light and dark stable." Stamatis scratched his chin as he thought over what else he could tell her. "Actually, he and I competed to be chosen by the master before him. That master had seen potential in both of us but ultimately decided Fost's disposition suited the job better than mine did. I was too..." He tapped his index finger against his chin as he tried to think of the word the previous master had used to describe him. "Social? Yes, that was it. Social. Though it doesn't seem like it these days." Stamatis smiled.

Well that explanation while it didn't answer the main question it did make a lot of things make more sense. "So it was more of a friendly banter when Fost brought me here. I always wondered where you two stood it makes so much sense now." Tinarah mentioned aloud. "if it makes you feel better I think you are a good teacher. Fost was always hard to tell what he was thinking.... He did save me though..." Tinarah kept talking. The days she chose to talk she spoke more and seemed happy for conversation. "Do you think he will visit again soon?"

"Why thank you Tinarah, it means a lot to hear you say that. And as for Fost, I believe he'll show up once he feels his own apprentice is capable enough to either be left to his own devices or ready to be visiting other castles. If all goes well you might have someone near your age to bond with." Fost clasped his hands behind his back and took in a deep breath. "There's some other news I have for you. I've recently found myself in the possession of a piano and, if you'd like, I wish for us to practice together to give us something else to break up the monotony."
"I don't... I don't know what I would do with someone my age... I... Well it was always just me and my brother.." Tinarah admitted a hint of sadness because her brother rejected her. Stamatis then changed the subject back to music. "I have... Well I've never played music with someone else before. I can try but I don't know if I will be any good." when it came to Music Tinarah wanted to be perfect.

"It'll be okay. The point is to relax not on being good, which I am confident you would be." He assured her. "Put your heart into it and the rest will fall into place." Stamatis added showing a small smile towards Tinarah.

Tinarah cocked her head to the side a bit listening to that. Perhaps he didn't understand what she was like when it came to music, or perhaps he understood completely and was trying to break her out of her shell. Either way it didn't hurt to give it a try. "Alright... I suppose we can try." She said. This was again another way of her connecting to people, something she was honestly a little afraid of. All at one time when coming here she got hurt so much emotionally, before that people had hurt her physically, and even before that her mom had been murdered, it was difficult for her to really want to find that connection to people, but it had been months now, she would have to at least try.

    Two years pass...

By now, Tinarah's self-defense lessons had moved beyond the basics and onto how to wield a blade. Given her age he had kept her training with a wooden blade up until just a few weeks ago to ensure that the techniques she practiced were being done correctly. The routines were still the same, regardless of how much easier basic chores were for her now. Even though she had made progress with her technique she was still unable to bring out her keyblade and, with having spent so much time here, Stamatis had noticed she had become more quiet. Though Tinarah had become more comfortable in the castle it had become apparent to him that she was growing frustrated with herself over her inability to return home. Fost had kept up his promise to visit her but it had not been enough to keep her from withdrawing into herself. She had even begun refusing to use her spare time to play music with him.

It had become time to switch things up. That morning, before even the first light of dawn, Stamatis knocked on Tinarah's door despite knowing she would still have been asleep.
"Get dressed. We're heading to another world." This had been the first time he had told her such a thing but enough time had passed. She needed a win.

As normal Tinarah was fast asleep during the early hours of the morning. She had been sleeping in more and more the more frustrated she became with herself. She no longer wanted to go to practice or play music with Stamatis. She had started to accept that she was never going to go home, and while she was learning to accept it, it was not easy to live with. She was falling into a more depressed state and not wanting to even try to do anything out of the ordinary. She got up and did her chores and then went to training like what was expected of her.

That morning there was a knock at the door drawing her from her sleep. Tinarah put a pillow over her head as Stamatis' muffled voice spoke to her. She wasn't going to listen right away, that was until he said something about another world. It was interesting enough.
"Coming." She murmured as she dragged her butt out of bed. By the time she staggered out of her room she wasn't fully put together. She was dressed, but her hair was a little bit of a mess still and she looked tired. "Where are we going?" She asked drowsily.

"Put this on." Stamatis held out a long black trench coat that was just about Tinarah's size. "We will be heading near the Realm of Darkness and that coat will serve as your protection." In Stamatis's free hand he held another coat, larger and obviously meant for him, as well as the sword Tinarah had trained with--a short sword with a black handle and nearly nonexistent hilt. "It will be dangerous so it is best that we come prepared." His voice had grown more serious compared to the normal tone of serenity he typically had.

"Your training has been going well but not nearly at the pace either of us anticipated. It is no fault of your own but merely a failure of my teaching." Stamatis added, waiting for Tinarah to put on the coat before he handed the blade over to her. As he began to put his own cloak on he remained silent and only once the hood had gone up did he speak once more.

"It is time to take your training to the next level."

When the Blizzard spell struck it appeared to miss the swarm of Heartless save for a lone Shadow that caught the blast. The area of effect spells like Fire and Thunder seemed to do more harm, destroying several Shadows within the Demon Tower. The spells cast against the Demon Tower caused it to behave more erratically as it came spiraling towards them. The swarm swooped in once more, the mass of Heartless spreading to claw and scratch at everyone on the boats, violently shaking both vessels in the process.

    Illiana took 5 damage! (20/25HP)
    Chrono took 11 damage! (24/35HP)
    Take took 10 damage! (35/45HP)
Aria was critically hit for 6 damage! (29/35HP)
    Glyde took 5 damage! (25/30HP)

Jim's Life Boat took 13 damage!
Take's Life Boat took 11 damage!

    Jim's Life Boat: 77/100HP
    Take's Life Boat: 79/100HP

    Demon Tower: 154/180HP

Upon being damaged orbs of condensed magical energy began being dropped by the Demon Tower. You remember that your master had once spoken of such things being dropped by powerful foes but had only seen it in demonstrations before.

Now, a choice is presented to the pilots of the life boats:

    1. Hang Back - Continue casting magic at a safe distance and reduce the damage your life boat will take in the next turn.
    2. Follow the Magic - Speed up and focus on gathering magical orbs. Doing this restores 5MP for each person on the boat.
    3. Demon Surfer - A dangerous option that puts your boat within the swarm of Heartless but allows you to damage it with physical attacks.

Upon having seeing how her friends utilize magic, Aria has learned Thunder!

Time passed. During her time within the castle Atmos had received a history lesson from King Joch that even she had never heard before. She had heard that long before the Keyblade War there had been another war between those who wielded the keyblade. It seemed that this war had caused a great deal of distrust towards those in the Realm of Light. "Why is it that only those in this realm remember such a war? I've never seen any mention of it in our texts."

"Why would there be? Not only did your side start it but it was our side who nearly won. The only reason our side did not crush the Realm of Light was because we knew of the damage it would do to our realm as well. We forced peace onto you and your people were quick to forget their humiliating defeat." Joch explained.

"I...I can see why only your people would remember then. A War of the Realms...I never thought such a thing ever occurred." Atmos placed his hand to her forehead, feeling a headache coming on. Her surroundings started to spin ever so slightly making it difficult to keep her balance. "I feel...off..."

"I believe you've overstayed your welcome in this realm. Why didn't you use your armor to protect you from the effects of the darkness?"

"The activator was damaged...I haven't had time to fix it myself."

"Then it is time we return you to your realm. Just keep in mind our deal, Master Atmos. Return my nephew to me." The King looked over towards his knights and motioned for one to come over. "This is Boreas Thessalian, a talented keyblade wielder and knight in my service. He will guide you back home. Just point him in the right direction and you will return to where you need to be."

"Of course. Thank you, King Joch. But before I go, I must ask...does this nephew of yours have a name?"

    "His name is Torrin."

Take was annoyed by the lack of actual help he was going with the magic. He didn't think that a spell that did so well earlier would do so little, but then he remembered this was a swarm. Logically it wouldn't get hurt as much by something that hits only one thing. The boy figured maybe it would be best for them to pull in closer to get a good hit at the swarm with keyblades rather than magic, maybe they'd cleave off things faster that way. But as he was about to pull there, he noticed the magic orbs falling and recalled a lesson from Master Atmos. He then looked back towards Aria and Chrono who had seemed to be doing alright with the magic, perhaps it would be safer to keep a distance approach. Take started speeding on up to follow the magic orbs and he yelled back at the other two, "I hope I'm not going too fast for you to get another hit in."

Aria yelled out when the swarm suddenly rained down on them like an angry flock of crows. The bracelet's light was practically blinding her as she felt the heartless push her back on the boat towards where Take was steering. And this time, she actually felt some pain. Unlike last time, she barely felt a thing when the heartless took a hit on her.

Once the chaos was over, Aria lowered her arms, shaking slightly as she looked around.
Maybe I was a bit too eager jumping into this... The girl shook her head and gripped her keyblade tightly as they were going towards little blue bubbles. "Not too fast at all," Aria replied as she took a couple steps back from Take. She was going to try what Chrono did a little while ago, even though it was a long-shot.

She aimed her keyblade at the dark swarm, trying to gather enough energy to mimic what she saw. She saw the little lightning bolts gathering at the tip of her rainbow colored keyblade and smirked to herself. "
Thunder!" she shouted, sending it towards the Demon Tower. "Ha, take that!"

A clearly agitated horde swarmed at them once again and struck the boat. The variety of heartless clawed at him as well as the boat. "It's fine." Chrono gave Take a quick thumbs up to affirm his words, then turn his attention back towards the heartless swarm. At present he didn't like getting closer to them, but he could feel the magic flowing back through him as Take sailed them through the orbs that had fallen, making it a fair trade off. His keyblade charged with sparked once more as the bolts were sent flying towards the Demon Tower. "Thunder!"

The swarm lashed out, striking in mass like a colony of disturbed ants. Despite having braced against the momentum of the vessel, Glyde was caught out of form by the attack. Shaken, he lost his grip upon the lifeboat, just managing to catch himself before being tossed overboard. He pulled back up quickly, if still with a stumbling posture. When he resumed his hold onto the boat, his grip was more firm, expectant of another wave from the horde of Heartless. "If we get too close right now, we won't last long," he shouted, mostly looking to Jim, who seemed to nod in agreement. "Let's hang back for now and wear them down a bit before moving in."

The lifeboat drifted, holding away from the swarm. Looking ahead, Glyde caught on to the movement of the other lifeboat as it followed a spread of orbs released from the swarm in the previous attack. "Magic," he said under his breath. "Let's try to give them some cover," he called to Illiana. He directed his Key towards the enemy, attempting to set his aim closer to where an attack on Take's lifeboat might come from. "Fire!"

A second burst of fire shot out towards the shadowy mass.

(This is becoming a thing as of late)(sorry •-•)

Illiana shrugged her shoulders as Glyde gave out his suggestions to Jim. Looking over to the swarm, Illiana sighed before grabbing her blade. Fire had began to collect at the top of the keyblade as she pointed it at the swarm. “Fire!” A fireball shot out from her keyblade and made its way to the swarm.

Sparks and flame surrounded the Demon Tower as the magical energy caused it to continue to drop magic orbs. The Demon Tower began to rotate rapidly, throwing off flaming Shadows from the main body. Take's boat took the brunt of the attack while Jim's boat, which was at a distance, took less damage. The Heartless swarm buzzed about and flew at the party once more before turning and starting to head away. Now feeling the damage, the Heartless swarm tried to get distance from the party.

    Illiana took 11 Damage. (9/25HP)
    Chrono took 9 Damage. (15/35HP)
    Take took 4 Damage. (31/45HP)
    Aria took 0 Damage. (29/35HP)
    Glyde took 5 Damage. (20/35HP)

Jim's Life Boat took 6 Damage!
Take's Life Boat took 12 Damage!

    Jim's Life Boat: 71/100HP
    Take's Life Boat: 67/100HP

    Demon Tower: 118/180HP

The same three choices are present for the pilots.

Choma looked over at the Nobody calling herself "Kaela" who was now tied up by magical chains of light conjured by him then over at the young Master, Torrin. Kaela seemed to be refusing to speak with him so long as she was bound so his only source of information was the boy. "I was told by the Council about what happened to my students." He spoke, regret clear in his voice.

"You made the right call leaving. The only problem is that you have nothing to show for it. You couldn't have known that."

"I was told some interesting things about you, Torrin."

"It's not important right now. I saved Aria from the Light Chaser so you at least owe me your discretion."

Choma nodded. "Thank you for being there when I could not. What of Master Atmos? What became of her?"

"I don't know. I had to leave her, along with the Atlantean princess, behind. She might have been captured, killed, or made an escape. I just don't know. I'm sorry."

Choma folded his arms and sighed. Tinarah was missing. Atmos was missing. Mikaela had now become...this, and at least one princess had been captured. He needed to return to the others but bringing "Kaela" would serve to be a problem. She had proven to be unstable and likely would be more of a danger than any help. Not to mention the amount of distress it would cause his students should he return with her in that state. With no idea how to return her to her normal self someone had to go find a way to undo what had been done to her.

"Torrin, might I ask a favor of you? I feel I have no right to be asking this of you but-"

"Find a way to get Mika back? Yeah. I can do that. Leave her to me. You've been separated from your students long enough anyway. And...I think I know just the place to start looking."

After the last round, Take felt a bit more confident that they could manage to finish this up. The boy looked back at Chrono and Aria, and while Aria seemed to be up for whatever method at that point, Take and Chrono locked eyes and he could tell the silver haired boy had a solid game plan in mind. Take nodded at him, not sure if he'd nod back before flying on closer to the demon wave. Keeping some sort of balance and making sure not to ride too close into the demon tower, Take got a good balance before firing blizzard with his keyblade. He ended up knocking some of the swarm onto the boat towards him and the boy held on as tightly as he could trying to maintain the steering. Take activated blitz and he got himself a few good attacks in until he felt sufficiently in control. After a few seconds of breathing, Takehiko moved himself closer to the edge of the boat and got a good large swings in at quite a bit of the swarm before he finally chose to back up and officially keep steering while the others finished the rest.

The girl noticed the exchange of looks from the two boys, and knew stuff was about to go down. "Here we go," she whispered to herself as she got her keyblade ready. She was going to give it her all and hopefully get rid of this swarm once and for all. She swung her keyblade about as the swarm was moved onto the boat, feeling satisfaction and she was finally landing direct hits on the target. Using solely magic was getting tedious and a little annoying. Hopefully this would finish the swarm once and for all.

Illiana dropped onto one knee as she felt herself getting weak. She then looked over to see the swarm growing weak as well. Watching the other boat rush in and bash on the swarm, Illiana got back up and went over to Jim pointing at the swarm. "Charge toward the swarm before you need new arms!!!" The boat charged ahead and caught up to the swarm. Illiana ran up and jumped toward the swarm slashing through the swarm. She landed on the boat as it shook a bit. She continued to grow irritated and more irritated with each passing minute. She ran back up to the swarm and just began to bash at the swarm. "I'm getting sick and tired of this. Making me use another floating death contraption just to catch your worthless tails! Allow me to show you the mercy of death!!!!" She continued her rampage before landing back down. Illiana looked back at the swarm hoping that would be enough to be rid of it.

This wasn't working not the way Chrono had hoped it was. A drawn out battle like this was turning into wouldn't lead to any victory for them. Chrono got back onto his feet after receiving yet another attack from the Demon Tower and he noticed how they moved. It was swarming, but there seemed to be a central point that they grouped around. Maybe by attacking there, they could cause this whole this to disperse. This idea was risky and to be honest Chrono didn't want to take said risk, but it could but an end to this battle. Take must've noticed that he had this idea and they both nodded in understanding towards one another. "Advance!!!" Keyblade armed and aimed towards the demon tower, Chrono braced himself for the inevitable impact.

Bolts of lightning shot out of his keyblade and struck the horde first. Agitating them and the retaliation was quick. Some attacks were blocked by Chrono and he waited til he was close enough to deliver a power strike with all of his might poured into it.

Glyde swallowed down an empty throat when he heard Illiana order Jim to charge into the swarm. He tightened his grip to the lifeboat, holding for dear life as Jim veered in and raced towards the horde. Glyde rolled his eyes at his ally's scornful tirade. If she gets us killed... The boat slowed slightly as it reached its target. Making the best of the situation, Glyde sprung up, releasing his hold to grasp his Keyblade with both hands. Being largely depleted of magic, he had little choice but to slash and thrust his blade into the Heartless as the lifeboat passed through their dispersing ranks. Though a difficult undertaking, Glyde managed to stave off the attacks, and deliver his own flurry of cuts and jabs with less hassle than he had expected. The end of the charge left him physically drained; he collapsed to the floor of the lifeboat, propped up by his arms, trying to catch his breath again.

With the combined force of their attacks the Demon Tower began to break apart and dissolve, until nothing remained. The skies were clear once more.

    Chrono gained 6 levels!
    Takehiko gained 5 levels!
    Aria gained 5 levels!
    Glyde gained 4 levels!
    Illiana gained 4 levels!

With the battle over Jim grinned and looked at the others and shouted a hearty "We did it!" to everyone, pumping his fist in to the air. With the Heartless defeated he started to turn the life boat around and head back to the RLS Legacy.

    Episode Takehiko Part 1:
    Chapter 2: Only What's Needed

Not long after the Elders had left, a taller girl, roughly about 14-years-old, ran into the room and paused to catch her breath before asking, "Master Atmos, right? I've been told to bring you to Takehiko's home. Would you like to come with me?" the girl's voice was rather monotone, and there wasn't anything particularly special about this girl. She just seemed to be there for the purpose of being a guide.

Atmos had felt unable to interrupt in the Elder's conversation previously but because she hadn't agreed to any of their terms and had not been asked for her consent on them, she did not feel obligated to oblige them. "Yes, I am ready to come along." She spoke to the guide once the Elders were finished talking. They seemed like an unstable bunch but it was Takehiko who concerned her more, not them.

The girl brought Atmos without much said towards Takehiko's home. As they walked, they passed by the homes. All were homes build almost exactly the same, with a couple of different modifications on them. They were all built out of stone, presumably because anything built with wood would be caught on fire. The houses closer to the Elder chambers seemed to take on an almost in-hill form, looking as though they belonged as part of the mountain. The further from the mountain they walked, the less and less earth covered the homes. And once out towards the center of the homes of those who were, for lack of a better word, poorer, the mountain could be seen better jutting above. It seemed to pass through the clouds above, the top not being able to be seen.

They reached the edge of town, and while it was a distance away from the edge of the mountain, the landscape reaching could definitely be seen. They were definitely above clouds as well, presumably clouds that would normally travel lower. Other mountains seemed to be scattered across the landscape, the mountains ice capped, but lush with forests and greenery. On the ground, however, it was a barren landscape with no greenery, certainly not livable conditions.

On top of it, the fall was quite a big one.

The girl reached Takehiko's home, it was the same size as other houses in the area, but on the front there seemed to be a marker indicating four people, there were also visibly marks indicating three other people having lived there in the past, but they were moved. One more recently it seemed. "This is Takehiko's home. You should be all set to enter. I'm going to be not far from here, if you need anything please let me know." and the girl bowed before leaving.

When Atmos entered the home, she would notice it was actually quite... normal. There was a large couch and a couple chairs in a sitting area with a dining area which seemed to be able to seat up to about ten people. There was a bookcase, not too many books within. Though all were bound with a fire-proof leather that must have taken time and care to protect them. The house was sparsely decorated, but on a mantle there were three pictures that sat comfortably.

One was a picture of a young woman with brunette hair and bright green eyes. She was dressed in a light blue dress with a bouquet in her hands. She was pretty short, at least compared to the man, and she had a very small smile and looked almost... uncomfortable being in a frame of focus. The man in the picture with her was almost a foot taller than her, but he looked the same age as her regardless. He had a delicately trimmed beard and his hair was grown out a bit to be jelled back. He wasn't exactly smiling, but he looked happy to be in the picture with her regardless.

The second picture was a group picture of five boys together. The oldest sat in the middle with brunette hair and blue eyes, his hair was the only one that was not as shaven as the rest, he looked roughly 20 years old in the picture. He had a small smile, very similar to that of the woman's in the other photo. The boy on his lap had to have been three years old with his head shaved but must have been a brunette color as well. His eyes were a bright green and he seemed unagreeable in the photo, as though he didn't want to take the picture. Directly to the older boy's right was an 17 year old boy with blackened hair and blue eyes. In fact, he looked nearly identical to another boy in the photograph, but much older and his eye color clearly took after the father. The 17 year old was not smiling, and also looked like he didn't want to be in the photo either. But he leaned in closer to the older boy in the middle.

On the older boy's left, there was a boy who looked completely different than the other four, like he almost wasn't even related. His eyes were brown and his hair was red with a bit of stubble growing in. This boy was taller than the 17 year old, but looked only a year or so younger than him. He had a big smile going on him and was holding the shoulders of a smaller boy right in front of him. And that one was the look a like to the 17 year old. But he was only about 9 years old, and his hair was grown out and black. The boy's eyes shined a bright green and he had a big grin on his face. Like he was the happiest out of the five no questions asked.

The third picture was clearly a more recent picture, the frame seemed to be tossed up a little as though the picture changed a lot, in the picture it was a full family photo. Well, seemingly, the problem was that only three of the boys were present. In the picture the young woman, quite a bit older in this photo, sat on the right side, while the young man, much older looking here with hair growing in silver, sat on the left side.

In the middle was the shortest one, which was the toddler, now aged up to roughly seven years old. He had a big smile similar to that of the smiling boy in the other. But the other two boys, on the left side and right side of the seven year old, sat with their postures proper and with not smiles on their faces. While the older boy seemed comfortable with not smiling, it was clear that the other one wasn't smiling simply because he wasn't allowed to.

The oldest boy and the red haired boy were not around in this picture at all.

As Atmos would have gotten herself comfortable, there was silence before a voice softly chimed in behind her, "Are you the inspector they told us about?" as she turned to look, hiding behind the couch was the seven year old in the photo, not looking at all much older than he did now. But his head was shaved this time. The boy raised an eyebrow and said, "You don't look like an inspector... you don't look at all like... are you an outworlder?" The boy suddenly looked excited but kept his voice down.

Atmos thanked the girl who led her to the house and as she looked around the place it felt fairly cozy if a little...spartan in design. A necessity she assumed. She walked around the room, taking up the family pictures and examining them closely as she pieced together what kind of family this was. At first, she smiled. It appeared to be a happy family, but that smile soon faded when she came across the final picture with two of the boys missing.

The sound of a child's voice interrupted her. Atmos smiled slightly and looked at the seven-year old. "Yes, I am. My name is Atmos. I'm here looking for one of your brothers. Takehiko." She knelt down to get a better look at the small boy. He looked quite different from the picture she had last seen him in with his hair in its current style. They must have taken the military approach at a very young age. Far younger than she anticipated.

The boy looked concerned and said, "Uh, Take hasn't been here for a while now... is he coming home?" the boy looked a bit excited at that news and almost spoke too loud and he covered his mouth and said, "I'm not supposed to be here, I'm supposed to leave, my brother Shoji is probably waiting for me right now... uh..." the boy held his hand out and smiled, "Nice to meet you though Atmos, my name's Akio."

Atmos nodded in response. "Take," she started using the same nickname the boy had given her, "is coming with me on a journey to grow." She took the boy's hand and shook it. "It's a pleasure, Akio. If you wish, you can wait here for your brother a little longer and if anyone asks, you can tell them you were on official keyblader business." She grinned hoping to keep the child around a little longer so at least the two brother could be reunited for some time before Takehiko had to depart with her.

Akio looked confused before his eyes opened up in realization, "What? What does Take have to do with keybla... aaaaah." Akio covered his mouth, "The rumors were true. I thought everyone was just being crazy. I mean, Take getting a keyblade? That seems..." Akio got still and very calm suddenly before saying, "Actually... that's not that weird at all." Akio quickly hopped over the couch and sat on it and slammed the seat next to him welcoming her to join him, "So did you give him a keyblade then? That's so cool... My dad told me that when he was younger there were a lot more keyblade wielders around but they started... well..." Akio scratched his head, "They... abandoned this world and didn't want to come back...."

Atmos plopped over beside the boy and leaned back finding the couch to be almost comfortable. Though even now nothing held a candle to the comforts of her homeworld. It was probably a good thing that she was chosen by the keyblade otherwise she would have been just as soft as everyone else there. "No, I didn't give him one. I actually haven't met the man who did. I've only heard stories of him but...well you could say he's the one who sent me looking for your brother." She scratched under her chin as her mind wandered for a moment before returning to reality.

Akio said something that piqued her curiosity since it wasn't something she had heard before. She knew of certain worlds that naturally were more suited to bringing keyblade wielders into the universe but she had not known this to be one of them. "Do you know what kind of training your brother is being put through right now?"

Akio thought about the question and said, "I heard he was at Jeral's Point. That's usually the place they send higher level officers who've been doing this for years..." Akio shifted awkwardly before twiddling his thumbs and saying, "Someone told me it's like they suck your soul away... but... I don't know. If it helps the dragons not sense us... but..." Akio looked up at the picture on the mantle of him and his brothers and admitted, "I don't remember the last time I've seen Take smile like that.... it used to make me happy... now he's just like Sho-"
"AKIO." A voice suddenly boomed from outside and Akio jumped and stared at the door, "You're late! Get out here this instant!"

Akio looked between the door and Atmos a couple times before getting up,
"I have to go, he's gonna get mad...." he stood up but he wasn't leaving quite yet.

Atmos eyes flashed with an intense fire behind them. From what brief description the boy offered her this Jeral's Point was an awful place regardless of the motivations behind it. "Take is the one with that silly grin? Well then-" The boy got up from being called out by an angry voice. Atmos stood up as well, her eyes narrowing towards the source outside. She motioned with her hand for the boy to stay put.

"You may not see Take for some time. I believe it's important you see him off before he goes. Wait here." Atmos made her way towards the door, her mind jumping from tidbit to tidbit of information. What she knew wasn't much but this place was no place for children and it pained her that she couldn't change any of that. But at least she could reunite two brothers.

Akio looked nervous when she told him to stay put but he also wanted to see Take, and nodded at her as he stayed in the spot. Akio played with his hands a bit while she did.

When Atmos had opened the door. The older boy in the most recent picture was standing there. His arms seemed to be crossed relatively impatiently before he saw Atmos and his arms uncrossed as he walked forward, "Excuse me, ma'am, what do you think you are doing inside my house? Where is Akio?" despite being a raised voice, there was no real indicator of any emotion lying underneath it. Like it had been whipped out of him long ago. The boy stopped when he was close enough to her, but not too close for it to be an uncomfortable closeness for a stranger, "And more importantly, who are you?"

Atmos stepped closer towards the boy to the point where it would have been uncomfortable for just about anyone. "Master Atmos, keyblade wielder. Akio is waiting to bid his brother goodbye under my order. Takehiko's departure should be on the best terms if his training is to be productive." Was it a lie? Maybe. Maybe not but it didn't matter to her by this point. She looked at the boy with hard eyes and kept her tone authoritative.
This boy claimed that this was his house. That meant this was another brother. "You must be another of his siblings. Perhaps you would like to wait here as well to see him off."

When the Demon Tower began to dissolve, there was this sigh of relief as the boy felt safe just being able to fly the boat without worrying about being attacked. Take turned the ship around to follow Jim back and looked over at Chrono and Aria and said, "I think we did pretty well. Maybe we're better fighting on ships?" he paused for a moment before he added, "Actually, no. Can we agree to not do this again if possible?" he looked around and said with a more deadpan voice than usual, "That was terrifying."

    Episode Tinarah: Part 8
    The Next Level

The Realm of Darkness, sounded ominous. Tinarah took the coat and slowly put it on. She didn't bother questioning it, or anything that was going on. She didn't want to walk into a dangerous situation, but at least she felt more confident about it than she had when she arrived. If there was anything that she gained from over two years of training, it was the ability to defend herself enough that she didn't feel the need to always hide. Walking around outside of the familiar alone still bothered her. She was still sometimes paranoid when she went to fetch water from the well alone, however she had learned to deal with that fear, with the help of a practice sword on hand. She convinced Stamatis to let her take, at first one of the wooden ones with her so if anything did come she could at least wack them with it. It gave her some comfort.

Putting on the coat she took her sword. It still felt wrong, she still wished her keyblade was with her instead. She never truly understood what caused her to not be able to summon it anymore, but each day she couldn't summon it the harder she was on herself. Stamatis tried to take the blame on himself, but if his teaching was the problem she wouldn't have lost her ability to use it before she was brought here.

Taking her training to the next level was something Tinarah didn't view as necessary, not when she was failing as it was, however she never really did have the heart to say no. Before she was sent back in time or after, it was something that stayed the same, she would rather agree then cause conflict, it was easier for everyone that way.

The world they arrived to was dark, night had already fallen, and the air was heavy. Dead grass crunched underneath Stamatis's boots as he stepped forth and examined the valley that they stood in. They could not arrive via corridors of light so the only other way was through the Lanes Between which meant using a keyblade glider. The ride was a smooth one at least.

"Tinarah, there is a lesson here that no teacher can ever give to a student. A lesson that must always be learned on one's own." In the distance dozens of pairs of yellow eyes peered at them from the shadows. They were out in the open with nowhere to hide and Stamatis made no attempt to take Tinarah out of their line of sight. "Ready your sword." He instructed the girl despite not drawing his own keyblade. In fact, he stepped back further from Tinarah just as the eyes came closer. Shadows. "This is your next lesson."

Stepping into the world it made Tinarah a little uncomfortable, the dark being so close was not pleasant, it made her gut turn in fear of what awaited them ahead. They had already been forced to take a keyblade glider here, which made Tinarah a little nervous, though that was nothing she couldn't handle, she had just began to prefer using the corridors of light instead.

As they stood there Tinarah started seeing eyes appear as Stamatis spoke to her. His words did not sit well with her as he spoke of a lesson that she had to learn herself. They were out in the open as the eyes began to move closer. Tinarah took a step back while Stamatis told her to ready her sword, moving away from her. "I can't do this." She begged Stamatis quietly. She didn't have her keyblade anymore, she couldn't fight heartless.
"Please." Tinarah tried to ask of him. However as the heartless moved closer and attacked her, Tinarah's instincts that she had learned from training began to kick in. When she had first come to Stamatis she was likely to have cowered and tried to run away, but she knew running was futile, so instead she lifted her short sword, slashing the heartless in front of her before bringing the sword back around in front in a defensive maneuver. Even if as she swiped for the next one out of self defense, it felt like it didn't really do much, Tinarah began to see a bit of how she had grown. For her it was small to see, though perhaps for Stamatis he saw more growth.

Stamatis stepped back farther away, refusing to answer Tinarah's pleas for help. It was tough love of a sort and not the kind of teaching Stamatis was particularly fond of. In fact, he knew that it was Fost who was accustomed to teaching in this manner but this was the only tool he had left to force Tinarah to realize her potential. As he watched her fight it was clear that she had learned her lessons well.

But the Heartless wouldn't be stopped by an ordinary sword. The continued to close in on Tinarah, leaping and scratching at her making the whole sight of the battle highly uncomfortable for Stamatis to watch but this had to be done. If she couldn't take it then he would step in but doing so right now would have only proved to Tinarah that she could not handle this and that would crush her completely.

Feeling alone in the situation, Tinarah was forced to bite back tears as the heartless kept coming at her. She was not fit to deal with this on her own, not like this, but she was being left to do it anyways. Tinarah wouldn't let herself just be overcome though. She might have been desperate and ready to give up on ever going home, but she was not ready to just die. Even alone she had to fight on the best she could, try to survive at least.

The more time she spent fighting the more grim the situation seemed. She glance for a moment over at Stamatis, her eyes pleading for help as blood streamed down her arms, and even a scratch on her face. The sword was not doing anything to help her cause as the heartless kept coming to the point Tinarah couldn't keep up. Eventually she collapsed to the ground, her tears finally flowing freely as darkness seemed to surround her.
"No.... I am not ready yet. Please. I am sorry Chrono, I really tried to get stronger. I have this. Why can't I be more like you? Why can't I be strong?! I know you hate me, but please just lend me your strength and I will prove to you that I won't drag you down anymore."

As Tinarah was speaking a light lit up the darkness and there was a warmth in her hand, replacing the sword that she carried before was now a keyblade, it wasn't her keyblade though. In her hand was Chrono's Keyblade. More tears fell but this time not of pain, fear and loneliness, but instead of gratitude. "I won't let you down." She whispered as she stood up slowly, still struggling a little because of her injuries. She tried to straighten herself out as she prepared to fight again, this time with keyblade in hand, a weapon that would be effective, more so than her sword was at least.

Some time passed. When the fighting was done, Stamatis headed back over towards Tinarah and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Good. You have done well, Tinarah. I'm proud of you." Stamatis smiled and nodded his head towards Tinarah. He was genuinely glad for the girl and was clearly beaming at her as he looked down upon his student. "Your training can finally reach the next level." He spoke with great enthusiasm.

Tinarah didn't know if she should be grateful or mad at Stamatis. When he placed a hand on her shoulder he spoke with enthusiasm but Tinarah looked at him still feeling a little betrayed. "You left me, you watched me as they knocked me down and nearly killed me. How much further would you have let it go before stopping it? What if Chrono hadn't lent me his power.... This... this isn't even mine." Tinarah held up the keyblade. "This wasn't the one I originally had, this is my brothers. I don't know how be he lent me this power, he helped me because you wouldn't." It was the most Tinarah had said in a long time, certainly the most she had expressed her emotions. He was proud of her but she couldn't feel as proud. She wished at least it was her own keyblade, but staring at her brothers after he too betrayed her, it hurt, it was a hurt that she could, would have to face. She asked Chrono for help so she could be stronger, and this was part of learning to be stronger. Facing the pain that she had been avoiding for so long.

"I would have never let it get that far. If you hadn't summoned the keyblade I would have stepped in. My method of teaching you had failed and so I chose to emulate Master Fost. I suppose his methods have merit as, after all, I cannot be at your side at all times. You must have the strength to defend yourself when the time comes to face challenges alone." When she mentioned her brother's name he raised an eyebrow curiously and looked closer at the keyblade. "This was not your original keyblade?" He scratched his chin thoughtfully and called his own keyblade to prepare to get them out of there. "You would not have been able to borrow that power if there was not the potential already within you. Do not sell yourself short, Tinarah. The keyblade chose you for a reason and part of your training is realizing why."

Tinarah looked away for a moment as he spoke of defending herself. "I have never been able to, I don't know why, I try. Just leaving me like that.... I felt like a scared child again. I-I am sorry." Tears started down Tinarah's face as she tried to voice what was going on in her own head this entire time. "Before Chrono threw me off the bridge and said I was too weak and would hold him back, he had to protect me too much. This... is just another way of him protecting me. I hate it. I will never be able to do things on my own at this pace." She went on. It was like this step forwards opened a floodgate of everything she had been thinking for the last while and it was suddenly all out in the open. At the very least she was attempting to talk about what happened before she got there and everything that had been festering for the last two and a half years as she slowly had been withdrawing into herself more than she ever had before, after her mothers death.

"I believe in you, Tinarah." He squeezed her shoulder. "You must believe in yourself as well. Remind yourself that you have power because I know you truly are capable of achieving great things." Stamatis knelt beside her and looked the girl in the eye. "This frustration you feel is normal. I once felt it as well. I was not what you would call a good student in my younger years, nor was I a particularly talented one. Everything I learned took me much longer than it did other students but, in time, I was able to look back and see that my failures taught me more than if I had just learned sooner. Determination is more important than ability, Tinarah. If you learn nothing else from me, remember that as it will carry you further than any other lesson I may teach you."

"I just want to be strong and brave like Chrono was. I want to be worth while. It is hard when you don't see improvement the way you want to see it. I am sorry. You are a fine teacher and I have learned a lot from you...." Tinarah tried to reassure him. "Would you um.... Do you want to play music when we get back? It has been a while."

"You are strong and you are brave to have made it so far. You may not see progress, but I do." He stood back up. "And yes. Of course. I would be happy to play with you again."

With the Demon Tower gone and defeated, Aria unsummoned her keyblade and sat down heavily at the bottom of the life boat. “Agreeeeeeed,” she sighed out. She raised her wrist and looked down at the golden charm sitting there on her wrist. “I actually felt the hits that time around...” She then looked up at the boys from where she was at and gave them a tired thumbsup. “Good job coming up with that... I think we would have had a bad time otherwise.”

Aria laid on the lifeboat floor, and with exhaustion waved, to the other boat without getting up. “Good job you guuuuuys!” She called to Illiana, Glyde, and Jim, her voice cracking. “Woo.... I am very tired now...” She let her arm plop over her eyes as she thought how close they were to being defeated. To think she almost dragged everyone to their doom... that wasn’t a pleasant thought to think on.

Today didn't exactly go as expected, he figured it would have been a patrol, perhaps a battle or a skirmish and by the end of it he'd be back. He never anticipated they would run into this off-worlder. The arrest had been swift and they had escorted her back to the castle. Boreas simply listened as the King gave the woman who apparantly was a keyblade master a history lesson. It was a story he too had been told years ago. He knew it well, the war the light had started but before the killing blow was dealt they stayed their hands for the greater good. The King had made a deal with this keyblade master from the realm of light. It was only fair after they required their help that they asked something in return. However the deal made caught his attention, even while standing on guard. She was to retrieve his nephew and return him. Boreas already knew who this person was before the king had even uttered his name.

Boreas stepped forward as the King named him. He was clad in black armour and a black cloak like everyone in the room save for the Keyblade Master. His armour was slightly different from those around him overlapping bands of black metal ringed around his body with rounded plates on the joints. His helmet being his distinguishing feature with it's wings that were aligned backwards. The armour had obvious signs of use with dents, scratches The knight kneeled before the king and when the king gave him permission to speak he looked up. The king had said he was to send her home and the implication was there that he was to return. "
My King, I am to escort the Keyblademaster back to her own realm. I request permission to aide her in the task you have given. her in the retrieval of your nephew. I realise that what I am asking is a lot at a very inopportune time. But perhaps we have more chance of succes to return your nephew to the fold if one of our own spoke to him. I would ask at most 2 months to accomplish this task, and return even if I failed to locate him." Boreas said with respect for the king.

He didn't hope too much, there was a war on and well he was needed her as well. He didn't think the keyblade master was unable to accomplish the task set for her. She was a keyblade master, after all but whether she would be able to return torrin to them. He knew why he had left, a few years ago. He wasn't even sure if the man was out there alive and well but he had confidence in his abilities. He remembered that during training Torrin generally bested him, and he knew that the man wouldn't go out without a fight atleast. He remained kneeling in front of his king, the king he had served loyally after completion of his training. He had made no requests before always did exactly as asked of him. He hoped that his loyalty and work were going to pay themselves off now.
