Jumper

After a thorough search of the kitchen, Constance opened a box of crackers (with some difficulty). "He's in need of some serious shopping," she said between crackers.

 

Constance turned around, startled. She held up the box of crackers. "I speak the truth," she said with her mouth full.

 

Constance immediately stuffed more crackers in her mouth and attempted to stick out her tongue at him.

 

She tried to swallow the mouthful of crackers, but started coughing and turned away. "What's your problem? You don't kiss someone with their mouth full!"

 

She searched the box for "Best before" date, and sure enough, they were old. She walked over and threw the box in the trash can. "That's just perfect."

 

"I might as well start getting used to it," she said in a bored tone. "And I don't appreciate it!"

 

She was about to protest but decided to give up. "How'd the 'Saving the Day' business go?" she asked, changing the subject.

 

"Not. A. Puppy!" she said and smacked him upside the head. "You don't know what it's like to be part creature. These ears are so awkward," she said, scratching her gray wolf ears.

 

Lance was on top of the apartment building seeing if he can see any jumpers on other roof tops.

 

She rolled her eyes. "What are you looking for anyways?"

 

"Cut it out! No more nicknames!" She could her pulse quicken as her anger rose.
