Is it customary in America to scream your face off during your national anthem?

You confuse me, Americans. You could at least scream the lyrics.

Also, kudos to the singer guy for attempting to sing over that.

It is rude, but unfortunately American culture (especially when it comes to those who would be at said playoff game) don't care about being rude. And they kinda justify it as being patriotic because they are cheering for it. Honestly I don't get sports in general and don't really have good insight there.

Yeah, it is really offensive to families of those who served in the military, and of course veterans.

Another reason why America is so screwed up. I'm still surprised weed isn't legalized yet, but I guess it doesn't matter considering tons of people still have it anyway. Maybe I should move to Canada or England. Or maybe Japan.

It annoys me, but I guess I'm used to it at the same time?

There are much worse things to complain about in our country though :|

So much hate on America in this thread. I know it's hard to admit it, but the US is the best country on Earth.

yeah man, tell me about it. it was just take your daughter to work day!! even more women in the workplace

But really, it is disrespectful. I don't personally say the pledge every morning because I don't agree with it (woah, so badass), but out of respect I always stand/am quiet & so on. Then again, America isn't really about being quiet about your patriotism.

Well, compared to other countries, the US is pretty much the best one? I mean sure, it haves its flaws, but still.

Every country is the best country. My country is no different.

    Hnnnnnnnnngggggg

We had concentration camps for Japanese immigrants during the Second Great War. We consistently get into wars that are none of our business just because there is something to gain from it. And on top of that we have $10,200,000,000,000 of accumulated debt that our politicians are just trying to push to the side. Not to mention the government's consistent attempts to censor public media, a goal, I might add, which is the subject of a propaganda film (based on 1984) made by the CIA to prevent censorship. Our military blindly follows the commands of whoever is in charge and we produced an author by the name of Stephanie Meyer.

I've got my own stories about the Philippines, Australia, Spain, and Fiji.

But I don't care to diss whole countries.

I agree here. I don't play it, I don't watch it, and I even go out of my way to ensure that I don't have to play or watch it, but damn if it isn't the third coolest sport in the world, right behind curling and snowboarding.
