Someone who doesn't know anything about Aquaman.

Curious to see how they bring Sinestro into this story. Unless it's simply a vendetta thing against Hal Jordan, he wouldn't bother himself with Earth affairs. Hawkgirl, I had assumed after the story trailer. Seeing Aquaman's footage makes me think we'll see Ocean Master in at least an NPC role, but I could see them bringing in Black Manta as well. Not sure why Shazam is siding with Superman's faction here, doesn't really fit him, but we'll see. I was a bit wary of Flash's allegiance, but considering Identity Crisis (Flash voted to mess with the mind of a villain to make less dangerous shortly after another villain murdered his wife), I guess I could see how he came around to see Superman's side. So...Martian Manhunter, DC. Come on.

Last 3 characters are Black Adam, Killer Frost and Ares (although Black Adam is the only one who has been officially confirmed).

It looks like a pretty good game, i've played the demo it had, and its not that bad of a game, the fighting's fluid, it has that nice mortal kombat style [hold the blood] and is something that i'd be able to get into.

I've heard good things about the reviews of the game. The art looks spectacular in it as I haven't played it myself. I thought it was funny, I was walking into a Gamestop before this came out and two clerks were arguing over who would win: Superman or Batman.

 

it's a pretty good game. though, i would wait until a price drop to buy it if i were you. the main story lasts only about 4-5 hours. also, like with most fighting games, the online mode is very rage inducing, lol

 

Just got done playing as Batgirl. She's doesn't play like Batman. Much more speed where he's more on power. She's also very versatile. Next to Nightwing, she may be my main.

 

So far my favorite characters to play as are Catwoman, Batman, Solomon Grundy, and Hawkgirl.

 

at first i was a little annoyed that they were adding Batgirl because we have so many Batman characters already. but after playing as her, she's pretty good, i like playing as her because no one else really plays the same. alot better than Lobo. though, i'm having trouble beating other Batgirls at the moment. those annoying smoke bomb attacks -_-

EDIT: also, i'm hearing about a bug where Batgirl can use the meter burn Babs-bola without needing 1/3 of the meter full.

 

Man, as much as I like Mortal Kombat and Scorpion and all, I really was hoping that they would stick to DC characters for DLC :\

I'd much rather have Zatanna, Mr. Freeze, Beast Boy, or Static.

 

he looks fun to play with, but i do have to agree with people who say they should've stuck with DC characters. also, that Martain Manhunter tease at the end of Scorpion's trailer.......

So, question for this thread: What's good about this game? I've heard it's VERY similar in play style to Mortal Kombat, which unfortunately I've just never been a fan of. Does it really play like Mortal Kombat, or are people just saying because hurr durr same developers? The videos seem to indicate it's faster, almost like a less-crazy MvC
