Destroyed

Luke grabbed Kirsten's arm, not wanting her to go downstairs. "Kirsten, this isn't any normal kind of monster. He's the first one ever created by the other scientists. The monster of all of them. I think it would be best if we flee for now-"

"Oh?" Alexis walked around the corner into the hallway in his human form, he saw Luke and Kirsten standing in the doorway of a bedroom. "So you remember what I am." he grinned.

 

Kirsten was confused, the man didn't look like a monster, he still looked human, then again, the tone of his voice, and what he said made it more believable. She stared at the man for a while.​

 

Luke started to back away slowly, he had a feeling things would get messy if they didn't bolt for it. "Kirsten, don't you think it would be a good idea to run for now?" he muttered to her.

Alexis laughed shrilly. It sounded innocent but at the same time, it was a bonechilling laugh of a killer. He took a small step forward. "Awww don't go yet~" He put on a mocking pout. "I wanna play with you a bit."

 

Kirsten stayed where she was, but she started to fiddle around in her belt until she pulled her gun out. Aiming at the man, she made sure she didn't break her concentration.​

 

Alexis grinned at Kirsten and then disappeared, a moment later he flickered behind her. "It's best you don't try that with me~" he whispered icily into her ear.

 

Kirsten shocked, not expecting anyone to be that fast, she turned around and pulled the trigger on Alexis.​

 

The bullet went right through the centre of Alexis's head. He laughed manically. "You humans are all the same! Always thinking you can solve your problems with a gun!" he taunted. He jumped back a few feet and wiped the blood off on his forhead.

 

Kirsten was half scared and half duiscusted. The bullet went straight through his head, how could he not have died? She ran up to him and kicked him hard in the stomach, knowing that she hard a pretty tough one.​

 

Nox got into a newer car and tried to hotwire it.

 

Veronica started catiously flicking on all the power switches in her 'house'. One by one they slowly switched on. Revealing a very clean room. Veronica sat herself in front of a outdated computer and switched it on, she began browsing through the cities maps to see the safest possible root to take to get to the Outer Circle. "Seat yourself somewhere if you want." She said, not looking away from the computer screen.

Alexis grinned at Kirsten again. "You can't kill me normally." He swung his arm at Kirsten and slammed her into the wall.

"You better not do that then Alexis," Luke said bitterly. "If you forgot, I am the only one who knows the exact way to kill you and every stinkin' monster infesting this place at the exact same time." He took a step towards Alexis. Alexis took a step back.

Alexis cursed under his breath and backed away even more. Then he darted down the stairs and out of sight knowing that Luke would not be able to catch up to him in time. He hated running away from his prey but this was necessary. Luke was right, he knew the only way to kill him and that was the one thing that made him hold some kind of fear towards Luke. But that was the thing, he was the only one, kill him and there was no way to stop him.

 

Kirsten felt her feet leave the floor, and just as that feeling came, she felt a sharp pain in her back as she was slammed into the wall so hard that she was puched into it a little. She fell on the floor, groaning a little as when she moved, the pain increased. Her head was also affected and became unable to see straight, the room kept spinning. She could of sworn she saw the threat running off, but she couldn't be sure, she was NOT going to give up. Attempting to climb up the wall, Kirsten was still prepared to fight.​

 

Leon woke up feeling somewhat different, his bruises had already settled and he felt like his weight has changed. Taking a quick look at his palms and then the back of his hands he realised his veins where much more clear. He lent onto a part of the broken wall not realising he had punched a hole into it from a simple shift of weight. It was like his monster had slowly took over a part of his humanity once again, this time it was a psychical attribute.
"I'm... a monster", his small, underused, dark voice whispered as he looked in the cracked mirror hanging loosly on the wall.

 

After shocking himself a few times the car started. The docks! If I can get there get a boat and get out.

 

"I'm trying to find a route that will get us safely to the Outer Circle and we don't become food for some certain guests that are lurking in the area." Veronica said as her fingers drummed across the keyboard. Because she was not in the actual headquarters, she had to hack into the system which was easy for her.

 

Nox drove down the roads quickly. He had to get to the docks get a boat and get out.

 

"If you're wondering why I heal so fast it's because I was administered a lot of medical drugs when I was young." Veronica said boredly. She stretched her arms up and yawned. She started thinking about her brother again. "Hey Advent... have you come across a guy while you travelled through the city? He's like a boy version of me."

 

Leon looked out of the gap where the door should be, he could see the light fading into the shade of the building and remembered he saw a human near him before he changed but this time Leon wasn't covered in blood when he awoke. This made him think how this was possible, what happened and the many other questions that followed.
He shook his head knocking back the thoughts, he now had to do some research into his condition not expecting to be able to use more than the senses he gained from his monster. Leon moved slowly and out into the light looking for information with a clear image of the last human he saw, not knowing Alexis was a monster too.
