Demons, Vampires, Slayers...The End of the World Again!

She could only chuckle...
"I'm sorry for being nosy, how old are you?" she asked, chuckling slightly.

 

Dawn smiled, then concentrated, thinking for a moment. "umm......eighteen. I think. Last time I checked, I was eighteen." she stumbled again, this time she bit her lip. "Ow. Damn. I hate when I do that" she complained. "How old are you?" she asked, putting her fingers to her lip.

 

She tried to think of a lie for an age that would seem appropriate for her. Where she was a vampire she was immortal and her body was stuck at 17.
"I'm about... twenty three... twenty four.. but my mind is much more mature that that," she answered. She saw them in front of the house.
"Would you like any help?" she asked, offering.

OOC: i'm very sorry if I take about 7-8 minutes to respond, I'm showing my 8 year old brother "Lady and the Tramp" on youtube haha ^_^;

IC: "You can come in, if you want" Dawn stumbled up the steps, holding her split lip. "Do whatever you want. Watch TV, crash on the couch, eat some food." the last word came out barely recognizable.

 

Missy nodded, though the last thing she said was a necessity...
"I'll just crash out on the couch or something, until morning......comes," she said, looking at her watch. She still had some time before the sun came up... She walked up the steps behind her, in case she fell.
"By the way... being drunk isn't the worst thing. The hangover is," she warned, with a little humor. She remembered her own first drink.

 

"Thanks" Dawn replied. She opened the door, took two steps, and fell on the couch. "I'm not good company right now" she sighed, her eyes already closing. "Thanks for......" she fell asleep. One arm dropped on the floor, the other fell across her chest.

 

She smiled and walked in the kitchen, getting a wash cloth and wetting it, bringing it back to Dawn and setting it over her eyes. She sat in another seat and could only watch her, until she closed her own eyes for a quick nap.

 

couple hours go by, then Dawn woke up. It was still night, and Missy was asleep in a chair. She put her hands on her head, feeling a major headache coming on. A wash cloth was there. Missy must have put it on. Dawn's heart hurt. When had someone done anything kind like that for her? She went into the kitchen and grabbed a couple aspirin, then washed them down with water from a bottle. She stared at the generic countertop, wondering what her next move was.

 

Missy shook her head, opening her eyes. She stretched slightly, seeing that Dawn wasn't on the couch anymore. She yawned, and looked outside. Still dark...

 

Dawn, hearing a noise looked back in the entry way/living room. "Hey Missy, how ya feeling?" she waved, then went to sit across from her. "Thanks for bringing me home" she smiled.

 

"It was my pleasure," she said, stretching out her arms. She saw a fading light outside. The sun would be up any moment.
"Shoot," she mumbled to herself. She laid against the seat again, closing her eyes.

 

"You okay?" Dawn started to get up, looking concerned. The sun was rising quickly.

 

"I'm fine," she said, her eyebrows closing in together. She sat on the chair close to the window, and felt part of the sun touch her shoulder. She shrieked out a hiss then jumped from the chair and hit the wall, actually sticking to it. She lurked in the corner of the house, staring at Dawn, her fangs showing. she took deep breaths.

 

Dawn stared. It all made sense now. The thing buggin her in the back of her mind. "You......." she backed away "You're one of them?" The sun made her hair glow. She looked behind her. The sun was rising fast. "Come with me. Quick!" She ran up the stairs, motioning for Missy to follow.

 

Missy was afraid to move. The burn on her shoulder ached now. Everything in her body said no to follow her, but her mind said yes. She jumped as fast as she could, skimming through the sunlight. She ran up the stairs following her.

 

Dawn ran to the second room in the hallway. "Get in here" she said "Quick!" The sun was following them, rising along the hallway. "There are no windows in here, you'll be fine. Go!"

 

She walked through the door frame
"Thank you," she said, sitting in a chair in the room.

 

"You could have hurt me, but you didn't. You helped me" Dawn smiled slightly. I'll be just downstairs if you need anything. She walked back down the sunlit stairs, back to the kitchen.

 

She looked down at her leather clothes... glad that they didn't soak in water. her hair felt damp, and she still felt tired. she laid in the floor, taking a deep breath and letting her burn wounds have time to heal
