Hi everyone! Oh, and btw, I didn't trick or treat, I just dressed up. We went to church and they threw candy at us for answering Bible questions. It was fun. I don't trick or teart because I know the origins of it.

It orginated when people would leave out people or animals to be sacrificed to the dead demon by the druids who would collect them from each house. If they didn't leave anything out, the demon was supposed to put a curse on them. Eventually the people and animals were replaced with candy, but it's still sacrificing your "treat" to the dead demon to avoid a "trick."
