~: Camping Trip :~

Aly reached out, then hesitated, her eyes guarded. "One that exists no where else." she murmured, slowly taking his hand again. She was still scared of him, she realized, him and Tyler and Jasped. Shivering slightly, she crept out, only to push him out of the way as something else collapsed, throwing her a few feet. "God...damned....unsturdy...roof."

 

Rhone was able to smile more confidentally when she grabbed his hand. Having a companion made the ordeal slightly less horrific...but not by much. SOmething fell in between them, knocking him down. "What the-" He looked at his arm, it had a deep cut in it. Ignoring it, he stood up and searched for Aly. Hearing her voice, he hurried to her. "Come on, let's go," He said, kneeling down to her.

 

Kyle jumped back up with his arm severly hurt and threw out his blade and soared into the air, blade beared. He pushed towards the beast but it swatted him away. The beast untransformed and walked away.
"What the Fuck are you doing!! we're fighting here! and the beast continued to walk away into the forest again....?

 

Aria gripped the plate a little tighter in her hands, walking deeper into the forest and biting down on her lip. She was shivering now, looking around nervously. Though she was afraid to speak too loudly, she swallowed and mustered all of the courage she could find.

"A-Alaric?" She called, her voice oddly echoing. She looked down, walking slowly. Maybe this is a bad idea...

 

She looked up, then nodded, catching her breath. "Next time, I'm not sleeping under a roof." she muttered, pushing herself off the ground and wincing. Her bruises screamed at her for abusing them, but she ignored it. "I think Tyler went to the vehicles...." She looked up, the monster running away. "And..." she pointed at it.

 

"Stupid *******, monster!!!" he yelled at as it went away. He drove his blad into where aly and rhone were, he revved the throttel and with a slash the debry flew into the air and out out of the room. "Aly,Rhone are you guys OK?" he asked as he finally noticed his right shoulder was dislocated.He grabbed it with his other arm and pulled it into place with emmence pain.

 

"I'm with you there," Rhone joked, standing up beside her, "No more roofs," although I doubt outside is even safer. He added to himself. He looked at his arm, it was bleeding pretty bad. Not wanting to spook her, he took his shirt off and wrapped it around the gash on his arm tight. He then looked up at Kyle, "I-I'm alright, I guess. Just a scratch..." He winced as he said it, pointing to his covered arm.

 

Aly shivered, trying to repress memories. Tears flooded her eyes as she gazed at Rhone's cut, but she just ignored them, letting them slip down her cheeks. A bottle....screaming.... She couldn't stop staring, knowing it was rude, but unable to break away.

 

"A-Aly?" Rhone noticed she was crying, staring at his arm. "I-I'm alright, I promise, it's just a cut!" He approached her, trying to comfort her. "Don't worry about it. Are you hurt?"

 

Aly gently raised a hand to the arm, touching her cheeks with her other hand. "So much..." she whispered, her hand trembling as she rested it there. "So much..." She rubbed her cheeks, closing her eyes.

 

"Aly, no, don't cry," Rhone approached her and hugged her with his uninjured arm. "It's alright, I promise. My arm's not too bad, that...that THING is gone." He rubbed her back, still trying to comfort her. He hated seeing her like this.

 

Aly shook her head, rubbing her eyes, and hugging him back. "Sorry...I...I'm sorry." she whispered, banishing the images from her memory. Sorry......

 

Aria swallowed hard, her eyes trying to make out any figures in the darkness. She couldn't see a thing. Even looking behind her, she had walked so far into the darkness that she couldn't even see the edge of the forest. The eerie silence engulfed her and she felt alone, scared. She looked around, biting her lip and staying still there. She turned around, not sure which way she had come from anymore and deciding to just walk straight until she reached the edge. The forest couldn't be that big.

Suddenly, taking a step forward, Aria felt herself drop. She couldn't register how far the drop was, or how she had even fallen, but after a short scream she had hit the ground right on her behind.

"What the..." She winced and groaned, hearing the shatter of the plate hitting the soil beneath her and she frowned, turning in the darkness before crying out slightly, a piece of the plate digging into her palm. She winced, pulling it out and groaning again as her warm blood began to ooze out of the wound. "Where is this...?" She peered through the darkness, a faint orange glow in the distance.

Danael stepped inside his stuffy cabin, looking around. Much to his delight, it didn't seem like he was sharing this cabin with anyone else yet. With this in mind, he locked the door behind him and pulled off his creased, unwashed shirt, stretching out his wings behind him. He examined the soft feathers closely for a brief moment afterward, still surprised as to their appearance. The bottom part of every one of the feathers was a beautiful sky blue, while the tips faded to a snowy white.

Even more unusual had been their sudden appearance about a week before, just after his parents had alerted him that he was to be sent off to the camp. It would have been a mistake to assume the blunette had been born with the ability to fly (Although he had mastered the basics pretty quickly), and he'd been just as surprised as anyone who would have been watching him in the cabin to wake up to the wings he'd still not gotten quite used to.

He stepped over to the bed in the far corner, the one next to the largest window in the cabin. After taking a look underneath, just to double-check that no other camper had chosen it yet, and seeing that it was empty, the shirtless boy set his bag on the bed, sitting next to it and unzipping it. He needed a shower more than anything, but for now, until all of the introductions had been made, he could deal with just a change of clothes. He selected a blue long sleeved shirt and black cargo pants, taking out a thick brown fleece hoodie to help hide his wings.

After putting his dirty clothes away under his bed, he flipped his hood onto his head and headed outside.

 

Slowly, Aria made her way towards the dim light, her eyes slightly narrowed. Wherever she was, there was barely any room to get around. The ceiling was low, so low that even with her short height she had to crouch. Her back beginning to hurt, Aria knelt to the ground and began to crawl towards the lightly, a strange feeling of dread filling her stomach. She suddenly stopped. Maybe it wasn't a good thing to go towards the light. But once she looked behind her, she didn't think she had much of a choice. From behind her, she could hear strange noises. Gurgling of some sort, and a growling sound. Shuddering, she crawled faster, trying not to let her fear take her over.

Alaric...


The sounds sudden became louder and she bit her lip, scrambling out of the narrow space and screaming loudly as it suddenly became darker and much, much colder. She knew she was underground, but she had no idea where this place could lead to. Maybe they had started construction under here for some reason? But what would that reason be? Aria shook her head, moving forward again as her body trembled. The ground beneath was beginning to feel soggy and wet. Like mud. The orange glow seemed to be getting further and further away.

"D-damn it..." She cursed, uncharacteristically as the growling became louder behind her. She looked back, three pairs of glowing red eyes staring back at her. Her eyes grew wide and she stopped, turning on her back and moving away from them still, the wetness of the mud soaking her clothes. She wasn't sure what these things were, but from the lust in their eyes, she knew they were no friends of hers. She shuddered, thinking quietly for some kind of plan as the roar of water suddenly reached her ears.

"It's alright," he whispered, holding her tight. He wasn't sure what brought on the tears, it couldn't simply have been his injury, could it? Still keeping his arm around her, he looked at the cabin. "I wonder if any of my stuff survived..." he muttered, eye the wreckage. That thing sure made a hell of a mess here...

 

"Stuff doesn't matter as long as all of us survived. You guys need to know to defend yourselves. If that thing ever comes back you need to be able to fight because my arm is all cut up from just one hit, it was dislocated but a put it back into place...." he said.

 

Appearing from behind a tree, Tyler gazed at them all with eyes frozen in fear.

"Then teach us." he demanded, still holding the cat he was ordered to guard.

"Teach us how to fight. Teach us to not have fear."
