~: Camping Trip :~

"Okay."

Mizore glanced at Tyler before walking out the cabin door and leaving it open for Ken. She chugged down the rest of her soda while waiting.

 

Ken looked at Tyler he needed to grab an drink to accidently spell on the sleeping man. With that thought in his head he exited the cabin with an michevous smile on his face. Ken walked over to Mizore "alright lets head" he said as he started walking.

 

Mizore took notice of his odd smile. Wonder what's on his mind. She walked beside him and looked up at the sky. "I didn't realize how much time passed. Now adults are around either? What an strange camp...maybe you had something when you talked about that letter."

 

Ken looked up at the sky the stars shined brightly it must be late out he noticed. He continued looking up as he listend to her he was wondering about the same thing. "yep no adults like they want us to die and thanks for relizing what i was talking about so at least one person believed me" He said giving her an smile.

 

Aly shook her head, rubbing her arm subconsciously. She wasn't sure exactly what she was doing, but then she stopped, her eyes wide, like a deer caught in the headlights. She blinked several times, but the picture wouldn't go away. The man flickered in her vision, then slowly walked toward her. Just before he reached her, he disappeared. She quivered with nervous energy, waiting. Had the others seen him?

 

Rhone was humming to himself, staring at his feet as he walked. He could see his feet in semi-sync with Aly's as they walked and when her feet stopped, he looked up. She had stopped walking, staring in the distance, slightly shaking. "Are you okay?" he asked worried.

 

She didn't take her eyes off the place where her father had been. "Did you see that?" she whispered. Her face felt wet, and when she touched it, her cheeks were wet. She rubbed them hurridly, not wanting the boys to see her cry. "Did you see that man?" she finally asked, rubbing her arms.

 

"M-man?" Rhone looked around, he had not seen anyone. "No, I wasn't really paying attention." He started thinking she was sick from the cold water, even though she was dry now. "Are you okay? Maybe you're just hungry." As he said it, he noticed her eyes. Is she crying?

 

She shivered, closing her eyes. "Maybe." she murmured, wrapping her arms around herself. Maybe not. "We should get going then." she said, still quiet, and walked by Rhone, her head down. So she was really insane, it wasn't just the lack of food he would give her or the way he hit her head too hard, making her dizzy.

 

"Isn't fasting religious?" Aria asked curiously as they approached the hall. She yawned again. "Are you doing it for religion, or are you just not eating?" She had always wondered about Alaric's religious views, but she hadn't ever really bothered to ask unless it was mentioned. She walked with him quietly, something nagging at her as they did so. She felt strange ever since he had mentioned his brother's death. He and her weren't all too close, but the loss truly bothered her. She wondered if Alaric was really alright or what she may be able to help with.

 

Rhone put his arm around her, trying to calm her down. He couldn't help but blush as he did it, but he acted like it was nothing special. "We're almost there. I bet you're just hungry. We'll get you something to eat the moment we get back and see if you feel better."

 

She almost jumped at the sudden contact, then blushed slightly, looking up into Rhone's eyes. They were pretty, not muddy brown like her dad's, she decided. "Do you think so?" she murmured, looking down at her hands. "I just....he wasn't supposed to find me here." she finally said.

 

Rhone's face felt like it was on fire when she looked at him. He almost made himself disappear, but didn't. "y-yea...wait, who's he?" He had thought she imagined someone random, but now it seemed like she knew who it was....well, he hoped she imagined it.

 

She shook her head, clenching her hands. "My father." she murmured, closing her her eyes for a moment. "And someone best left forgotten." she took a deep breath, then relaxed slowly. The realization dawned on her that she was letting a guy touch her. He wasn't hitting her. She smiled a little. Different indeed.

 

"Oh," Rhone's eyes dropped. Fathers have always been a weird topic for him to talk about. "I'm sure you just imagined it," he said, pulling his arm back just a little bit now that he felt her relaxing. "I didn't see anyone." While thinking of a different topic, he realized she wasn't carrying anything. "Don't you have a bag? Where's your stuff?"

 

Aly tilted her head. "Stuff?" She didn't understand. "Why would I bring stuff here? Why would I even have stuff?" This was something else different. Her grey eyes looked up at Rhone, confused again. "You're very different." she finally said.

 

Rhone was confused. He wasn't sure how to answer her question. But he was then distracted by her comment. "I'm different?" He asked, slightly frowning. Not just different, but "very different". "What do you mean by that?"

 

She shrugged, deciding to be blunt. "You haven't hit me, or yelled at me, even though I was stupid and am slowing you down. You talk about things like I should have some, but I'm not supposed to." She smiled a little. "You're not like other guys."

 

"Hit you? I would never do that!" Rhone exclaimed, appalled. "And I don't have a temper so I wouldn't yell at you either." He returned her smile, continuing, "and you're not stupid. Nor are you like other girls, either. But I'm not complaining..." He didn't say anything about her bags, it was obvious she didn't have any.
