Camping Trip...?

Aria was still curious, but was thrown out of her thoughts when he splashed her. She gave a half smile and from out of no where tackled him.

 

Aria untangled herself from him and rose the surface, sputtering and moving hair out of her face where a smile still existed. She peered into the water, waiting for Alaric to come up.

 

Aria shut her eyes and let out a small whimper when he scooped her up, surprising her. She opened them again, realizing she didn't hit the water and stared up at him as he shook his head, causing more water to fall into her face. She crinkled her nose for a second until he stopped. "Must you scare me?" She asked. "I thought you were a sea-monster!" She joked, still staring up at him with an innocent smile.

 

Aria couldn't help but laugh subtly. "Yes I do like it..." She replied.

 

Without being able to stop herself, Aria leaned slightly upwards and caught his lips in a gentle kiss.

 

Aria felt his hands shift beneath her as if he was losing his grip and carefully, without breaking the kiss, she wrapped her arms around his neck and slipped out of his hold, allowing herself to stand in the water against him.

 

Reluctantly, Aria broke apart, in need of air. She then buried her face in his neck and nuzzled comfortably, her eyes closed.

Aria nodded in his embrace, relaxed in his arms.

 

Aria looked up into his thoughtful eyes. "Is...Something wrong?" She asked quietly.

Aria couldn't hide a smile that was forming as she rested her head against his chest. "Good, I'm glad you're happy." She said. It was starting to get dark, but she didn't say anything about it. She didn't want to end the moment.
