RULES

1. No Godmodding, Powerplaying, Controlling someone else's character, etc.
2. Read KHV's basic rules here: http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.ph...-Section-Rules
3. 20 words per post minimum.
4. Be somewhat active. If you take a break, let someone know. If you're quitting, let someone know. Otherwise your character(s) is/are up for grabs/killing.
5. No limit on character number as long as you keep up with them.
   
6. If you use pictures, put them in spoilers.
7. There will be no original Arrancar characters. This is a weird rule. If you want an Arrancar, you have to take one from the series. It can be any Arrancar (not just Espada). Power levels and organization, as well as history, from the series won't matter here.
8. Everyone has to be a Soul Reaper or Arrancar.
   
9. You cannot be a member of the First Division.
10. You can't use your Hollow mask for more than 5 posts before it "breaks." This includes the post in which you put it on. We're not going to do the whole "half mask" thing. I mean, you can say you're only wearing half your mask, but you still have only 5 posts.
11. Only Captains can have Bankai (unless they don't want to). I'll allow certain Lieutenants to have it, but you have to ask me first. Anyone else is out of luck unless you're really special.
12. I can and will break my own rules since I made this RP for plot purposes. If you want to do the same, you have to ask me first. Depending on the situation, I'll let you.
13. No characters from the actual series (aside from Arrancar and a certain cameo) exist here, but you are free to use the abilities of canon characters.

Bio: One of the best students to ever pass through the academy, but never applied himself to any of his studies. He had the smarts, but never wants to give it his all. He personally doesn't perfer to fight, he would rather talk it out, but if their is no way around it, he will pull out his sword and fight to protect soul society. He has had a outstanding rivarly with Mugi since they were in the academy. They have always been trying to out due each other. Obtaining Bankai before each other, becoming lieutenant, and finally becoming captain.
Personality: Laid back, always trying to avoid doing his captains duties. Will avoid conflict with everybody as much as he, especailly women. He enjoys the easy life and would rather go out and have fun, rather than work. Can be found anywhere expect his office or the battlefield. Most of the time sleeping where he can't be found.

Bio: Zenata grew up in the Rukongai and as such, lost his eye because of it. That's all he'll say about the matter before going quiet about it. Meals came every day as his father had a steady job that involved 'extractions'. At a very young age it was known that Zenata was a speedy person (like his father). That was the deciding factor in joining the second Squadron. In the Academy he wasn't much for learning kidou. Sticking to the basics and factoring in a few more, squeezing in a few years training to hone those skills along with his speed. Since he joined in the seconds squad he rarely speaks, because he found no one to speak too he focuses solely on his errands. Rarely will he draw his blade since he trained hard to do so. His skill when he sword was drawn combined with his speed allowed him to quickly ascend his Division's rank until he was second in command. He only had to speak when spoken too, and he wasn't against having such power. So he settled down in a modest apartment and takes frequent rooftop vigils in area he grew up in.
Personality: Outwardly cold and formal. Appears only at social functions to represent his captain.
Other: An only child. Likes to read. With his salary, he sends money back home. He loves sweets and spicy things. His rei aura is sea-green.

Release Command: In all the darkness in this world, there is plenty of light. Let them know this, Akiko!
Shikai Appearance: His sword glows for a moment, before seeming to break off from three pieces, starting from the tip and ending with the hilt. A total of three glowing white, hovering disks. They burn to the touch, easily cutting through flesh and they also fire out small narrow volleys of white reiatsu blasts from each disk(two posts worth of blasts for each disk, is that okay?). He can also move them at will but only one at a time. Despite burning things, they are very fragile.

Bio: Due to her temperment, nobody expected Noire of all people to ascend to the rank of Captain, but upon gaining her Shikai her ability helped her progress at a dramatic pace. While her leadership skills are about average, there is no doubting her willingness to step in harms way for those allied with her, no matter who they are.
Personality: Unreserved and relentless, and can act very hot-blooded and loud.

Shikai Power: Time Dilation (Allows her to place somebody in a different speed of time, including herself. Also allows access to her signature move, a (as-of-yet nameless) javelin-like shot that is fairly weak, but can be used rapidly.

Bankai Power: Enhanced Time Dilation (An even stronger form of her Shikai ability. At it's strongest it allows her to stop time completely for everyone but herself, but this can only be maintained for a couple of seconds. In addition, her javelin move is enhanced.

Fifth Division Captain Arashi Zanshou

Bio: Arashi has spent a great deal of time in the lower ranks of the Divisions, having been transferred to every single one before revealing that he had mastered Bankai and becoming a captain soon afterwards. He took over the the same Division his brother had been Captain of prior to disappearing. He asked the Captain Commander about it only to find that his brother had been promoted.
Personality: Arashi dislikes sticking to the rules, finding many of them too restricting. He never refers to others by their last name, even other Captains. The only time he acts moderately serious is during a fight or when his emotions start deciding his actions. Although Arashi believes a Captain should use any means neccessary to bring an opponent down, he neglects the use of Kido because he prefers taking things up close and personal.
Other: Based heavily off of the character of my fanfic. XD Specializes in manipulation of Spiritual Energy.

Sealed Appearance: White cloth on the handle, a longer and slightly thinner blade than a regular Zanpakuto with a rectangular hilt.

Shikai Power: Zasetsu has the power over light. While it can release blades of concentrated spirit energy, it can also release a bright light to blind enemies as well as allowing Arashi to become invisible although he cannot activate his other abilites in that state. The more light there is in an area, the stronger Zasetsu is.
Bankai Appearance and Name: Tenzasetsu
Bankai Power: Tenzasetsu gives an all-around boost in Arashi's abilities. *Inb4Ichigoripoff* Tenzasetsu forfeits the ability of invisibility while gaining two others. It can suck in all the light in an area as well as becoming stronger in either extreme darkness or extreme brightness.
Hollow Mask: Mask [Will become a Vizard later. Fires blue Ceros and doesn't need a "stance" to do so.]

Fifth Division Lieutenant Naoto Ozawa

Bio: Naoto joined the academy at an early age from the persistence of her guardian. She was homeless for a large number of years before being taken in by an old man, who noticed Naoto had a knack for fighting. During the time she was out in the streets, she was approached by countless people, figuring they could over power her and cause her harm. However, regardless of her appearance, Naoto proved those people wrong by constantly fighting back. It was at one point where she would challenge random men at fights so she could win money. When she was taken in, he taught her how to control the urge to fight and now mainly uses kidou unless she knows she must use her Zanpakuto.
Personality: Naoto normally comes off as a serious person, but really isn’t. She’s quiet and calm, but can lose her temper fairly easy. If someone persists on irritating hr, she will fight back, but prefers to ignore them. She dislikes talking about herself and tends to avoid it. She was never really comfortable showing her emotions or opening herself up to someone. Not many people really know of her background because of this.
Other: When wanting to release a cero when she has the mask on, Naoto points the palm of her hand towards the direction she wants to send it, releasing a red cero.

Zanpakuto Name: Rensa-gatana

Release Command: Multiply
Shikai Appearance: Two swords that are chained from the end of their hilts. However, on the chain there are small daggers attached to it that hang loosely. There are about 15 daggers attached to the chain.
Shikai Power: when Rensa-gatana is first released, it looks like it can’t do much, but the daggers on the chain are able to disappear and grow into the size of a normal sword. When those daggers separate themselves from the chain, they remain invisible and Naoto can control those daggers with a flick of her wrists. She can also make the size of the daggers either grow to the size of a normal sword, or stay the size they were when attached to the sword.

Sixth Division Captain Ryuzaki Sasaki

Bio: As a young soul reaper Ryuzaki was quite mediocre in terms of combat and skill. Barely graduating from the academy he was assigned to squad 6. Despite his poor grades his captain found great potential in Ryuzaki and trained him to the best off his ability. With his captain's help he became a great and powerful Soul Reaper who was able to stand by his captain's side as lieutenant. Ryuzaki greatly admired his captain and even when he learned his bankai he kept it a secret in order to continue to work with his captain. Unfortunately disaster struck when his captain turned into a Zanjen. Taking responsibility for his squad and the salvation of his captain, Ryuzaki confronted his captain and faced him in battle. Barely making out of the battle alive Ryuzaki killed his foe and became the new captain of squad 6. He has been the captain for quite the long time and has gained a bond with his squad members but the sudden betrayal of his fourth seat member surprised him. His inability to realize his member's true nature and stop him leads him to accept any blame for the 10 squad captain's death.
Personality: At first glance Ryuzaki looks like a cold and serious person, which is partially true. He is a person who takes his responsibilities very seriously and will do what he can to get things done. Despite this he has a friendly side that can be shown once you get to know him. One thing he love the most is a good fight. Though he is not one to pick fight he will accept any challenge in order to strengthen himself.

Shikai Power: Bukishukun's ability allows Ryuzaki to summon forth many different kinds of weapons for him to use. These weapons any be anything from swords, axes, a bow and many more. Ryuzaki can only have one weapon out at a time so in order for Ryo to summon a new weapon his weapon must either break or be discarded by himself. Exceptions to this rule is weapons that need another in order to operate (eg. bow and arrows, dual swords, etc)
Bankai Name: Shinsei Bukishuken
Bankai Appearance: The bankai takes the form of an armor and black cloak that covers Ryuzaki's body. The overall appearance is similar to that of Bukishuken's appearance himself as he retains the same mouth piece that covers the bottom section of the face. The armor is very light but has defensive properties. The limit of weapon creation he had before has now been removed and Ryuzaki also has the power to move the weapon with his mind

Seventh Division Captain Kobayashi Rai

Bio: Kobayashi Became a soul reaper at a young age. Head of the Rai family of the soul society. Graduated from the Soul Reaper Academy as head of class and is a master of Hadō and Bakudō. Also can use Shunkō but rather not so only uses it as a last resort. He first became lieutenant of squad 2 until he was promoted to Squad 7 as captain.
Personality: Funny and caring Kobayashi is almost always there for soul reapers even if there not in his squad. His life story is a secret most people don't know. During battles though he is always right on target never wasting a movement.For some reason he walks the Seireitei at night.
Other: Loves to visit the Department of Research and Development and is rumored to be making his own kido.

Eighth Division Captain Sanosuke "Sano" Torasai

Bio: Sanosuke attended the academy alongside Hatsu and the two became quick friends. When Hatsu went to the Tenth-Division, "Sano" went to the eighth. Unlike Hatsuharu, Sanosuke quickly rose to the rank of Lieutenant. After the Espada defected, his Vizard Captain disappeared. There were Hollowfication signs around, leading Soul Society to believe that the Captain defected to the Espada. The Captain-Commander appointed someone else, who had learned Bankai recently, to Captain of the Division. Refusing to believe his Captain had defected, Sanosuke challenged his new Captain. The Captain used Bankai in the battle and gained an advantage but was defeated when Sanosuke stabbed him through the stomach with his Shikai. Barely having won the battle, Sanosuke was recommended to become the Captain, and his opponent became his Lieutenant.
Sanosuke is leading the squad to find Captain Sohma and is in Hueco Mundo with the others (minus Yamata and Hatsu)
Personality: Sanosuke is the typical Soul Reaper, working by the rules and using formalities unless it becomes a hassle. He has a charismatic personality and is known to get easily excited. He tends to yell enthusiastically when excited, especially in battle.

Zanpakuto Name: Miroku

Shikai Appearance: Miroku becomes a light blue staff with a ring on the end. The ring has charms hanging around it. The other end has blade, half a foot long.
Shikai Power: The power to make tornadoes. Tornadoes grow from the ring at the end. The tornado can detach from Miroku and Sanosuke can control them. The more tornadoes he makes, the smaller they have to be. He can have one tornado attached to the ring and uses it as a whip, while keeping the tornado properties.

Tenth Division Captain Lanan Sohma

Bio: Lanan Sohma was the Lieutenant of the late Tenth-Division Captain. He didn't have an extraordinary background, he was simply a talented Soul Reaper. He was never interested in gaining a mask and Vizards to him were nothing special, just another group of Soul Reapers. Therefore, he stood by his Captain's side and protested the execution of Vizards. However, when Kyo killed his Captain, he wondered if that was the right choice. His squad was left Captain-less until he revealed he had learned Bankai long ago and kept it hidden until he could master it. Because of this, he was promoted to Captain. He volunteers to investigate the Dangai disturbance but supposedly never made it to the gate.
Personality: By the book, serious and solemn. He has quite the temper which always catches people off guard because of his usually solemn expression. He vowed revenge on Kyo for killing his Captain and swears to bring him to justice.

Zanpakuto Name: Naranja
Sealed Appearance: Two Katanas as long as the one in the picture^. The sheaths look like bamboo.
Spirit Appearance: A small monkey wearing a pink kimono with blue flowers on it.
Release Command: Freak out!
Shikai Appearance: The blades bend back and wrap around his arms as they turn into vines, four from each blade, that hang of his shoulders.
Shikai Power: The vines can stretch and contract quickly. Lanan has the ability to control them at will. He can make the vines group together and grow thorns for melee attacks. By punching the ground, he can make his vines instantly come up somewhere else, usually around enemies.
Bankai Name: Selvanaranja
Bankai Appearance: Any clothes on his torso disappears and the vines wrap around his chest and arms completely. The vines multiply in number and increase in thickness. A large number of vines come out from his back and can support him in air and also dig into the ground like his Shikai attack. All the vines have thorns on them and can even turn to and from wood.

Tenth Division Lieutenant Hatsuharu "Hatsu" Tiburon

Bio: Hatsuharu joined the Academy to be a Soul Reaper like his brother. He wasn't a prodigy or anything special, but he was decent. He became the tenth seat of his division.His brother, Kyo, always helped him train. One day, while training with Kyo, Hatsuharu discovered he could access Hollow powers. Unfortunately, he almost lost control immediately. Kyo was able to subdue him and give him control back using his own Hollow mask, something Hatsu and no one else knew about. Kyo told him to keep it a secret since this was during the post-Zanjen scare and it was illegal to be a Vizard and Hatsu agreed. However, he let his own powers slip and was sentenced to death. His Captain stood up for him and eventually repealed the Execution Act. Excited as he was, he was still surprised to see that Kyo wanted to keep his own Hollow powers secret. He was able to become third seat after training with his Hollow powers, something that his squad saw as an unfair advantage.

When Kyo defected, Hatsuharu was left in shock. By the time he regained composure, he saw his Captain being slain by his older brother. He immediately attacked his brother, who was now acting insane, but was stopped by the Negacion. He couldn't help but watch as his brother floated away. He was then promoted to Lieutenant, something that many people were against because of his status as Kyo's brother. He proved to be a great Lieutenant, finally earning the respect of squad. Since the defection, he has found himself fighting Kyo many times but they never finish their fight. He has kept this a secret from everyone, including his Captain.
Personality: Cocky and sarcastic. He almost always has a smirk on his face despite whatever he's really feeling. The only thing known to mess with his composure is bring up his brother or his late Captain. The feelings both topics bring make him feel weak.
Other: When donning his mask, his voice screeches like a bird (Ichigo has that weird breathing thing, Hatsu screeches) His eyes turn black with dark purple irises. He fires his red Cero by holding his fist in front of his face and thrusting it forward.

Zanpakuto Name: Raiya
Sealed Appearance: Look in the picture above^ with the middle carved out.

Release Command: Surge into the hearts of the fearful.
Shikai Appearance: The blade turns a light gold while the handle becomes a regular gold. A dark golden chain erupts from the hilt goes around his back, wrapping itself around his other arm.
Shikai Power: The chain can grow and shrink, giving Hatsu an extra whip-like weapon. Raiya controls electricity with a small amount of it always surrounding the chain and blade.

Its attack is called Relam Trueno. The chain unwraps itself as he raises the blade and the chain goes in the same direction as the blade, growing. The blade and chain are covered in a large amount of electricity and the blade becomes whip like as he slashes. (Think of Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho but with a chain inside of it made of electricity instead of Reiatsu)

Eleventh Squad Captain Ignelia ‘Iggy’ Hikauru/Kenpachi

Bio: Ignelia grew up in the south district of Rukongai as a lone orphan when one day her immense spiritual pressure manifested in force all at once, causing a rip in the fabric of space of the Soul Society and somehow attracting a huge number of Hollow to the area. Soul Reaper's were dispatched immiediatly to the area in order to cleanup. After determining that Ignelia was the source of the issue, and realising the potential she held due to her sheer amount of spiritual pressure (as well as it being a safety measure), she was conducted into the academy. In all honesty, she was abismal to almost everything other than her Spiritual Pressure control and her actual fighting skill (which is surprising considering her appearance and apparent age and mannerism). It took her a long while to learn her Zanpakuto's name as Iggy is known for rarely sitting still and to be brimming with energy. She has often joked (albeit, regarding Iggy, it is entirely possible that her 'joke' is in fact true) that her zanpakuto; first known as Shirotenshi (Whiteangel) got so fed up of waiting for her that in the end it just did the work for her and dragged Iggy into her inner world of its own accord. After meeting her zanpakuto's spirit however, Iggy seemed to grow as a person... not by much, but she started to excel in her other classes. She eventually graduated into the 11th division where at first, she was welcomed with hostility due to her nature, but she quickly found her place, proved herself and became a respected member to her peers.
On a particular mission against several high level Hollow (of Adjuchas and Menos Grande level) Ignelia awakened to her Hollow powers and lost herself to such an extent that she almost became a Zanjen, however she was able to revert back to normal thanks to the help of her captain, who by surprise, refused to kill her outright because it meant he would lose a valuable opponent to fight against as he valued her as such. However... what Iggy almost became when turning into a Zanjen stayed as an inner Hollow spirit.
Ignelia trained for a long period to gain control of her Hollow power, and has now actually struck an accord with her alternate Persona which has named herself Linegia (which is an anagram of Ignelia's name). Lin after trying to take control of Iggy's body constantly has come to respect Ignelia's power to constantly push her back, but at the same time, Iggy found a strange sense of trust in Lin, considering her to be a part of herself and thus she treats Lin with respect too. Also, as a result of her Hollowfication, her Zanpakotou has undergone a permanent change in it's own right.
It was also during this time that Iggy through her training mastered her Bankai, and became a true power house of the 11th division.
In recent years, it became known that the Captain of the 11th squad was dying from an illness. Not wanting to leave things unfinished, he challenged the members of his squad to try and beat him for the right to be Captain. Iggy was one of the few who volunteered. While some from other divisions objected due to her being a Vizard, the Captain refused to acknowledge them and reminded everyone that the rule of Squad 11 was that the strongest prevail, and as such, he didn't discriminate against her. All that mattered was that she was strong, and that he just wanted to die by fighting someone stronger than he was and not from illness.
Despite her Captain's sheer and overwhelming power, she was somehow able to come out victorious, and whilst she didn't actually want to kill the current Kenpachi, she respected his wish to die in battle and so she finished what she started, although it pained her to do so. She is now the Captain of the 11th division and is respected by her subordinates for having earned her place. However, even though she now holds the title of Kenpachi, she doesn't mind whether people refer to her as such or not, although she has claimed to prefer being addressed normally.
Personality: Ignelia is fun, loving, bubbly, kind, silly and energetic. She is rarely ever serious about anything other than fighting. She does love a good fight as is the nature of her division.
Her inner Hollow Linegia however... is pretty opposite, except for the fighting part... she likes a good fight too.

Bio: During his time at the academy, Mugi excelled at swordplay and fighting, while he lacked in kido arts. But that didn't stop him from graduating and finally becoming a soul reaper, just like he always dreamed of.....that and being the strongest soul reaper to ever live! He knew enough kido to pass, while he was always training his blade, body and mind for combat. One day while he was out on a mission to the human world tracking down a hollow, he was ambushed by and was brought to the point of death, that's when he heard his sword speak to him, and he gained more strength than he ever had before, and slayed the hollow that almost had him for dinner. Later on down his road, he was locked into a pitched battle with a former vizard who finally lost it. The vizard lost, but not till he made Mugi into what he was, a vizard. Mugi hates that became one, and never uses his vizard powers, untill he is on the brink of death and he let's loose his un-holy power. Has had a rivalry with Sozen for as long as they have known each other, over pretty much everything.
Personality: He is a kind hearted spirit, but he has the ferocity of a samurai warrior. He will always be up for a fight, weather it is for fun, or to the death. For the most part, he is serious, but he has been known to crack a joke or two in his time. He has passion for everything that he does, because he was taught that if you don't love something and have a passion for it, then what use is there to living if you have nothing to live for. He cherishes he underlings and fellow captians an soul reapers.
Other: Will sometimes escape from his captains work to go relax under a tree and enjoy silence or practice his swordplay.

Bio: Minosuka has always admired the Soul Society and what they do. Even as a young girl she always grabbed whatever was near her to practice how to use a sword. When Minosuka had been accepted into the Soul Reaper Academy, she was thrilled. However, she found that it was much harder to progress than she had first believed. Always at the bottom of her class, she felt like giving up on her dream. Then one day, a captain came to the school to look at upcoming students. When she saw the captain, who she would later learn was the Squad 13 captain, she had found a new goal to strive for. She wouldn't be just the best she could be; she already knew she was there. She would become the best Soul Reaper in the whole academy, just so she could fight alongside that captain. Over the years Minosuka grew better with her teachers, flying to the top of her class. Her kido skills we not that great, but her swordsmanship more than made up for it. After passing the Academy, Minosuka knew just where she would go. She went to join Squad 13. When she joined Squad 13, she met the captain she saw at the Academy once more. Even though it had been years, she still felt the urge to fight alongside that captain. Soon enough she got her wish, with her becoming so strong that she became the Lieutenant of Squad 13. After years of working with her captain however, an acident occured while fighting a hollow, and her captain was killed. She never considered becoming a Captain herself, but when she was recommended by another captain, she took the Captain Exam, and passed. Now she protects Squad 13 as best as she can, hoping no one experiences what she went through.
Personality: Minosuka is a strong willed person, who will put herself in danger for her Squad. She will always lend a helping hand to anyone, even those from another Squad. Many mistake her for being an unworthy captain with her laid-back personality, however she makes that her weapon, as well as using it to make friends with her squad.

Oorashi Suimen can turn it's blade into a torrent of water, growing as large as it needs, even becoming large enough to make a mini tidal wave, as well as making any form it needs: a second sword, multiple water-spears, shuriken, ect. (The water inside the hilt forms with the water in the air to allow this. If that water were to disappear, than the power is disabled until the water refils inside the sword)

Bio: Virem was a prodigy. He graduated from the academy in record time. The Captain-Commander decided to enlist him in his personal squad to groom him into a novel Shinigami, eventually intending him to become Lieutenant when the CC retires and gives spot to his current Lieutenant. However, Virem was mentally unstable. Shortly before the defects, he revealed to the Captain-Commander that he was a Vizard and had been since he was a child, even before he became a Shinigami. Before anything could be done, he disappeared and minutes after, Kyo killed the Tenth-Division Captain and formed "the Espada." Virem hasn't been seen since but is expected to be a part of the Espada
Personality: Even more sadistic than Kyo, Virem enjoys fighting and causing others to bleed, something that goes well with his abilities. He seems to be even more insane than Kyo, but is shown to be mentally unstable at times when his personality changes completely. He'll go from a raging murdering maniac to a bored adolescent in seconds.
Other: He has sharp teeth, a peculiar trait. His Hollow voice is his own and an echoing high voice. His eyes turn a blood red, and his pupils turn black.

Shikai Power: Shikai is only activated when the blade touches blood. Once released, Bradnias can control blood. While it can't make blood, it can make more after "drinking" blood. He uses the blood to form other weapons or makes his sword longer, whatever the need be.
Bankai Name: Bradniaslihita
Bankai Appearance: Different from other Bankais. He claims he didn't learn it on his own but was forced to. The blood from Bradnias forms wings on Virem's backs and hardens. The sword becomes rigid and curvy, losing the symbols and becoming dark red in color. The blood on the sword turns into the shape of a bat's head and can lash out like a whip and bite. It continues to drink blood and accumulate it, but Virem never lets it finish its "meal."

Bio: As a student at the Soul Reaper Academy, Shinjiro excelled at melee combat and use of kido. He was so good that when he graduated, he was immediately given a seated position in the 3rd Squad. Shinjiro rose through the ranks and quickly became the Lieutenant. During one of his private training sessions, he gained Vizard powers. He hid them and made sure he never had to use them ever. Shinjiro continued to train and train, learning how to use Bankai. Some time after he perfected his Bankai, he realized that he had become even more powerful than his Captain. When the defections happened, he decided to go, knowing that the 13 Court Guard Squads had nothing left to offer him.
Personality: He is cold and calculating. No matter what happens, he always fights with honor. It goes so far that he would never attack an unarmed opponent. Shinjiro will never back down from a fight, even if it is a fight he thinks he'll lose. Whenever he puts on his Hollow Mask, he becomes more erratic, but he still fights with honor.
Other: When Shinjiro dons his Hollow Mask, he has silver irises and dark gray sclera. He fires silver Ceros from the tip of his sword. Each of his Ceros are orbs that can be guided by his sword. The sound of his distorted voice adds a roaring sound.

Zanpakuto Name: Ryukotsusei

Shikai Power: Shinjiro can rev the sword handle to increase the strength of each strike. He can rev Ryukotsusei up to a maximum of 7 times before he needs to attack.

Ryukotsusei's special attack is called Soryuha. Shinjiro pours his Spirit Energy into his Zanpakuto. When he pours in enough energy, a red aura envelops Ryukotsusei and extends from it. He can use it to extend the range of his attacks, but he cannot fire it off. He can boost the strength of his Soryuha by revving the handle.
Bankai Name: Messatsu Ryukotsusei
Bankai Appearance: The Blade becomes larger, with a golden dragon running along the length of the blade. Ryukotsusei gains a Cross-guard that resembles two dragon wings. A Dragon head adorns the center of the Cross-guard. The handle is lengthened and a chain hangs off of the end.

The Bankai also give Shinjiro heavy armor on his left arm and both of his legs. The armor is a dark red and decorated with golden trim and draconian designs. Shinjiro's speed is impeded by the weight of the armor, though he has become accustomed to it through years of training.

With Bankai, he gains the ability to fire off powerful energy waves. This technique is called Messenkou.

Bio: When Ryunosuke first became a student in the Academy, the students looked down at him because of his inability to call on his Zanpakutou after his first two years. Because of this, he constantly got into fights to show that he is a capable fighter even without a Zanpakutou. His constant fighting earned him the reputation of a Battle-crazed Maniac. After he finally learned how to use his Zanpakutou, the fights began to stop, though they still happened every once in a while. When he finally graduated, he became a seated officer immediately in Squad 4. Over time, after a mission with the former captain of Squad 4 killing an Adjuchas class Menos Grande, Ryu discovered his Vizard powers. Afraid of what the others might think, the captain tried to kill him. However, in his attempt to kill him, Ryu ended up killing his own Captain. After that point, he decided to hide his Vizard powers no matter what. He told the others that he had killed the captain because he became a Vizard. Despite protests from the other seated officers, he was promoted to captain rank. 3 years after he became a captain, he discovered how to use his Bankai. Soon after, he had become known as the "Second Most Powerful Shinigami", though he knew this to be a lie. He hadn't become that powerful, at least, not in his mind. With his knowledge, he knew that he was stronger, due to his hidden Vizard powers. When the defections happened, he decided to defect with the others, revealing the truth of why he became a captain. With this revelation, he left his Squad behind and became an Espada.
Personality: Ryu has a powerful desire to fight. No matter what happens, even if someone close to him gets hurt, he wants to fight. He has a desire to find a decent challenge for himself. Because of that, he acts horribly to anybody he meets, saying that he does not care what someone can do. He believes that if you can fight, you're worth something.
Other: His mask adds two additional voices. The base voice is his own, the second voice is Shi's and the third belongs to Hakai. His ceros are black and red and fire off as a double-helix. Ryu fires his ceros from his hand.

Zanpakuto Name: Sougenmu [Twin Phantasm Dream]

Release Command: Bring death and destruction to the world!
Shikai Appearance: Shikai
Shikai Power: He can dash forward at a high speed and charge his blades with Spirit Energy and slashes with either one. This technique is called Rakan Dantojin [Arhat Severing Tower Blade].

He also has the ability to create a clone of himself and give him the other blade. That way, he can attack from two directions at once. This techniques is called Misogi [Purification]. He can still do Rakan Dantojin during this technique.

Another ability he has is to jump up and then drop down quickly and attack unexpectedly. This technique is Hyakkishu [Hundred Devil Attacks]. Can be used in conjunction with Misogi.
Bankai Name: Kyuukyoku Sougenmu [Ultimate Twin Phantasm Dream]
Bankai Appearance: Bankai
Bankai Power: During Bankai, he can increase his movement speed drastically. This is called Ashura Senku [Asura Flashing Sky].

He can combine the butts of his swords so that they form a giant Sword-Staff. He charges it with his own Spirit Energy and throws it. It creates a huge boomerang-like arc. This move is called Tenshou Kaireki Jin [Heaven Shocking Sea-Plowing Blade].

He gathers Spirit Energy into his sword and then he launches it. This move is called Meido Gohado [Dark Painful Great Surge]. Can be used in conjunction with Misogi.

This technique can only be used during Misogi. Ryu and his clone approach from opposite sides of his enemy and then clash blades on the enemy. This technique is called Tenchi Sokaigen [Heaven and Earth Twin Crushing Raise].

Bio: Hatsu's older brother, Kyo secretly obtained Hollow powers but kept them hidden. Hatsu was the first to know when Kyo saw that Hatsu had the same power. He kept his powers secrets even after it was legal to be a Vizard. One day, Kyo attacked the Tenth-Division Captain, acting insane. He was stronger than any Vizard has shown to be and killed the Captain. It is suspected that he was the one who opened the Negacion. He has fought Hatsu many times, but always left before the battle got heated. He's openly told Hatsuharu and anyone who asks that he is not the leader of the Espada, just the figure head.
Personality: Kyo seems to be insane. He bursts into laughter at the weirdest times. He is a sadist, enjoying dealing pain to others. He is an extremely aggressive fighter and enjoys fighting very much, something that was different than the Kyo Hatsuharu remembers.
Other: Unlike other Vizards who speak with a dual voice when wearing a mask, he speaks with only one voice: a distorted deeper version of his. He fires his Cero in the same way that Shinji does, by holding his fist out in front of him and firing it in a wide arc but hates using it because it causes him to be still. When wearing the mask, his eyes turn completely blue.

Zanpakuto Name: Due {Pronounced "Do-eh}

Spirit Appearance: Kyo describes it as a shark on feet.
Release Command: Rip to shreds!
Shikai Appearance: The tip of the blade splits horizontally, giving his sword a T-like appearance. It then fades into two identical blades.
Shikai Power: Water shoots out from the guard. Kyo can control the water. He does so by twirling his blades, giving him the appearance of dancing. He can make the water into steam or ice but loses the ability to control it once it changes state, however, he can always make more. He can control water that is not from his blade by touching it with his blade.

Personality: He knows the very definition of fear and enjoys exploiting another's weakness. Due to the nature of his zanpakuto, he has become a force to be reckoned with, even coming on-par with a captain's fighting level before becoming a Vizard. He does his best to make his opponent feel hopeless about a situation before putting an end to them and if they show no fear, he will only finish the battle even faster.

Bio: As a young soul reaper Ryuzaki was quite mediocre in terms of combat and skill. Barely graduating from the academy he was assigned to squad 6. Despite his poor grades his captain found great potential in Ryuzaki and trained him to the best off his ability. With his captain's help he became a great and powerful Soul Reaper who was able to stand by his captain's side as lieutenant. Ryuzaki greatly admired his captain and even when he learned his bankai he kept it a secret in order to continue to work with his captain. Unfortunately disaster struck when his captain turned into a Zanjen. Taking responsibility for his squad and the salvation of his captain, Ryuzaki confronted his captain and faced him in battle. Barely making out of the battle alive Ryuzaki killed his foe and became the new captain of squad 6. He has been the captain for quite the long time and has gained a bond with his squad members but the sudden betrayal of his fourth seat member surprised him. His inability to realize his member's true nature and stop him leads him to accept any blame for the 10 squad captain's death.
Personality: At first glance Ryuzaki looks like a cold and serious person, which is partially true. He is a person who takes his responsibilities very seriously and will do what he can to get things done. Despite this he has a friendly side that can be shown once you get to know him. One thing he love the most is a good fight. Though he is not one to pick fight he will accept any challenge in order to strengthen himself

Shikai Power: Bukishukun's ability allows Ryuzaki to summon forth many different kinds of weapons for him to use. These weapons any be anything from swords, axes, a bow and many more. Ryuzaki can only have one weapon out at a time so in order for Ryo to summon a new weapon his weapon must either break or be discarded by himself. Exceptions to this rule is weapons that need another in order to operate (eg. bow and arrows, dual swords, etc)
Bankai Name: Shinsei Bukishuken
Bankai Appearance: The bankai takes the form of an armor and black cloak that covers Ryuzaki's body. The overall appearance is similar to that of Bukishuken's appearance himself as he retains the same mouth piece that covers the bottom section of the face. Bio: As a student at the Soul Reaper Academy, Shinjiro excelled at melee combat and use of kido. He was so good that when he graduated, he was immediately given a seated position in the 3rd Squad. Shinjiro rose through the ranks and quickly became the Lieutenant. During one of his private training sessions, he gained Vizard powers. He hid them and made sure he never had to use them ever. Shinjiro continued to train and train, learning how to use Bankai. Some time after he perfected his Bankai, he realized that he had become even more powerful than his Captain. When the defections happened, he decided to go, knowing that the 13 Court Guard Squads had nothing left to offer him.
Personality: He is cold and calculating. No matter what happens, he always fights with honor. It goes so far that he would never attack an unarmed opponent. Shinjiro will never back down from a fight, even if it is a fight he thinks he'll lose. Whenever he puts on his Hollow Mask, he becomes more erratic, but he still fights with honor.
Other: When Shinjiro dons his Hollow Mask, he has silver irises and dark gray sclera. He fires silver Ceros from the tip of his sword. Each of his Ceros are orbs that can be guided by his sword. The sound of his distorted voice adds a roaring sound.

Zanpakuto Name: Ryukotsusei
Sealed Appearance: A Katana without the Tsuba, the handle is wrapped with ragged red cloth.

Shikai Power: Shinjiro can rev the sword handle to increase the strength of each strike. He can rev Ryukotsusei up to a maximum of 7 times before he needs to attack.

Ryukotsusei's special attack is called Soryuha. Shinjiro pours his Spirit Energy into his Zanpakuto. When he pours in enough energy, a red aura envelops Ryukotsusei and extends from it. He can use it to extend the range of his attacks, but he cannot fire it off. He can boost the strength of his Soryuha by revving the handle.
Bankai Name: Messatsu Ryukotsusei
Bankai Appearance: The Blade becomes larger, with a golden dragon running along the length of the blade. Ryukotsusei gains a Cross-guard that resembles two dragon wings. A Dragon head adorns the center of the Cross-guard. The handle is lengthened and a chain hangs off of the end.

The Bankai also give Shinjiro heavy armor on his left arm and both of his legs. The armor is a dark red and decorated with golden trim and draconian designs. Shinjiro's speed is impeded by the weight of the armor, though he has become accustomed to it through years of training.

With Bankai, he gains the ability to fire off powerful energy waves. This technique is called Messenkou.

Bio: During his time at the academy, Mugi excelled at swordplay and fighting, while he lacked in kido arts. But that didn't stop him from graduating and finally becoming a soul reaper, just like he always dreamed of.....that and being the strongest soul reaper to ever live! He knew enough kido to pass, while he was always training his blade, body and mind for combat. One day while he was out on a mission to the human world tracking down a hollow, he was ambushed by and was brought to the point of death, that's when he heard his sword speak to him, and he gained more strength than he ever had before, and slayed the hollow that almost had him for dinner. Later on down his road, he was locked into a pitched battle with a former vizard who finally lost it. The vizard lost, but not till he made Mugi into what he was, a vizard. Mugi hates that became one, and never uses his vizard powers, untill he is on the brink of death and he let's loose his un-holy power. Has had a rivalry with Sozen for as long as they have known each other, over pretty much everything.

Personality: He is a kind hearted spirit, but he has the ferocity of a samurai warrior. He will always be up for a fight, weather it is for fun, or to the death. For the most part, he is serious, but he has been known to crack a joke or two in his time. He has passion for everything that he does, because he was taught that if you don't love something and have a passion for it, then what use is there to living if you have nothing to live for. He cherishes he underlings and fellow captians an soul reapers.
Other: Will sometimes escape from his captains work to go relax under a tree and enjoy silence or practice his swordplay.

Bio: Kobayashi Became a soul reaper at a young age. Head of the Rai family of the soul society. Graduated from the Soul Reaper Academy as head of class and is a master of Hadō and Bakudō. Also can use Shunkō but rather not so only uses it as a last resort. He first became lieutenant of squad 2 until he was promoted to Squad 7 as captain.
Personality: Funny and caring Kobayashi is almost always there for soul reapers even if there not in his squad. His life story is a secret most people don't know. During battles though he is always right on target never wasting a movement.For some reason he walks the Seireitei at night.
Other: Loves to visit the Department of Research and Development and is rumored to be making his own kido.

Would I need to have watched or read much of the series to take part in this? I like Bleach, but I've never watched much more than clips of it. I have read a fair amount of the wiki though, and could continue to do so, as well as watch a few specific episodes.

If that's enough, I'd like to take Nel as an Arrancar, as well as my OC which I'd work on a little later.

Nope. That's the reason I didn't make it canon, so we don't have to worry about the details. As long as you have a basic understanding of the concept, the story thread should be all you need. Nel's all yours~

I'll accept you, but I'd prefer if you either changed your Zanpakuto type or your squad. I forgot to mention it in the rules, but I want Squad 11 to be like the actual series, a pure melee type. If you want to keep a water-type Zanpakuto, can you switch squads? Bushy Brow wants Squad 11 so you can let him have it (he posted before your post showed up so he didn't know). If not, Bushy can switch squads then, but you'd have to change your Zanpakuto to a melee-type. Also, your Bankai isn't strong enough. Bankai is supposed to be extremely powerful or least over a large area. OR you can move your position down to Lieutenant of the 11th Squad, without a bankai.
