A Dark World

"I'm staying." He said as he watch her struggle. "Come on! Your fights with me! Just let her go!"
His brother pulled out a knife and put it at her throat. "Stop struggling. I'll end this quickly if you continue to resist."
"Damn it! What do you want?!" Alaric asked trying to think of how to kill his brother without hurting Tessa. I have two knives...but they're in my boots...
"I want you to tell me where it is! Father's blade will assure my success! Or...if you still don't tell me I could always just go with option two. You dead." Alaric already knew that this would be his brother's answer and he didn't like it.
"Well...I guess I only have one option...since I don't know where it is." Alaric said raising his voice slightly.

 

"Tessa...don't try anything. I don't want you getting hurt. I can handle this." He told her. "I choose option two brother. Kill me." As he said it his brother let Tessa go and grinned evily.
"I know you're a man of your word. So come and let me end this pathetic existence for you." He said.
Not in this life. "Tessa don't worry about me. I'll be fine." Alaric whispered as he slowly started to his brother.

 

Alaric's brother vanished in another flash as Alaric pulled Tessa away. "Trust me. I know what I'm doing." He said with a smile.
His brother reappeared near his desk. "I'm waiting Alaric."

 

"Forgive me for what I'm going to do." He whispered as he walked towards his brother. "Come on. We both knew one of us would die tonight." Alaric said confidently already in front of his brother.
"It's over." His brother said darkly. Alaric flicked his wrist as a sound of a blade was heard going into someone's body.
Alaric stepped back as his brother fell back on the table bleeding, Alaric with a small blade extending from his sleeve dripping blood on the floor. "I'm done."

 

"Hey...It's not over 'till we get out of here. Way too many for me to want to kill." He said giving her a short hug. "Right no-" He was cut off at the sound of the several door surrounding the room broke open. They were already surrounded. "Well...I'd like to stay and chat but...my blade does not wish to taste anymore blood. I'm done here." He said picking up his brother's orb. "I'm going to miss my sword..."

bic: "Bye everyone!" Alaric shouted as he grabbed Tessa by the arm and teleported with her. They landed outside the castle entrance. "That felt weird..." He commented putting the orb away in his pocket.

 

"Yeah. We just teleported." He said making sure Tessa was alright.

 

"I'm amazed I actually survived...but...I have no more plans as of now. Other than surviving." He said looking at Tessa. "Heh, you're going to keep wearing all that?"

 

Now I really will have to find my father's sword. My old one is missing in action. "Oh well. Either way you look great." He commented looking at himself. Wow...no scratches. Did I fight that good? I lost a good tunic too...at least I still have the knife belts.
