I really think the world should go back to a system where you start taking specialized courses much earlier, or you have an apprenticeship system. Like have school the way it's done now till 9th grade, then you choose your specialty and then you begin learning based on that.

We have a numbered grade system over here.
Basically the grading scale is 0 to 20, with 20 being the highest and almost impossible to get and 10 being the average. Actually, getting over 15/16 is pretty rare in most cases (Especially in Uni). Anything over 15 is the equivalent of an A I guess, although it is difficult to translate the French grading system into the American system.
Getting a grade below 10 is considered as a fail, and you pretty much can't pass the class/year with a global average that is under 10.

Good for you. Do you find college hard? Have you decided on a major yet? Psychology is a very competitive field.

    Gym- 100

    Literature for College- 91
Auto Body- Below an 85(There's a difference in Street Racing body work and actual body work? Errr my dude they are still cars, just more expensive parts. I can't believe that even happened to me. How?)

Makaze what are your school grade ranges btw. I see you talking about other people so just wondering what your's is?

I'm in NY so mine(Well my school anyways)
    90-94= -A
    95-97= A
    98-100= A+

    80-84= -B
    85-87= B
    88-89= B+

    70-74= -C
    75-77= C
    78-79= C+

Anything below a 65 is failing

What do you mean by ranges? My grades or how many points are needed for an A? For the latter, this is what I was judged against:

    90-100 A
    80-89 B
    70-79 C
    60-69 D
    0-59 F

Not sure what you wanted, but I am graduated by now. Does that answer your question?

I miss the old days where a 70 was the lowest grade I was allowed to get. 80 is the lowest I'm allowed to get on average. Hurray for getting ready for graduate school.

I do not. I meant that those were the percentages needed for each grade. Is that what you wanted?

You will not get that with general psychology courses, would you? How far does it go?

I never understood how it's possible to get an F... I thought I was failing one of my classes, and it turned out to be a B.

Also, just to be even more of a ******, Spring semester 2011, I was on the Deans list due to straight A's and thus got invited to an honors society last semester to a honors society, and due to having good grades last semester, I once again got invited to another honors society.

Good grades, fk yeah. [And it's standard US Uni. Grading system]

It depends on a teacher. I got a 10 (or a A) by just showing up and showing some enthusiasm (and having your equipment) from one teacher. Then there was another who outright said that to get a A in her class, you practically had to be Finnish Championship level in track and fields at the very least, and above average talent in everything else (soccer, basketball, baseball, swimming, etc.) And while I like to try my hardest, I just am not a very athletic person, so I ended up getting a 7 (C I think?) in her class.

I didn't either... And then I started taking Swedish >.< Too many languages mixing me up...
