Jesus' Birthday

I'm sure they're having a jolly ol' time up there, I can just imagine:

Jesus is 2006 year old!

1. Jesus wasn't born 2006 years ago, if he ever existed, he would have DIED 2006 years ago.

2. This isn't Jesus's birthday. In fact, Christmas originally had nothing to do with Jesus. It began a pagaan holiday. Where large groups of men would come together and party to celebrate the new year. They'd exchange gifts, drink, and even have random giant orgies...o.o...

In fact, when yout hink about it, Christmas began as something that was completely against the teachings of the christian faith.>.>

Why is it celebrated by Christians at all?

 

im not an expert on this but over the years it was incorporated into the religion and changed to suit it by officials and such.... for reasons that i do not want to state for the sake of not insulting anyone. if youre really interested, read up on it.

Actually, BC stands for before Christ, so it's not possible that he died 2006 years ago if he was crucified at 32 yrs. old (which it states in the BIBLE). Also, historians believe that Jesus was born around 2 B.C. and A.D. started when the Magi found him, when he was two years old. So he probably died 1976 years ago.

WE just celbrate Christmas for when Jesus came down to earth in human flesh. We don't actually know what day and month he was born, so after ST. Nick started delivering toys to children, he stated he was doing it because the Lord above told him to. So they combine Christmas w/Christ's birth.

Jesus birthday was near easter wasnt it...???

 

I don't believe so, It's near when they had taxes the last time for the year in Bethlehem and other places near ISreal and Jerusalem. Have no idea when that is, but I don't think it was near easter, 'cause they went w/ the new year to go along w/the harvest.

 

Dec. 25 = Jesus' Birthday.
