i think the strongest are:

Xemnas, Saix and Marluxia.

 

I never thought of Xexion as strong. He seemed smart, but I didn't think he ever was a strong fighter. I'd say Roxas, Axel, and Xemnas proved themselves as the the strongest.

Perhaps they (besides Demyx) only survived a few battles because Sora was so strong when he faced them.

 

hmmm ya but i think Zexion is pretty wimpy hiding behind his fellow organizers

 

Thats kind of off topic.

He doesn't really hide behind them, he just uses them as an advantage when he's in a tough spot. He's just very intelligent, which could be a symbol of strength as well.
