Chain of Memories Zexion and his book from Hell

I can't seem to dodge the exploding book attack. any suggestions? also, he has this one attack where the book is engulfed in a lime green light and pages fly out in all directions. Please help...

Is this first time fight or the data battle fight? I assume it's the absent silhouette (first time).

Rolling Dodge or Quick Run might work (I say 'might' because I haven't played in a little while and this question isn't familiar to me). If you don't have it yet, don't worry. I didn't beat the absent silhouette of any org member till I was well past halfway through the game.
