Zelidar: The Land of the Sky

Callen laughed nervously as a bead of sweat poured down his face. "Would it help to say I was just kidding about to torture thing? I hear it kinda hurts, you know." Callen raised his hand and slowly lowered the sword still pointed at his neck. "How bout we sit down and-" Callen's eyes widened in surprise as his hand lost its color and became transparent-like once again (the last time being in battle). His hand had become a hand made of pure lineve. He could see through it, yet everything behind it looked distorted.
Callen looked further down his arm. The area, where the skin met the lineve, blended into one.
Callen was at a loss for words. His mouth hung agape. slowly he glanced up at the prince and princess. They seemed just as stunned. Callen removed his lineve hand from the sword and gave the two a nervous smile. "Would you believe me if I tell you that I'm just as confused as you are? heh heh....."

 

Envon took a step back, stunned by what he was seeing. The intruder was disappearing! No magic existed for this to be even considered with out some sort of incantation. Even if it was magic, he had had the mage guild set up wards against it. None of this was possible, none of it at all. It was as if a pawn on a chess board suddenly became a queen, or even a piece he had never seen. He had no idea what was going on and that made him feel trapped.

 

OOC: You can 'see' Lineve, in a sense. It's see-through, and yet when you look through it, everything looks distorted. See, it distorts/bends light. It's like looking into a tank of water or like looking into the distance, on a hot summer day, and seeing 'ripples' in the air.

BIC: Callen examined his hand some more. What that heck was happening? This whole day was full of riddles. Why was he here? What were these people going on about? What were those shadows? Why was he suddenly able to Shape today? And why the hell is his hand turning into Lineve?
At least it looked like Lineve. He had done plenty of research regarding Lineve so he could spot it on sight, but this shouldn't be possible. Nobody had the ability to make themselves into Livene. He wasn't even sure if he could call this an ability.

 

Nysta eventually stopped knocking on her head and let her arm fall to her side as it unloosened and she shook her head, "Alright I'll stop it's annoying me and probably you as well."​

Angin was still walking on the path as she was staring at the surroundings. She was slightly happy but slightly annoyed. Not only was the thing that could one day make her a hero almost killing her. But the fact she had no one to talk about it to get her to use it again. But all in all if she did have someone to talk about it. It would have been a dead person talking to her due to her only friends dieing.​

 

Trying hard not to gag, Ace yelled, "Because it's cold!" sarcastically as he charged forward swinging the pipe at the blade and another pipe Neoph held while shifting his body so the other two pipes hit his upper back instead of his neck. He stumbled forward and turned back to Neoph, his back hurting and his hands shivering from the vibration of impact.



On the deck of his ship, Vyse was standing next to Legeia, petting her while she let a roar like purr. The Arcadia had just landed in Lonta. He looked around at the crew and started commanding, "I want everyone doing something! Repair what you can! If you have nothing to do or if you're finished, then clean the ship!" The crew wasn't particularly fond of cleaning the Arcadia, but they would do it nonetheless. "The Arcadia better be brand new when I return," he finished as he boarded Legeia as he was saluted. Pulling the reins, he yelled "Yaha!" And Legeia took to the air after a short roar.

 

Callen rubbed the back of his neck with his normal hand. "Yeah... this is kinda new to me and all..." Suddenly, a shadow appeared, out of nowhere, right behind the princess. Callen's eyes widened as the shadow prepared to trust its sword at the girl.
"Behind you!" Callen shouted as he pushed the princess off to the side.
The blade lodged itself deep into Callen's gut. Pain pierced his body. No way! he thought, This can't be how I die!
Callen shoved his right hand, the lineve hand, against the shadow in an attempt to push it away from him. But instead of shoving the shadow, his hand dug into it's body. No.... not a hand. His hand no longer had the shape of a hand. It was in the shape of a blade. The shadow crystallized and shattered. The sword disappeared too.
Callen fell to his knees and slowly looked at his wound. What he saw made his eyes widen even more. he wasn't bleeding. the wound emitted a shinning light from inside his body. But that wasn't all that surprised him. His wound began to heal itself. The pain vanished. the wound was healed. Not a mark showed from where he was stabbed.
"What-" He began. "What's happened to me?"

 

Stunned, Envon saw the whole thing, everything. Every damn aspect of the event was impossible by any means all together. His blade clattered to the ground. The hardened metal ricochet off the hard stone and sending and sound that split the silence. Through twitching lips, The sly prince could only mutter one phrase.

"What...are you?"

 

Callen had been deep in thought when the prince spoke. He quickly snapped out of it, though. Slowly he turned his head to the prince. What should he say? How could he answer that question?
Callen managed a weak smile but it only lasted for a second. "I... I..." Callen looked down at his right hand. It was turning back to normal again. What was he, indeed. Such things are not possible, and yet it just happened. "I'm......."
What was this? What's happening?
Callen shook his head. "I'm not so sure I know myself anymore. What am I, indeed? None of this makes sense. How did I get here? Why can I now use Lineve? And why did my hand turn into Lineve? I don't know.... I just don't know."
Callen gazed at the princess. He tried to smile, but he could help but frown instead. So he looked away and thought for a good while.
"You said I was one of the monsters responsible for some mess. What mess exactly do you speak of?"

Dezzier smiled. "It bothers me not." He said before stopping suddenly. He could feel him. He could sense the one he was searching for. "If we continue on this way and catch an airship, we should make it to your brother in less than a day.

 

Neoph smirked as the pipe hit him in the neck. he licked his lips as he looked at Ace with a murderous gaze. "more..." he swung all 4 weapons at Ace's stomach.

 

Nysta looked over at Dezzier with a raised eyebrow then spoke, "That sounds good but.. how do you know where he is?" she said staying quiet.​

 

Dezzier Grinned a hungry looking grin. "Because, child, I can sense him. He's finally awoken."

 

Nysta's eyes widened, "H..he was sleeping as well?" she said confused then her face went back to a normal and obvious state, "Oh.. right.. we all were.."​

 

Dezzier, nodded. "In a manner of speaking, yes. Time past for us as though it were nothing." Dezzier chuckled to himself as he slid his hand across a nearby tree; a rare sight for the dried up landscape of Teiwn. "Time is such a funny thing, isn't it? If you don't pay attention, then it will slip right through your fingers before you know it." Dezzier chuckled again as he watched the tree wither and die.

 

Nysta watched the tree die then she nodded, "It just slips away.." she said getting quiet again.​

 

Dezzier looked at Nysta, from the corners of his eyes, and frowned. "You must forgive me. I'm not much of a talker, as you've noticed."

 

Nysta shook her head, "No.. it's fine.. I was always quiet myself.. it's just what's been happening lately that's been making me talk.."​

 

Surrn had been too focused on Callen to notice the shadow until a second before he had shouted at her. She was ready to duck and kick upwards due to the fact she had no time to turn around, but before she could do such she was thrown aside as a petty stand-byer who couldn't defend herself. She managed to stay on her feet. The next scene shocked her. He...couldn't be human. So, what was he?

Surren shook her head and listened to him as he spoke. "He saved my life, though it didn't need to be saved, we can least explain things since he seems like he truely does not know of the incident. Don't you agree?" She asked the prince.

 

The prince couldn't answer. How could he? Everything that he knew was crumbling. All he could to was try to compose himself.

Slapping his face, he tried to regain some color into his drain complextion.

 

Callen let out a dry laugh. He should have known better. He saw her fight after all. Callen rubbed the area where he was stabbed. It felt like he had just died just now. What happened? What was that? Callen shook his head and gazed out a nearby window to see the setting sun. It was quite a sight to see. Flowers were in blossom. The trees were lush and green.
Callen narrowed his eyes. That couldn't be right. Leaves shouldn't be green in the middle of Fall. Where things different here? No, he grew up here. Things aren't different.

 

Without a reply Surren decieded to carry on. "Scienist, incluing yourself, were studying the lievne flows correct? Well something must of happened during the inncident that had caused your memory loss and your...abilities. If you truely do not know how you got them then I am going to guess that maybe the sudden vanish of the flows might of somehow effected you in a way, but I can't say anything in certain since I'm more of a fighter than a scienist. Well, as I said, the flows you all were playing with vanished and thus everything started to change. The land and animals died, the lands changed, the land of Vizet Oi’zein rotted, and the shadows came." Surren stopped to take a breath. At first it didn't seem much to say, but there actually was a lot of words and explaining everything to someone who missed out on everything sounded like a chore. Hopefully the prince would help.
