Amber noted that there was no way they could catch up with Vyse and his ship and he had damaged her perious ship, but there was also no need to kill the man just yet. Without a rival the fun of a chase would be gone. "I"ll grant you a day's worth of a head start." Amber shouted to him. The lievne from her gun appeared as a sword next to Vyse, showing that she could of stopped him, but instead the sword flew towards Amber and took it's orginal shape in place on Amber's arm. In that day they could repair their ship and... burrow a faster ship that could keep up with the Arcdia.

Surren made sure that nothing dangerous was around once more before turning to Callen. She had grown annoyed by him and figured he was just toying with them, but they needed to prove that first. "Never seen them before but I have heard rumors.. Shadows no doubt. No one knows where they came from but ever since the Lievne project they've been poping up. Weird that they came here..."

The prince nodded slowly in agreement.

"Yes, very strange. It was almost as if they were drawn her, or let it. Possibly, they were given and entrance through a certain someone, one who just popped up and got near the princess."

Clutching his blade, He locked eyes with Callen.

"One who was attempting to assasinate a member of the royal family. Such a person would be right infront of me wouldn't they?"

 

Callen eyed the prince and grinned. "Do I really look like the kind of guy who would kill a pretty girl like her? Besides, I don't even know where the entrance to this.... Palace?..... is."
Callen removed his hands from behind his head and turned his attention to the princess. His grin had become a frown. What the girl said troubled him. It didn't make any sense. After a while of thought he finally replied to her explanation involving the shadows.
"I'm not understanding what you're saying here. Not until today have I even known the existence of these.... Shadows. Never have I heard any rumors. Never have I seen them. And what's even stranger about all that is that they said that they were here to kill me." Callen paused for a moment and thought a bit more. Finally he opened his mouth to speak again. "But what's strangest of all, is what you said about the Lineve Project. I happen to be one of the top scientists working on that project so I'm up to date with the project's development. I can tell you right off the bat that we haven't done anything yet. The project is still in the development stage. We haven't even begun testing yet. And as a matter of fact," Callen said while examining himself curiously, "I don't even know what I'm doing here. I'm supposed to be there."
Callen held up his arms hopelessly. "What a strange crazy world we live in."

 

The prince raised his blade and put it to Callen's neck


"YOU'RE one of them? You monster, you've ruined everything. I should fall you where you stand!"

 

The prince's aggression caught Callen by surprise. He gave him a questioning look before slowly raising his hands. One of who? Ruined what? What is this man talking about? wondered Callen.
"What? I'm not a.... Shadow. I don't even look like them. What are you babbling on about?"

 

"You're one of the damn maniacs that started the incident. All of lieve is torn asunder. It is a miracle that we haven't all turned to vapor!"

 

Callen was completely dumbstruck. "The Lineve is torn? What incident? Look I have no idea what you're talking about. My crew checked the flows just yesterday.... At least i think it was yesterday.... but anyway, the Flows were just fine, as normal as ever. I'm really not following you here. You got to believe me."

 

Neoph laughed. he pulled down the collar of his shirt to reveal his face. his teeth were crooked and his face was uneven. he looked like a monster. he started to get a hunchback. he sprouted two extra arms and picked up three pipes.

 

Dike was sitting in his family estate in the assasin society. The assasin sat there in the dark looking at the ground then his head looked towards the door. After an few moments he heard an knock and somebody talk the vice sounded noble and athoritive. "come in" Dike simply said as he watched the door open.

 

Vyse smiled as the sword flew back to Amber. With one hand, he held onto the reins of Legeia. With the other, he held his chest, putting pressure on the cut. Landing on his ship, he addressed his crew, "Full speed to Lonta! I'll get treated there." AFter that, he planned to head to Corntil. He had business he was putting off, but it seemed that he should do it quick.

Holding back a gag, Ace readied himself, "I don't know what the hell you are, but if it's a fight you want, bring it!" As he gripped the pipe, he remembered he was something else, too. He let loose on his concentration and his senses widened. He could see the individual hairs on Neoph's body, smell Neoph's rancid breath. Or maybe hsi breath was normal and this was the way everyone's breaths really smelled? He didn't think about it anymore, he held the pipe in both hands and waited for the thing to attack.

 

Neoph's lips had turned black and his hair had fallen out. his bald head had huge lumps on it. he smiled evily. he charged forward and swung the sword and the pipe at Ace's head. he swung the other two pipes at his stomach.

 

"So you really thought much of your brother." Said Dezzier. He had just finished listening to Nysta. She had told him all about Callen. Dezzier had become a tad bored of listening to her talk about him.
It was late. Dezzier smiled, he had just had a cruel idea on how to toy with Nysta's emotions. "How would you like to see him again?"

Ace hit the ground, avoiding all weapons but one pipe which hit him in the shoulder. The pain rang through his skin, past his muscles, and into the center of his bones. Ignoring the pain, he took his own pipe and swung it at Neoph's shin.

 

Nysta wasn't paying attention for a few seconds then her head shot up. "Are you serious? Yes..but.." she was then quiet for a second. "Is he still the same?" she said instantly getting quiet as she started loosing track about what she was talking about. "Sheesh.. I think my brain is rotting too.." she said knocking herself on the head.​

 

Dezzier gave her an amused look. "There's only one way to find out, isn't there?"

 

Nysta instantly shrugged, "I guess so.." she said knocking on her head again. "I think it is rotting.."​

Neoph winced as he heard a huge crack. the shot broke a few bones. he grinned as he used his sword to slice off his own leg. a new leg grew out of the stub. "good as new."
