You're Gone

I'm sitting in this lonely room
the teacher is talking
but I do not listen
for my mind is focused
on something else

I know that you're out there somewhere
but where must I go to find you?
You left in the middle of the night
leaving nothing to remind me of you
besides a small note

It's been so long
since the day you left
and I can barely remember your smile
but still I miss your gentle hugs
and I always wish you were there beside me

Now I cry at night
laying restless in bed
wishing that I was not alone
for I am afraid of the darkness
that consumes my heart

You used to always be there
to protect me from any harm
that may come near me
but it's too late now
because you're already gone

I got bored in reading class today... that's all I have to say.... (RHYMING ALERT!!! XD XD)

 

Oh! Another sad one. I hope you feel better soon DestinyStar. Hopefully you'll write a happy poem tomorrow.
