It's about the story of an English guy named Jude who gets on a boat in the 1960's and goes to America cause he wants to meet his American G.I. father, who turns out to be a janitor working at a college. He meets him and now has nowhere to go, so he gets a little help from a Princeton student named Maxwell. Max brings Jude to his house for Thanksgiving and introduces him to his sister named Lucy, who falls in love with Jude. Max has a fight with his family and drops out of college, moving to New York to work as a taxi driver, while Jude gets a job as a freelance artist. The two get a room in an apartment, meeting the landlady named Sadie, who's a professional musician, a guitarist named Jojo from Detroit, and a young Asian girl named Prudence who came in through the bathroom window.

That's all I can say without spoiling it, but many issues in the movie include, at largest, the war in Vietnam and the anti-war movement in America. The whole time, the characters sing songs by The Beatles to progress the story.

Whoa, you guys haven't heard of Across the Universe?? It's such a good movie!! It's not necessarily one of my very favorite movies of all time, but it's definitely worth the watch. And I have the soundtrack, cause it's awesome.

If you are a Beatles fan, then I highly recommend seeing this movie.

I know this sounds blasphemous but I didn't like Across the Universe. It was all a little... weird, and I get it, it was the 60's, but geez. Although I must admit I'm very fond of the Strawberry Fields part and the part where they visit Prudence in the circus place after Bono leaves.

And I can confidently say that my favorite of all-time is Wristcutters: A Love Story.

Yeah, it's one of those movies where you either like it or you don't. I mostly like it because of the soundtrack... and because the main character is pretty gorgeous... hehe...

It's okay, but even movies that sound like something you wouldn't like can turn out better than you thought they would, if you just give them a chance.

@ Sora Roxas: It's cool, you don't have to like what I like. xD I would recommend giving the movie a go, though. it's really not at all like it seems.
