Getting called into work on your day off because a coworker can't make it. Anybody else would be fired, but this happens to be the General Manager's son so, of course, he isn't. Oh well, if they don't notice, I'll have overtime tomorrow~
Guilty of crapping out of a shift on Sunday and needing coverage. :'c But I have a good reason, I swear.
I'm pretty sure the guy had a good reason this time, but since he's bullshitted it so many times before, I don't care how good his reason is. Reminds me of when my dishwasher called in sick. On Superbowl Sunday. And nobody else would cover him. Because it was Superbowl Sunday. So I had to work for both of us. On Superbowl Sunday. And I didn't get to watch the Superbowl. On Superbowl Sunday. ...Yeah, I was pissed.
Ah yeah, there were lots of people like that at my old job. I would usually take their shifts because I need cashmoniez, but it was still ****** to know that they basically would say "my social life is more important." One guy had the nerve to ask me to take his shift because he was "super busy" and "couldn't make it in," and then come see a movie at the theater we worked at while I was covering his shift.
